It’s mind blowing how many people are upset that you actually have to work for something in Guild Wars 2. Game is already EXTREMELY casual, let those who enjoy a little effort to have something every once in awhile, jeez.
Hopefully Ventari. I think there has been enough threads especially this beta to hopefully get Roy to help it out.
Pretty much agree with this post, have faith in good changes coming. Really hoping Ventari gets the love it desperately needs.
I just love the concept of that legend, but it’s pretty overwhelming how many people agree that it needs some serious love, we’re just not sure how to fix it. Not a lot has been done to it through the betas sooo is anyone else worry that we’re going to see it stay in the same bad spot it’s in? So far I’ve only seen PvE players and zerg players say good things about it, and I can see WHY they think it’s in a good place as I do enjoy playing those styles of game play on occasion, but realistically in a game that is designed to be fast and full of lots of movement, tablet falls so incredibly short. Small radius, long cast times, high energy costs, not that great of healing, and let’s not even begin to touch on the speed in which it travels. I want nothing more than to play like ventari/glint, but as of right now pretty much every legend far outshines ventari and I’ve seen a whole lot of people agreeing so I know I’m not alone, not to mention I’ve played rev every single beta available.
Interesting post, but generally correct. Ventari is pretty horrible currently. Great design, but needs a lot of tweaks. Slow, small radius, not much of a heal, with a long cast time and high energy costs. Simply not worth it especially in a game like Guild Wars 2 that is designed around fast combat with lots of movement.
I really hope they don’t balance the tablet around zergs and PvE. Any small-scale engagement or even solo is going to show you just how horrible Ventari is right now compared to…well any of the other legends in general. It’s slow, clunky, small radius, long cast times, and high energy cost. Great concept, but needs a lot of tuning to be actually viable.
I guess I can only beg so much before the game actually releases. I love ventari by design, but it is just so useless and bad in a game like guild wars 2 where the combat is fast and mobile. The heals are small radius, slow casting, and not worth the energy they cost. I find myself using no other skills because im spending multiple seconds to cast a heal that heals maybe 10% of my hp and 99% of all allies are away from the tablet before the heal actually goes off. I can only hope the devs finally give ventari the love it deserves before launch, it needs it so incredibly bad. Glint is good, Shiro is good, Mallyx is not as good as it was, but still pretty solid, Dwarf is bad, Ventari is worse. I was so pumped to be a tank/healer with the Rev and I figured it’d get some love, but it’s still just in a terrible spot. I get that the energy system is new and will take time to balance, but as of right now I just feel at a huge disadvantage managing CDs AND energy while other classes just deal with CDs. Here’s to hoping it gets love this month.
