The recipe
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Box_of_Recipes:_Howl_ lists three professions, which to me seems as you can craft the ingredients on any of the three (like with inscriptions).
But when you learn it as anything that is not a huntsman, well, you are out of luck, because only thing that you could craft is the Legendary inscription. I have learned the recipe on the artificer, which was presumably silly of me – but I kind of hope that the game will tell me which crafting disciplines are applicable to the recipe and I would not have to verify those things in wikis and forums.
Now my artificer can craft a legendary inscription and nothing else. I have another character that is a huntsman, and if I would’ve known that the recipe is actually legit for huntsmen only, I would’ve learned it on her. The idea of leveling my artificer as a huntsman does not sound appealing – I would’ve done it if it was my fault, but I don’t see how following in-game instructions is my fault.
I would really appreciate if this bug gets resolved – I can repeat the achievement, or, if possible, just an ‘unlearned’ recipe back in the inventory so that I can give it to the huntsman would be incredible.

I second that. I have GW2 already, why should I pay for it again?
As a returning player, season 1 is an abject failure. Unless there is a way to catch people up to things that have happened, the story becomes white noise. “What’s going on? Who are these npcs? Are they important?” I missed season one so all I have to show for it is a messed up world and a season 2 story that I couldn’t care less about since I have zero context for it. Removing story from a persistent game is BAD. There are no ways around it. People take breaks, new players join all the time. Having them be completely out of the loop for the story and uninvested in the lore is unacceptable.
I agree. I myself started close to the end of season 1 and was trying to figure out who are those people that call themselves my allies. Wiki helps. Trying to find it out in game does not. I would love to have an opportunity to be able to replay season 1, the same way they did season 2, simply to experience on my own what actually happened back then.
As for Orr, I think this is a double edged sword. While I initially liked the solution of showing a different version of Orr to those that completed a personal story, I think it also means splitting the player base apart. For example, if someone is satisfied with going through a story just once, and all their alts will be stuck in old Orr, and it feels like an extra constraint on the players, forcing them to play the story to get access to new content.
What I think might work is tying the personal story to the actual timeline of the world. So, when you go through the story, at the start of the instance you see a message saying what month and year it is in Tyria. This offers a bit cleaner solution because that way the characters that were physically rolled in recently don’t have to kill Zhaitan after they woke up Mordremoth. Meanwhile, the world proceeds at its own path, and changes happen without affecting the personal story. For Orr, if it turns one day into a blossoming land, we can still keep the story entrances in fort Trinity, which is very unlikely to change in appearance.
Absolutely awesome. I really like the animation, that has completely sold me on it.
One thing I would really love to have one day (and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one wishing for this) is to have dyeable weapons
I was excited to hear about the expansion but it’s been a while now. Also, I have a feeling that by the time it gets released I will know absolutely everything there is to it. This is even more so true because every bit of information gets repeated at least twice That said, I always have an option to stop following the news and wait for the release in perfect ignorance Thing is, this is of course not what I want to do.
My ideal expansion release time is short enough so that I’m still excited about it after the initial announcement, and even though after passionately digging for information I know a lot to plan ahead, some of the expansion’s components are still a mystery to me. So far, it seems it will take at the absolute least a couple more months, and by the release time the only unknown would be full landscape layout because you’ll need jumping / gliding / etc mastery to get into some areas.
I agree. Get five people with super minis standing relatively near you, and the sounds from those minis will get super annoying since you hear them non-stop. I would not mind it perhaps if it was less frequent. But then, as a new option to get a particular mini is added, people tend to get this mini and equip it, which is rather well expected. So, during the Wintersday you have hundred hoho-trons jingling around you, and making each one to make a sound once a minute would not actually solve the problem.
I’d really love the option that would disable the sounds of all minis but mine. Disabling effect sounds works as a temporary solution, but I actually like skill sounds and the game feels really empty without them.
