Son of Drunken WvW – This time it’s personal!

That’s right, just when you thought it was safe to go back into the borderlands an old ghost returns to haunt your dreams. Son of Drunken WvW kicks off on Saturday October 3rd at 8 PM CDST.

For those who may have forgotten here’s a recap of the rules:

Play for Keeps: take a shot after we take a keep (doesn’t matter if we claim it or not)

Face First: shot for falling death

Direct Order: don’t disobey orders too much or don’t listen and your penalty will be a shot (officers discretion)

Risen Thrall: shot after full wipe (do not take a shot if rezzed)

Supply Stash: take a shot for every supply camp taken

I Call the Shots: Guild Leader discretion

Remember that the use of alcohol is up the the players, but the rules apply for any beverage of choice (alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages).

With the new Heart of Thorns expansion coming out we hope a lot of people will be returning to Guild Wars 2. Grievance in Guild Wars 2 is looking for new members, and we believe that if you take a moment to learn more about us you’ll like what you see.

Grievance (grievancegaming.org) values quality over quantity. We don’t do in game shouts looking for new members, we don’t sign up people before we know who they are, and they know who we are. We are a strictly No Drama Zone, and we pride ourselves on our family friendly atmosphere. Our members are adults, some with children of their own who join us for our in game adventures. Grievance is a decades old guild that brings people together across dozens of games, and not just GW2. Grievance had full-fledged guilds in ArcheAge, Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars The Old Republic, Rift and a number of other AAA MMOs. We have active embassies in Eve Online, H1Z1, The Repopulation, and WildStar. With hundreds of members and an active, dedicated management team Grievance is a power house of gaming, and we’re getting bigger all the time.

Grievance in GW2 just keeps on keeping on. We’re have a lot of fun with the Queen’s Jubilee which will wrap up this week. Plus there are the usual guild activities like the Guild Puzzle and Challenge. Oh, and there’s plenty of WvW going on too! Another week of good fun in Grievance in GW2! We had a good time finishing up the Super Adventure Box (yes, I have shown exceptional jumping skills) and we’re having a good time with the latest installment of Flame and Frost. Grievance had a pretty good week, followed by a pretty good weekend. We did our first Guild Trek last week, which was a lot of fun, and on Saturday we got a little group together to take on the Gates of Arah. Yep, we are counted among the Greatest Heroes of Tyra! Along the way we had a lot of laughs, helped some people out, and killed a bunch of invaders. You won’t find a more friendly group of folk, so check us out at www.grievanceguild.com.

We came, we saw, we kicked their butts. That was Thursday (World vs World) night in Guild Wars 2 for Grievance. You may have played a lot of PvP, but you’ve never had more fun than rolling with 20 or your friends and mowing down the competition in three faction WvW. Friday we take the night off, then on Saturday we’re back in WvW with a bit of a twist which you have to experience for yourself. So why are you playing by yourself when you could be playing with us? It’s Wednesday night and Grievance is doing dungeon runs! CM, AC, CoF and more. We’ll put together as many groups as we can, everyone who wants to go gets to come along. Those who haven’t done the story mode can get a chance to see what it’s like, and those that have can run a path with their friends and guild mates. Who knows what loot will drop? No mater what happens we’ll be having a good time with a great bunch of people. My account was banned on Sat the 10 of November. Today, the 13th, I see in my bank account that my purchase has been refunded. Let me be clear: I did not ask for a refund, I asked that my account be fixed.

For the love of God would someone please tell me what is going on here? I have heard nothing at all from support.

And so day 4 begins.

I am still waiting for someone in support to contact me about this situation.

4:30 on Monday, still no response.

Thus begins day three. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume no one contacted me about my ban or the ticket I opened because it happened on Saturday. I hope, now that the work week has started, that I will hear something regarding my issue.

This is very frustrating.

So what you’r saying Ruith is that ANet can’t tell us what they thought were were doing because that will let the bad guys know what ANet is looking for?

News Flash! What ever they are looking for is the wrong thing. I’ve never cheated at a game and I wasn’t cheating at this one. I’ve only had the freekin’ thing for a few days. My highest level character is only level 22 and I don’t know where anything is. What on earth could they be seeing in my account that looks to them like I’m a bot?

I’m not a bot. I’m a player and I was relaxing and enjoying a new game. Now I’m not. And the worst part is that since I wasn’t doing anything, and ANet is not going to tell me what they thought I was doing or why, when I do get my account back I’m going to be wondering when the next time I’m going to get randomly banned will be.

And the reasoning for this, that ANet cares so much about it’s players that it wants to make sure they get a fair experience? Where is my fair experience? If they were gonna ban me on speculation they could at least have some there to deal with my ticket when I posted it.

It’s amazing to me that they have people to ban accounts but no one to respond to questions about what has happened.

Honestly, when this happened I was a little annoyed, but not angry. I though “Hey, it’s just a false positive, I’ll call customer support and they’ll sort it.” Then I found out that there is no customer support phone number.

But it was okay, not a big deal. I’ll send in my support ticket and someone will get right back to me. After all, they’ve got to know that there’s a problem with their system right? Umm… not so much.

It’s been several hours now. Hours of my weekend gone while I sit waiting for someone to undo the thing that’s been done to me. I’m starting to feel a real sense of anger at being unjustly banned, and even more at being left hanging without any information about the situation or when I can expect it to be resolved.

I can only marvel at the restraint of people who’ve been waiting for days and days.

I was banned about 30 minutes ago.

Your Guild Wars 2 account has been terminated due to botting, extended unattended play, using macros, or similar behavior. Attempts to automate game play though any means or attempting to circumvent idle-time restrictions in any way is in violation of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. The account closure is permanent.

I’ve never done any of this stuff. I was at my computer playing. At one point about 5 minutes before the ban there was a stutter in the game play, I was running toward a wall but just before I reached it I was back in the field again. This happened two more times, I figured it was just lag and that was that. Next thing I know my client stops working and when I tried to log back in I found I was banned.

I put in a service ticket, but have no idea what to expect. What’s going on here?
