I think Araris’ idea would be perfect. I definitely don’t want chat to be spammed. That would be awful. Being able to select ‘add friend’ would be great, one caveat though, we really need the option to remove friends. That way if someone turns out to be abusive, you can just de-friend them.
Wow! Great idea for a guild. I don’t know if there will ever be room on TC for people who need to transfer though. Has anyone had luck transferring recently?
I would like to come support this, but I don’t want to leave my server
Good luck guys!
I’m with Fellknight on this one. I think Ranger’s should have a reveal of some sort and maybe guardians should have something similar.
Love your idea piedplat. I think it would be great if you could click a ‘warband’ option when you first get to a map.
Join Warband [] <—that’s a checkbox
Squad 1 [] (leader is Someplayername) <— mostly pugs here
Squad 2 [] (leader is Anotherplayer[TAG]) <— let a guild ‘claim’ a squad
etc….
A players squad number would show up somewhere on screen?
Maybe squad leaders chosen by commanders or just anyone could jump in?
I think this is really unimportant. I die all the time in WvW (because I am terrible), and I never use alt-F4. On the rare occasions when I am going to kill someone, I don’t care if they close their game. I don’t think anet should try to control when/how people shut down the game. At the most, just give credit to any attackers if a player alt-f4s and let the poor guy avoid repair costs.
I loved the way it worked before. I had a great time chatting with opponents and I never got any negative whispers. Maybe because the method wasn’t well known or players thought it took too much time, idk. It makes WvW a lot more fun. I was wondering, if there was a method for communicating with opponents, could anet set up rules and we report anyone abusive? Maybe they get banned from WvW for a while? That’s my vote anyway.
I don’t think we need names. I like seeing ‘server name’ invader.
That seems smart.
I agree with the people who find the repeated matchups boring. What do you guys think about having a ‘jumble’ week every fourth week or so? If the algorithm was adjusted some, points could be correctly assigned based on the relative ratings going in to that week, then back to tiers the next. Some weeks us lower ranked servers might get killed by SoS or someone, and SoS would be a little bored, but I would like the variety and the challenge.
