I had Ascalonian Killer, Shiverpeaks Killer, Daily Gatherer and Recycler. When I finished the jumping puzzle both Daily Puzzle Jumper and Skill Point Accumulator hit at once. That may be the reason for the bug. I got no chest and no credit in my monthly, but it shows my daily as complete in the daily tab. I’m certain I didn’t click the chest by accident as I have the same amount of laurels and no mystic coins in my inventory.

Almost every other armor to my knowledge is available in both. All armors in the PvP locker are called “PvP ____”.

I’ve looked all over the net and I can’t find where to get this in PvE. It’s not the same as PvE masquerade armor. It’s perfect for my necromancer though. Has anyone found this?

To me this jumping puzzle was perfect. It had an awesome design, theme and difficulty level. The issue of different sized characters overlapping needs to be resolved, but in terms of the level design, I’d love to see more like it in the future.

I might be completely off on this, but from a high level PvE standpoint, CC doesn’t seem to do a lot. When you’re on regular mobs it seems better to just spam AOE to tag everything before someone else kills it. On the other hand, bosses seem to be immune to most CC.

Activities In Order of Interest: Dungeons, WvWvW (Not yet 80 so will prolly have to come later), PvE, Occasional RP, PvP (I’ll try anything once. It might grow on me, but WvWvW appeals more to me from a tactics/teamwork standpoint.)
Active: I can usually get on whenever I’m scheduled a few days in advance. I pop on sporadically otherwise.
Additional Comments: I’m a newb, but I’m a pretty fast learner. I enjoy learning the ins and outs of a game and doing my best at it. That said, I’m pretty laid back. It doesn’t really bother me if someone messes up and I sort of expect the same from others. That might be a bad thing, but I just don’t understand the concept of gamer rage. If I’m too bad for you to enjoy playing with, don’t play with me. If the game frustrates you that much, take a deep breath, turn off the comp and go outside.

Sorry for the short soapbox moment, but I’ve had some weird experiences. I think this is a really awesome idea. It lets people get their feet wet and learn the game without being tied to a super serious guild. Maybe you make friends at the same time!

It is never a bad idea to get a piece or two with some vitality on it since our HP pool is so low compared to other classes (with the exceptions of the thief and elementalist). You don’t want to detract away from your healing power too much because your healing over time will equate to much more effective hp than stacking vitality.

Ideally, you want to get just enough vitality to survive a burst comfortably and then rely on your healing power to sustain you through the rest of the encounter. So, as others have said, do not spread yourself thin, but make sure not to skimp on at least some vitality.

So what would be a good target HP pool for this? What do you consider the minimum in PvE if you already have a fair amount of toughness too?

In that same vein, super awesome items shouldn’t be dropping from regular mobs. As you’re leveling, chests should be something awesome, rare and rewarding. Lowering equip drops from mobs would also go a little ways to fixing the crafting uselessness issue.

I don’t even have a massive screen and sometimes I get eyestrain from the FoV. However, I will chime in with one thing. Although FoV should be increased, it should not be able to be increased to the level that only is functional for massive screens. This gives a slight, but significant advantage in PvP.

First of all, I think they’re great pets. A lot of people don’t even give them the time to learn their F2s are actually different before they decide not to use them. Most people don’t like their F2’s mechanic, I do. The problem is just the shear amount of “cast time” for picking up and using an item. In that time you could be using multiple auto attacks and skills. If you’re by a downed friend or NPC you might as well not press the button. An easy fix to this would just be to have the pig bring it to you so you don’t have to waste time pressing F trying to pick it up. It would cut the “cast time” in half and not put you completely at the mercy of the interactable objects around you. I don’t think it would be incredibly hard to implement and it would make a pet with one of the coolest F2 ideas viable. It’s not a buff to their power as in my opinion they don’t need one, but a fun buff. Make the pet more reliably usable and it’s more fun!

Could anyone give me any insight into the other half of the problem? How do I keep my pet from aggroing every mob? I don’t want to play a “sit back and let your pet tank for you” ranger.

First of all, I’m asking for advice, not complaining. I’m a level 34 ranger who really wants to use birds. The problem with any pet with weaker defenses, is it just dies too fast. They end up with all the aggro and I just can’t pull it off them. I’m told that in later levels, the ranger main character starts doing more and more damage than the pet and therefore is able to generate more threat to pull aggro. Also, I’m told beastmastery helps toughen them up a lot. My question is, when do these things happen? How long should I expect to wait? Do I need 30 beastmastery for them to be viable? I’m not claiming to be a very skilled player. However, I do try my best to micromanage my pets away from telegraphed moves, Even then some of them are just too frail.
