I am having this same issue. I also tried everything mentioned and more. I very much need this resolved as this is not my legendary but one for the community and I am on a time crunch please Thank you for your time arenanet.

I understand this thread however there are a couple of incorrect assumptions by the general public in assuming we do not have WvW guilds on Kaineng. We have a few smaller guilds collaborating and some very large guild in WvW. We are just plain outnumbered. period. Last night NUKE and LaZy teamed up for a match to get our server a bit more united and to work together more, and we learned a lot about defending, working together as a team, and other various things. The main thing I learned though? no matter how much siege equipment we put up and no matter how smoothly we worked as a team, it didn’t matter when we made our last stand at sheradon and held on with our teeth as that last spot was taken from us. It was heartbreaking in one respect however we united under one front and stood up against the tyranny of shear numbers. This is what makes us Kaineng. I hope arenanet or the players can fix this and help us a bit. We have the potential to be great and work together in a united front. Hopefully we get the numbers to back that up. I personally don’t like to be in a mindless zerg and defense tactics was one of the things that originally drew me to WvWvW and ultimately Gw2.
This being said PvP is not the only problem on Kaineng, PvE suffers as well. A lot of times I have to transfer to a higher pop world just to get access to dungeons because of not having enough people in cursed shores and higher level areas in order to clear the prerequisite events.
If you are interested in helping present a united front for Kaineng I ask politely that you join http://www.kainengunited.com/ so we can work together in a more efficient manner.

I have never really experimented much with screenshots, but I really love the art in guild wars 2 and thought I would give it a shot.

love it:) especially the random rockets being shot at you that made me laugh.

1. Be sure you are at or above suggested level for the story quest
2. kiting is your friend, especially when boosted by air traits and utility skills. Also air attunement and the heal that gives effects will give swiftness as well, just make sure you don’t accidently leash the mob, keep it in the top of your screen basically.
3. Traps are very handy in tight spots remember your elements. Earth has some good cripples and conditions as well as air.
4. Research your traits and adjust to your playstyle
5 If you still have trouble stack toughness and vitality.

Elementalist doesn’t have to be hard to play and we don’t have to be glass cannons I think what people tend to miss is the fact that the game is different and relies on paying attention to everything that is going on and knowing your classes well. This will come with time and practice. I know I have been frustrated many times but I did some research and came up with what worked for me. Good luck and happy gaming

experimenting with editing I love my elementalist

I chose to live my guild wars 2 life out as a human noble elementalist who didn’t get to join the circus. I later set out to the larger picture and went on to save the quaggan while working with the dormand priory. It definetly made for an interesting storyline.
My next project is a human mesmer street rat who never knew her parents and from reading everyone’s tales I am sure it will turn out to be very interesting:)
