On the Norn quest “Sabotage” the voice actor for Drubin switches between two different actors. Each line he speaks has a different voice. Kinda hilarious, but probably not by design.
The difficulty of personal story battles appears to be currently based on total party size, versus the number of people in the instance. I just attempted Armaments (Norn story) for about an hour. My friend and I were in a party together, but he was off questing elsewhere. The quest seemed overly punishing and I died so many times I went from full repairs to naked. He came to join me and the number of mobs were exactly the same as when I ran it alone. In a single attempt, we easily beat it.
I have observed other story instances like this, where if I am partied but the party member(s) is/aren’t in the encounter, the fight feels very, very difficult. Dropping party or attempting it with two people make the fight suddenly manageable.
I am currently playing a Norn, not in any party, and I am experiencing inconsistent XP rewards for exploration objectives, across several zones (so far, Lion’s Gate and Gendarren Fields). Sometimes, discovering a new point of interest or a waypoint will reward me with XP, and sometimes it does not. When it does not give XP, it also is missing a sound effect for finding the PoI/WP, and there is no splash text on the right hand side. This appears to be happening for the first place I discover upon zoning into an area (although I’m reluctant to extensively test this, because that’s kinda a waste of XP).
I logged into Lion’s Gate overflow, then zoned into the server. I discovered a new point of interest and was not awarded XP. I went to Hoelbrek and did my personal story quest and returned to Lion’s Gate and was not given XP for a waypoint I discovered. I then left Lion’s Gate and headed north to Gendarren Fields. There was no XP for the first waypoint, but I ran through the zone and the second waypoint and first point of interest both gave XP.
I am experiencing this issue as a Norn. It appears to occur the first time a character talks.
The issue with the mail spam is that it’s filling up inboxes, since we can only have 10 messages there. I logged in today to find my inbox full of gold spam – which meant I missed receiving letters from actual players.
Physical tokens is a pretty outdated idea for MMOs, and I find it very odd that they exist for PvP (where you have even less time to spare to organize bags) when they have non-physical analogues in the form of karma.
Wow, the skin isn’t just something you can toggle on/off like dyes? I thought that was how it worked and was going to buy one – reading this thread, I have changed my mind. Bummed.
