Ok so for the sense of closure the purpotraitor was found guilty and suspended, I got nothing out of it, but we can at least hope he won’t do it again, or will be terminated if he will.
Thank you all for your support, advice and sizeable donation.
Mkay, posted, thanks! If he gets a week to a month ban, he can still practically say “so worth it”. He behaved in such an arogant manner it disgusts me now.
Thing is, the “report this player for scamming” option does not feature much in a way of adding screenshots and/or comments.
For me it’s simillar to the usual runner, first time you level as a new player, you get to see new stuff, meet new friends wow at how everything is so cool and well designed and interesting, oh my god is that a dragon? Wow we just killed a dragon, yeah that was awesome man!
It gets less and less awesome everytime you do it all over so by your character number 4 you just want it to be over, soon. It becomes a neccessary grind that fortunately in GW2 can be avoided by investing into crafting professions and using the birthday lvl 20 scroll and books for +1s.
Sure some people wanna hang and enjoy the location, but the thrill is mostly gone. =’(
Come on, show yourself, I know that there can’t be many of you on the dead server! :-D
Ok I have news everyone, please advise me on next course of action.
The player through some miracle came online today, after a bit of friendly chit chat I got him to acknowledge and admit that he owes me the money, he then told me that he no longer has the money he owes me and did not return it because we did not meet online since then and it felt weird to him to just send it back through mail, even though he received it the same way.
After I asked him to please work out a way to return it, he told me to “**** off” and blocked me. I have the entire conversation screened and it is fresh in the logs.
I suspect he actually does have the gold and just does not feel like returning it.
Are these sufficient grounds for scamming report?

excuse my lack of knowledge, are you referring to a shout healing support warrior? I recently level one up and I do enjoy the gameplay to a certain extent.
While I am not attacking him personally by stating he owes me money I will retract the name. However thanks to posting it I made reasonable progress provided nakatsu Hime’s reply, I managed to pinpoint the only greek person on my skype that has a simillar name and it only reinforces my believe that it is the contact he has given me, so yey! Hopes are high… :-D
Gotta love people who reinforce national stereotypes.

Thank you all for your experience and information.
I see that no good deed goes unpunished and that in fact I have close to no means of getting my money back.
I guess I will just hope that maybe one day the anonymous person behind the character comes to conclussion that I might miss my money and that stealing is not cool.

Hello fellow players I find myself in a troublesome situation in which I loaned in-game gold to a former guild mate with him promising to return it even with some interest if his venture goes well in two to three months, this was forever (over an year) ago but I still did not receive the money back, it was 250 Gold and as not much of a hardcore player I miss that gold quite a lot. By now I suppose the person will not willingly pay back, since he/she did not do it this far and might not even be actively playing the game by now. I have the player added in my friendlist and can produce his contact name.
Do you have any past experience with this sort of issue?
Which course of action would you recommend?
Can customer support amend this?
Any useful input appreciated thank you very much.
