Guild Wars 2

I find HoT mediocre. The map graphics look stunning but the game play has changed. I have been playing GW1 and GW2 for over 10 years. If this was how the game was from the beginning I would probably have stopped playing long ago. I find the central focus of the game has become grinding out one thing or another. Either legendries or other skins. People rush from one meta event to another and that’s it. You ask people if they are having fun on the metas and they tell you it is more like work. The atmosphere of the game has changed because of this. I don’t know if it is my imagination but it seems since HoT, the community has become less helpful and friendly. The focus is so much on the grind that I think people that just enjoyed playing the game have left. It also seems like the audience is getting younger. Probably after I finish playing the HoT story line I will take a hiatus for a while too.

I have been having a lot of problems with the Heart of Mind Story. It could just be my total lack of gaming skill but when I fight the final boss I have problems opening the glider and taking to the air. I jump and it only opens occasionally. By opening occasionally I have progressed to the third time you are suppose to take to flight but whenever you can’t fly there is a good chance you die and need to restart the fight again. I have restarted the third flight 3 times now and sometimes I take off and get knocked down others times I get air born but come down and cannot take off again and the last time I just couldn’t even get off the ground. This is very frustrating since failure means restarting the fight. I have been in the mission for over 4 hours now and trying to decide if I should just call it quits or try again. I read some old forum post where people were complaining about the gliding in this mission but that was 2 months ago and nothing recent. I assumed that bug was fixed so this is probably my incompetence. Any tips?
