You should definetely go sinister. You can go sinister weapon/trinkets with dire armor for added lf. Then spite,soulreaping,reaper. I went rune of balthazar which does work well with dhuumfire. Sigil of smoldering/bursting for weapon. At 25 stacks might the burning ticks at around 5k, 7k with quickness. For reaper trait you can go augry,deciminate,reaper onslaught. For one rotation of auto attack you can easily go 10 to 15k constant dps. It might go higher if the enemy is below 50% and 33%.
Reaper sustain in pve is insane with the amount of life force reaper can generate now. It can provide constant dps without having to worry about your hp unlike other classes that needs to pause their dps in order to perform active healing/defense. Also with curses reaper can do corrupt boon every 5 sec. Blood magic provides decent amount of group healing plus prevents downed state groupmates from dying fast(game changer). In hot maps my necro will probably outdamage most classes not because of skill damage but because of the shroud mechanics not needing to retreat during combat. My condi reaper can solo the rampaging champion in VB pretty quickly so hopefully that will translate its performance in raid.
ArenaNet nailed the music this time. Specially the “Tarir, The Forgotten City”. That music is so fricken magical. I hope they Add it to WvW & EOTM BGM.
As a WvW I never really bother with Gw2 BGM but this expansion is so good.

If you’re playing in SEA or Australia you will know that’s its hard to get less than 200ms ping on Gw2, it will always average at 200ms. The reason is because Gw2 Servers sits in the middle of the US(Texas). Routing to west coast like San Jose, Los Angeles or even Seattle should lessen the ping by upto 50-80ms.
I’m not sure how will this work but maybe having a direct backbone from west coast to Texas should improve the routing?
Playing on average 200ms not only affects game experience so much but also competitively your always handicapped.
Just a thought that comes by.
this is a very good suggestion. both enemies and allies will have better visuals hint during gameplay. specially on terrains like low level water or cliffs it hard to know when cpc was cast. better animation should improve it.
Microsoft just released Directx 12. Which I think would benefit Gw2 overall.
With i5 and Gtx 970 @ 1080p, world boss event still gives Gw2 around 10 – 20 fps.
Now the question is would the dev’s consider recompiling HoT for Directx 12?
I can just imagine the benefit of Dx12 draw call improvements in WvW and world events. Would love to see Gw2 being upgraded to dx12 in the future. hopefully.

$50 is a lot considering how many games you can buy on steam with that amount of money. The expansion pack should have cost $10—20 for the existing players and $30 for new players. I feel really sad about this.
Reaper. Just like with the staff 1 whenever a necro swing a GS the black smoke scythe appear.
Been playing this game since Dec 2012 and I only play necro. It’s the only Level 80 on my character slot so it looks like I’m not getting bored of it. Tried different class but necro playstyle is really weird. For starters necro is the weakest class but once you mastered it, its quite OP. It’s one of the class where the gap between an adept and an expert is really huge.
I’m currently running Power for PVE and Condi for WVW. From time to time you can be a minion master or a blood magic build for roleplay.
I still think necro needs improvements specially the minion AI.
I think Anet after a year of gathering data on demographics and play style of players have ultimately decided that PVP/WVW content does not provide good revenue. When i first played GW2 I instantly notice the strong foundation given to the combat system during its early stage of development. In fact I think the first concepts was the combat system. GW2 is by far the best mmo combat system I have ever played and its really saddening that contents like PVP/WVW and to some extent class and skills is being left for granted.
Anet needs to fix WvWvW coverage/population wars. It’s hard to attain it but at least minimize stacking of huge population in one server.
WvWvW is the most imbalanced match up i have ever played in my 12 years of playing mmo’s. even the old school mmo’s have better matchup scaling than gw2.
As a player playing in FA i should say this tourney is so badly broken. At least for gold league.
Its just so mathematically impossible to play with TC this week.
Its like the other two servers are mere punching bag to entertain TC while they wait to go back to t1 match next week.
PPT becomes a joke when a Guild started growing in numbers and doing well in large scale fights. then there’s GvG. after a short while the Guild will start to crave for more fights rather than defend or cap towers/keep. server hopping is inevitable until being disbanded.
FA has literally no OSX/SEA.
All the DB SEA you all should go to FA.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. DB has a large organized SEA population. It’s either FA NA go to DB or SEA DB go to FA. Although FA has always been a T2 server.
SoS SEA is just insane with 4 large organized guilds rally everyday, although Mag can certainly put up a fight with SoS during SEA time.
Anet needs to reboot the coffee machine. The lag and constant dc is unplayable.
I don’t even know why they keep using kitchen appliances. Last time it was a bread toaster.
I play in SEA time and I really like this suggestion. I previously played RF online wherein the RvR in that game happens three times in 24 hours and if i remember correctly thats 5 am, 1 pm and 8 pm each war having a duration of three hours. Maybe for Gw2 we can do a Three 6 hour long WvW in a day to cover all timezones. During off-war time WvW map is still open but the castles and towers will be reset to their respected owners once the wvw resumes. This way players will need to prepare and gather in numbers. Will lessen the coverage wars. There is also time for WvW players to do their PVE stuff and PVE to do their WvW stuff.
The only level 80 character I have is a necro. Played the game for 4 months in 2013 and I just came back last January. The only problem with necro which I strongly believe is Anet absurdity is the lack of any kind of leap or teleport which makes this class so hard to play because you cant disengage to any fight may it be wvw, pvp, pve. Not too mention bugs that I was surprised is still present when I resume playing this game lol. Despite this I still like playing an underdog class in any mmo.

this match up is probably the worst matchup for Kaineng. I mean look at all this forum threads/posts full of hate, crying and accusations.
