It’s pointless arguing about this anymore I feel.

I knew the moment someone said you could push someone to their death via environmental damage that every griefer would come swarming this post to defend what they believe to be fun, that is to annoy others players.

On a side note, they could remove Falling Damage from PVE and keep it for PVP.

Saying it’s “the driving force in game design will be interesting, fun, dynamic, and fair behavior in PVP” seems pointless to me.

Because if that’s the case why even make PVE content, might as well balance everything for PVP and just make a PVP game.

I’m pretty sure I read many time from ANET during development how important PVE was for them.

Anyway…. I forgot how forum had turned over the years and I’m getting to old for these kind of assault, reminds me of D3 forums although I don’t visit these anymore and won’t visit this one after this post either.

I don’t mind if peoples are against an idea, it’s far from being the problem with fanboys nowadays.

I’m sorry for being stupid.

I was under the impression that Falling Damage was not fun and unnecessarily restricting a player’s ability to enjoy the game.

I’m sorry but to me it equals to ZERO fun when I die from falling damage.

I would love to be enlightenment has to how Falling Damage has a whole help improve the ability for a player to enjoy playing this game.

As for jumping puzzle I have solved almost 99% of them without ever dying once, I’m sitting at 1100+ Achievement Points and I never once liked Falling Damage.

I’m just sad that peoples actually can find something has trivial has this to be fun or worst to even bring something to a game.

Unrealistic?

It’s a game we are playing, right?

Why?

Today, I was playing Borderland 2, yeah comparison… I know but still, I was finding myself on top of some SUPER HIGH house and well I fell down…

In my head I was DEAD because well in GW2 I would have died like always, so I was prepared to die.

To my great surprise nothing happened, I was alive.

I sat back on my chair, thinking for a few minutes and here I am suggesting this.

Why?

Because dying from jumping down a mountain, falling from a bridge or heck from a small hill, is annoying, not fun and make me angry, most likely I’m not the only one.

Ask yourself this:

How many time have you died from the environment compared to from Monsters or Players in PVP?

My answer is simple WAY more time have I died from the environment then from Monsters or Players.

Please let us have fun jumping from HIGH places and moving like crazy peoples, don’t punish us for moving to fast!

Off Hand Sigils Don't Work.

I would like to know if it is a bug too.

I have tried various combo of Sigil but none work with Off-Hand and it does appear to be a Bug otherwise Focus, Shield, Torch ect which are exclusively Off-Hand shouldn’t be having the option to have Sigils.

Here I’m comparing my Warrior to my Elementist both level 60.

Warrior see pack of mobs, move in with longbow, does 2-3 skills everything is burned to death, 3 sec later I win, no sweat.

Elementist see pack of mobs, goes Fire cast skills, switch Water, cast skills, Switch Earth cast skills, switch Lightning cast skills, wait for Fire to recharge then finish mobs… 1-3 mins later I win, no sweat.

Problem?

Yeah my Warrior faceroll the mobs, no contest, no fear of dying, much faster, much more efficiently and that with WAY much less skills used.

Only things that goes for Elementist is I find mine more fun to play.

SPvP, well it’s a bit different here. But I won’t start anything on this.

Dungeons….need I said anything, for real? I have been in about 15+ party consisting of Guardians & Warriors exclusively, is all I’m going to say.

Time = IMPORTANT
Time = Gold, Exp, Loot, ect, ect.

If a class take more time doing something another class can do in much less time then yeah it’s a balance issues and not a player issues.

Especially when are talking of trash mobs that one class faceroll in 2 sec while the other take nearly 20 sec to kill if not more sometime.

And yeah it does depends on the type of mobs and all but overall regardless of the mobs the Warrior always win time wise versus my Elementist.

Lightning Whip

Lightning Whip (Elementist, Main Hand, Dagger Skill Slot 1) can’t hit game object half the time, you always have to reposition yourself and even so most of the time you get “miss” even though you are right in front of the object.

This doesn’t seem to happen while attacking.

Also, Lightning Whip should Hit monsters in front of you since it basically pass through them, much like Vapor Blade in the Water Attunement which hit all the monsters it pass through.

Movement Speed Bugs

I would really like to know about this too.

I hope it get fixed otherwise all the traits giving movements speed are useless … Which would defeat the purpose of having any in the first places.

This need to be fixed.

Hello,

Yesterday, me and my brother were comparing Achievement Points and we noticed that Daily Achievements seems to provide infinite amounts of Achievement Points.

That is to say that completing the same achievement 2 days in a row provide us with 9 Achievement Points Daily.

Technically speaking, this seem to be a bug because the same Achievement shouldn’t provide Points everyday only ‘new’ ones you haven’t completed yet, otherwise this create an infinite pool of Achievement Points.

In a year, if someone did their daily everyday they would have 3285 Achievement Points, this without even doing anything else.

The reason I’m posting this is because usually Achievement Points are used as a mean to see how much progress I have done, or for that matter that anyone has done.

Not to mention forcing players to play daily to max their Achievements Points is sad in itself

I hope this is a bug and was not intended has such, to me it feel it defeat the purpose of having Achievement in the first places.
