II/IV/XII, which I think is the same as yours.
I may just be expecting something unrealistic from a class not really designed to handle 1vX encounters.. or I’m just bad at warrior right now.
A couple of good offensive characters will always take me down, even if it takes a bit of time.
I really need to clean up my original post, Might not be a bad idea to go III VII XI for auto stability, as well as 25% endure pain. then you could run another endure pain from your utility bar, as well as Another absorb from defiant stance if thats how you choose to heal.
edit: my warrior can sometimes take a couple of people but if they are really bursty you could have issues. But as long as you keep the condition pressure on them it’ll die eventually.

Id advise looking into you defense line and swapping out your traits with the ones i just mentioned.
Sorry not sure what you mean here. I was already playing 0/10/30/30/0 which is about as defensive as it gets.
It may just be my lack of experience with warrior. I’m somewhat used to trickier classes like mesmer/thief where we have lots of “get out of jail free” cards.
Seems a weapon with stuns/dazes like hammer might also be a bit more forgiving. But I’m a sucker for condition builds, what can I say.
Well not your trait points, but your traits themselves adept/master/grandmaster, I posted two options when using traits, what were your specific traits within defense?
kornfan, just ignore the complainers. Always good to see new builds and ideas.
I just tried this in PvP, granted I’m inexperienced but I noticed that in hairball fights with many players I had a hard time staying alive despite the very high toughness I was able to gear up to. Maybe due to a lack of CC? How do you handle that?
Id advise looking into you defense line and swapping out your traits with the ones i just mentioned.
Bow5 is rediculously awesome, I always use Bow5 to kite after i’ve applied bleeds, I ALWAYS pop sword 5 on thieves/warriors w/e, Itll save you from prematurely popping your automatic stability and could save you some HP off backstabs or alpha strikes. I havent tried this build in Spvp, but ill give it a shot today and see how it goes for me.
I just copied and pasted my original post to identify the skills:
Sure footed,-Increases all stance durations by 25%
Last stand- Automatic Stability that lasts 10 seconds with sure footed applied, Cool thing about this is it applies and negates any CC that takes the form of a stun, so those trolling downed players will knock you on your kitten NO MORE!
Defy pain- Great automatic OSHI- Proc that applies at 25% and pops endure pain which is a 5 second direct damage negation utility (If traited) 4secs if not.

well he has the guts to actualy post something that isnt critical damage based on a mind closed forum so he has my respect.
The guts? Wow how brave…if you look at my post history ive made at least 30 different posts on condi warr. Any lone who still doesn’t think condi warr is really powerful has had their head in the dirt. I just get mad when people post the generic condi build and act like Nike said, “an angel appeared to them in the night and revealed unto them the most OP warrior build evar!!!” When in actuality people have been running this since before torment was introduced.
Well thats great dude, i’m glad its a popular build, its really fun. The post was made to post my decisions when making or altering this build, what i was thinking when i made the changes and what you guys think about it.
My suggestion: drop 5 points from Arms, add 5 points to Discipline. Fast Hands is a must have.
Good point, ill try that today
Horrible HP, change all trinkets with prec-tough-vit-cond stuff then it will be good.
20k Hp is horrible? I figured since warriors had one of the highest starting health pools that I didnt even need to touch it. Or at least that was prior advice. Ill play around with some trinkets this morning and post back some stats, see if i cant give a little more wiggle room.
I’m relatively new to warrior and kinda just figured sw/sw /bow is the only way to do it on a condi build designed for solo-Small group roaming.
Moving on,
First off I decided on Rabid everything. Crit is needed with this, so dire is out the window, I decided that Antitoxin runes provide the mix between Melandru runes as well as applying extra offensive pressure needed in a condition setup.
Traits : 0/30/30/0/10
Arms:
III- Deep cuts 50% bleed duration
IX- Opportunist Fury on immobilze, which is handy on flurry and pin down
VIII- Blademaster – Really helps set off a flurry as it is in conjunction with fury, Providing 30% crit on top of the inherent 50% the amor/weps/trinks provides.
Defense:
II- Dogged March – Good health regen on top of the signet, reduces time on movement impairs, Always essential IMO.
IX- Clensing Ire – Another good skill, capped out flurry will remove 3 conditions.
XII- Spiked armor – I felt this skill important for thieves and mesmers due to the fact they can be hard to lock down. so why not let them damage themselves in the meantime?
Dicipline:
VI- Signet mastery- Reduced CD on signets, Bread and butter at the start of a fight. signet of rage, only for it to get ripped and stolen
But either way, after thats ripped worst case scenerio this build still provides fury retaliation Stability and swiftness.
I decided that this setup would apply alot of pressure by applying bleeds consistantly both through duration of existing bleeds as well as easy application of new ones, which is why instead of dire armor I went rabid, for extra crit to stack more bleeds through precise strikes and deep cuts.
For my weapons i went Ofc, Full rabid with the longbow using a poison sigil(Sigil warriors beware) on wep swap, Generosity on main hand sword and +10 Condition on kill for the offhand.
The Doom sigil is probably my favorite. apply 15 stacks of bleed, let them cleanse, hit the bow and apply poison just before a heal. love it! I’ve found generosity is best used in conjunction with flurry as it has the highest odds of transferring the condition, and naturally getting +250 condition damage is always nice.
Then for utilities I went with bull’s charge, For the KD and extra movement, Signet of stamina for a condition clear, and then balanced state. With signet of rage being my elite. I really like this setup with the reduced CD on signets because balanced state and signet of rage can be alternated for almost full time 33% movement speed.
there are many similar versions of this setup that i’ve seen but this one has worked best for me. I’ve tried Melandru’s/lyssa runes as well as condition duration/damage sigils and I believe I found the best mix of runes/sigils to my taste and liking.
What do you guys think?
Alternate Trait setups:
0/25/30/0/15
So instead of running Spiked armor and Dogged march, I took into consideration that I am already using a condition duration reduction armor. Which also effects movement impeding conditions, and being as I have a long bow to deal ranged damage, I didnt feel that it was that big of a loss, and that spiked armor(While efficient) could pale in comparison to the other traits I’m currently looking at:
Sure footed,-Increases all stance durations by 25%
Last stand- Automatic Stability that lasts 10 seconds with sure footed applied, Cool thing about this is it applies and negates any CC that takes the form of a stun, so those trolling downed players will knock you on your kitten NO MORE!
Defy pain- Great automatic OSHI- Proc that applies at 25% and pops endure pain which is a 5 second direct damage negation utility (If traited) 4secs if not.
Dicipline line- I noticed two options here, Signet recharge or Vigor on popping a stance (Signet mastery and Vigorous focus respectively) This is where the build kinda defines your utilities however; (I also added 5 points for fast hands onto this as advised by the community)
You could use bezerkers to gain adrenaline and prevent conditions (Traited for 10seconds) on a 60 second cd, Or you could run signet of stamina and get a full clear on a 36 second CD traited.
So signet’s with reduced recharge or stances that give 6 seconds of vigor per pop,
*Obviously you can still run one or the other, just a matter of cohesion and benefits from traits to utilities come into play here.
and onto the heal:
Defiant stance is also modded by your trait line, Its situational and can fail and screw you over, but it can also save your life, Also can be used as a direct damage and condition barrier which negates damage and heals. Can also be screwed over by Defy pain at 25% proc.
Or you can just roll with the healing signet for passive regen which we all know is nice, but not effective for bursting.

One thing I do know is that energy procs even when your endurance is full. Combined with the shared cooldown, that may be the reason you’re not seeing any use out of them.
Good info, Yeah I tried it just now with no dodges and nothing procced in combat, kinda upset about it. might send in a petition and see if theres a bug or if its intended.
Have you tried them in combat or only out of combat? Because as far as I know, they only work in combat now.
Also, they share cooldowns so if one of them triggers, the other won’t trigger for a few seconds either.
Just trying to pinpoint the problem here…
P.S. hearing things about ascended gear, i know of it but does a exotic setup get smushed by a ascended one? just curious.
Player skill is still more important than gear, however Ascended is reaching a point where you’ll notice the difference. Ascended weapons for example, give a roughly 5% damage boost. There are traits that do as much. You can still get by and be competitive with exotics, but ascended will make things a bit easier on you.
So energy and Battle share a cooldown now? Never knew that, I tried it in combat a few times and it never proced for me.
Hi all, Old returning player, was playing around in my bunker build (Full clerics 0/0/10/30/30) and i noticed that when i switched attunements that my superior might sigil wasnt stacking nor was my energy sigil not working. before I quit both worked properly, Was there a nerf to these sigils that i’m not aware of? it was bad before but now my ele hits like a wet noodle.
P.S. hearing things about ascended gear, i know of it but does a exotic setup get smushed by a ascended one? just curious.
Thanks all!
Yes, I believe the fight club reformed afterwords though, Dunno, I didn’t care. RE was out of hand.
Morning everyone ~
To clear up what happened last night at the Fight club (Which I had a great time at) Me and a guildie we’re watching a fight on the AR side when two guys (A asura warrior and human thief) decided to attack me and my guildie out of the blue, they killed my guildie and i let it go until about the fourth go, then when I rezzed him I was attacked. so i wiped the thief and warrior and the RE guild started jumping me and my friend, and im not talking two people, im talking 15.
Hodge saw it and thought it was uncalled for, so Me Hodge and buffalo bills wiped that RE guild.
WARlords of anvil rock WAR Lords and TDME were all involved in that.
Next time dont shoot me.
Cheers
Mittens.
Hi there, are you looking for a smaller guild that has a focus on friendship, Spvp and WvW? Well if so you’re in luck. BAMF is a small guild compromised of a few close friends who are already geared, seasoned pvper’s who like to roam in WvW and partake in Spvp.
BAMF isnt openly recruiting, but we are considering taking in more players as the time passes, so if you feel like you have what it takes to be the best and wear the tag,
Drop Mittens the Mouse a mail or PM, and we’ll talk.
personally I run a Sword/Pistol then GS, and tbh the damage from iduelist/beserker by themselves is outstanding, I stack crit/power/precision how you want to, with full beserker gear with full divinity runes(Due to the fact that too much crit dmg/chance in your runes/sigil’s will pretty much be blown by diminishing returns, so i figure get a little bit of everything!
) as far as my setup goes 10/30/15/10/5, some people question it, but i find this setup gives me the survivability to withstand the occasional thief, and the pure damage output to send a bunker ele running over that hill with their tail in front of their nose. The beautiful thing about GW2 is that your setup can be unique to your taste, and that your playstyle can be your own. for me, i’ve always been the glass cannon with a twist kind’ve guy. so naturally mesmer appeals to me, for the fact that you can spit out clones that can take alot of heavy hitting moves off your HP bar, which buys you time.
Hi there everyone, I’m out of Anvil Rock, and my characters name is Mittens the Mouse, Lvl 80 mesmer, I’m ADDICTED to pvp, (Not so much Spvp due to the fact that i worked so hard for my armor and skin set and then cant flaunt it there).
Anyways I do most of my PvP in WvW, in the borderlands, mainly by myself(Which i would like to change) and occasionally you’ll catch me throw up my commander tab and lead people to keeps and towers or the occasional XP/Karma train.
Here’s the part where i ramble about my player experience in other MMO’s (Prepare yourself)
In most MMO’s I play I look for a mixture of chaos and mischief in my friends,(I’m AD in the army so i like to change things up on my personal time) some would consider me a troll, I would consider it picking on people who deserve it :P. Anyways I’d like to find a group of people who like to pvp as much as I do, and i’m looking for a SMALL guild, but i want those people to be active. i’m used to comradeship with a smaller group of friends, not seeing random people i dont know in chat pop up every hour.
Anyways feel free to post up here, or hit me up on Mittens so we can get chatty!
