Glad I didn’t preorder the expansion.
If I were a betting person, I’d say yes. No matter what skill or profession is broken, better nerf mesmer!
Don’t worry, Anet will just nerf mesmer again.
I love how anet just went and nerfed mesmer instead of maybe reworking the necro trait which was the real problem, but that would actually require actual coding skills.
Anet doesn’t fix mesmer bugs in patches. They only nerf mesmers further.
I hope they take the person who thought of this and nerf his/her payday to a ten week cooldown.
Between this and The Dreamer, the unicorn is going to become the anet mascot.
For the love of Lyssa, no more mesmer nerfs, PLEASE!
I actually like this trait and am scared to death that anet will nerf anything I like about mesmer.
I find it funny that out of all things that were OP in the entire patch, a conditional bleed that people hardly ever stack on one of the least played professions was such a huge problem it had to be nerfed within hours. Nice job, Anet. /sarcasm
Phantasms are also a main source of sustained dps which mesmers generally aren’t good at without them. Using up the adrenaline or life force doesn’t slash a necro or warrior’s dps nearly as much as a mesmer would. Warriors and necros are going to attack anyway to build up their meters, it’s not quite the same investment as a mesmer where you’d have to dance around for quite a bit just to get out three phantasms. Warriors and necros just keep rolling their damage cycles and it’s “Oh look, my bar is full.” and it ends up just being icing on the cake for them.
It just seems like people who who play other professions and got killed by a mesmer in pvp come over here and advocate for nerfs.
Sell junk at the vendor doesn’t get rid of mesmer traits nerfed into uselessness.
While I am appreciative that Josh Davis actually showed up and said something, I really don’t understand most of the mesmer nerfs. I’m concerned that the formula for condition damage wasn’t hit first before individual class nerfs and I feel like mesmer is singled out often and quickly. I’m not sure why MtD is such an issue as even with the patch I have never seen torment even hit 25 stacks, not even on a world boss. In addition, it does not seem that torment’s damage formula was boosted at all either. On top of all this, the projection for damage is still quite optimistic because you’re assuming the mesmer will be in proximity of the target and they have three illusions and all three will actually hit upon shatter.
I’m glad I didn’t preorder the expansion yet.
I think I found a bug. Hitting sell junk at the vendor doesn’t get rid of the nerfed version of this skill.
It is not exaggerated and you can witness it by yourself by watching the repeat broadcast of the said event. And obviously they weren’t EQUALLY skilled opponents since ROM is amongst the best warriors (if not the best)…
(and obviously, again, he didn’t kill all of his oponents by himself, but he did hold three of them off longer than anyone could have done, and didn’t even die in the end)You said “it’s not exaggerated” then you go on to change what was previously stated. The previous person said he “soloed 3 people”. Apparently now it’s just “held off” until help arrived. I was correct in saying the story was exaggerated.
Again, like I said. A warrior will never be able to take on 2 or more equally skilled opponents.
Evil Sardine is the king of exaggeration and thinks he is the entire team in eotm. He gets all salty when he dies and claims one player killed the entire team.
Or, you know, you could actually try playing this (quite profitable) map properly and contributing to its success rather than attempting to ruin it again.
Play it “properly”? Get off your high horse. The way you play it is not any more “proper” than the way anyone else chooses to play it. How was the map ruined? Now there’s no one defending amber. Let’s all go gawk at amber covered in vines.
Anet’s cashflow is spawning too fast and too numerously. Better nerf it by not buying gems.
