Oh and btw. What an excellent image to illustrate my problem (OP here). This is me playing warrior this evening. And I swear to all the gods that I tried my best to win in all of those games. Well parhaps after chain of leavers/afkers in my team (which you can see on the score) I got triggered. But I still tried. I dont remember I ever seen smth like this on my Game History window. I lost one and half tier of rating in few days. Once Im done with warrior it will take weeks of cheesing on DH or engi to get back my lost rating.
Try this mace/torch build, it works great for me. You basically do condi burst after the initial 8-10 seconds (just avoid fighting until then), stacks go really high and it’s very hard to cleanse.

I’m doing somewhat ok but that’s because I’m playing only warrior since the beginning. This season the following builds work for me:
- GS power my standard build it still works the best for me
- Some Mace/torch condi build that I had loads of fun with
Everything else I get annihilated easily. With these builds sometimes I can kill the opponent quickly, while avoiding middle red circles, where I die instantly.
They truly nerfed warrior sustain hardcore to the ground, it’s miles from every class right now. Hope it will be changed soon.

I have been playing with STR/DEF/BER using GS/Bow. I’m using Rune of Speed and Mender amulet. I’m mixing the skills, but so far zerker stance/balanced stance/signet of fury works best for me. It’s surprisingly fun, finally I don’t die every 3 secs. The heal tics are pretty nice as well and my damage is consistently in the 4-500kish area. To me, this is a great imporvement from previous seasons suckness.

Nope. I just want warriors into spvp but without sustain passive traits.
How do you want to do that when every single other classes have crapload of passive sustain traits but warrior? I mean, why do you want the warrior to be only class without?
I think the perfect idea for a unique warrior theme in the current settings would be if ALL warrior hits/skills would be unblockable to SOME degree. For example, regular hit 100% damage, hitting through an enemy’s block 50% damage, hitting through blindness 30% damage (I can’t see him but I can hear him, so I can still make some pain) etc…
I think it would bring a pretty unique concept to the warrior class that noone else has, while keeping the “master of weapons” – somewhat tainted – image. Basically you could never really stop a warrior from hitting you, he would always find some way to hurt you some.

I’m playing warrior in pvp in thief-style, without the vanishing.
Sometimes it works.
How is this the wrong thread? The dev just asked here for solutions.
I think to solve this issue, there should be an optional checkbox for players.
For lower levels, using the checkbox you accept that you can rolled in with higher lvl players (optionally, with higher rewards), and for high level players, the checkbox would let them allowed together with lower level players (with probably decrease their loss and gain by 30% if they do).
With this, players will have a free decision if they want to get rolled together with high/low league players with some consequences.
I think they need minions to fight and rule other elder dragons. The one with the most minions wins.
Thank you for the replies, this sounds cool, I hate the gear grind (and especially happy that this pve gear works fine for wvw).
So after the relatively easily atteinable exotic gear, the next step is the superlong craftable/randomgenerated ascended gear?! There is nothing inbetween? And why do I need ascended gear if I can do the current content happily in my exotic gear?
What is the gear progression in GW2?
I have a 80 warrior.
First I had quest gear, then yellow gear from world boss chests.
Then I’v been doing dungeons and now in full exotic gear (with berserker stats from CoF).
What is the next step, which zones/dungeons/places to do? WHat is the next level of gear that is an upgrade on my current one (which has a nice set bonus now as well)?
Please bear in mind that I hate crafting and won’t do that, open world/dungeons/pvp/wvw is fine I’m doing all of them.
