Hi,
Has anyone gotten gold on this Adventure? I have been trying for quite some time and no matter what I do I always need another 10 or so seconds to finish. I feel like I’ve found a good route where you kick some down and take the ones that fall in your path, but I could be totally wrong. Should I be kicking them all down? Any help is appreciated.
I think the Elementalist is in an interesting position when it comes to raid healing (Tempest is probably better equipped for the role adding Water Overload and heal on shouts + WtPA). It’s not really equipped to be the sole healer of a raid (that may not be true eventually when/if it goes on farm), but they are able to be a really good hybrid. For example, I use all Berserker gear except my trinkets, which are Cleric’s (and may well end up Zealot’s, especially if the boss is looking for toughness to follow around!), and with that stat set I am able to dish out some solid damage and also heal.
That said, I think maybe some solid Raid teams will be about 2 subgroups with a hybrid build character in each, like Tempest or (not hybrid, but) Druid depending on how crazy they get. It may just be that one Druid or even a Tempest is enough for the raid, but the Tempest isn’t quite as good at targeted heals. Plus, the Auras may actually have some solid use in the new content (Frost is good anyway).
Anyway, here’s what I tried and would like to improve on when Raids are released:

How is tempest? I am considering making one.
I think it was a lot of fun, I am looking forward to speccing my ele into it on release.
I tried it and liked it, Tempest is all about being in the middle of the action and OH dagger helps with that. I mostly use MH dagger and then change my OH depending on what I need at the time. More offense = dagger, more utility = warhorn, bit of a mix = focus. But dagger is gonna help bridge the gap with air and give you another frost aura along with some control.
You don’t need to only do one role. I have felt pretty good about a berserker/cleric mix and throwing out heals while also doing boons and damage. Plus the control with most of our weapon sets.
I have been playing Tempest over the weekend and it’s been really fun. I feel like I have solid team support and good damage too. The only thing is, sometimes when I apply an aura I can’t it on my allies, even though they say they can. The effect is also on them. It happens with frost and flame aura but never shocking. Is this a graphical setting? Or maybe a bug? It happens in the open world and in the raid.
Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks!
