I’d love figurines of characters. I was personally a big fan of Destiny’s Edge (1.0 and 2.0) and all of the Order mentors. Maybe some other big names like Scarlet and Trahearne?
But what I want more than anything might be even easier to pull off: I want a toy golem! Bonus points if it lights up!
Also, I know some people suggested the idea of codes attached to items. That might be interesting, but I worry a lot of people might get frustrated with it if they’re random-draws or particularly exciting items tied to expensive merch.
It’s dastardly, yes, but it’s a good business strategy. It encourages the “buy now” mentality, creates a sort of artificial scarcity, so to speak.
That’s not to say it’s convenient for the consumer, but I understand why they do it.
Agreed that a guild-searching tool would be a fantastic addition. The activity of members sounds more to me like an issue with the guilds you’re joining, but I think that could be heavily remedied by the addition of a searchable database.
It would be easy to specify what your guild does in an accessible place, in addition you could talk about whether or not being active in guild chat is encouraged, etc. (Some guilds who don’t talk much might be better for shy people, or those without a lot of time to commit.)
Guild messages have been improved but I would like to see more features added to it to make it easier to broadcast events and such. Maybe a “guild schedule” tab could be added?
As for the guild missions, I agree that they’re very simple, but I like the system and think that Anet should continue to pursue creating more diversity within it.
I dunno, as someone who was always excited for Guild Wars’ living updates, I actually was sold on the idea that we would be getting more content updates relevant to the expansion, i.e. raids and legendaries spread out over time. I did not expect it to ship with everything, and as long as they didn’t try to sneak extra cost into it I wasn’t going to have a problem with that.
I was disappointed with the fact that they didn’t handle the story by time gates, actually. As someone who tried to take their time with the story content, I still felt like it was far too rushed. Granted, I’m saying this with a certain degree of naiivete, assuming that an episodic schedule similar to Living World would give them more time to lengthen the story.
I would be willing to spend money on new emotes. The “how to dance” book was fantastic, but I would like to see more things we can do.
I’m fairly certain this might be a little unrealistic for a game like this but I would enjoy interactions to make with other players like a /hug or /slap
I do hope that when they release new guild halls in the future, they create a difficulty level system for the building within. I like the idea of smaller spaces with limitations to allow for a more affordable experience for guilds with a very small number of active players.
I’m willing to give them some slack on this, though, crafting the maps and progression systems must take quite a lot of resources in itself. I think the system they’ve got going is great, and just needs to be improved over time as they add onto it.
Having the same issue myself. Sometimes I can get into maps, if I’m lucky, but if I go to another or waypoint I risk losing connection again.
Update; We solved the problem by guesting on another server. The problem may just exist in Darkhaven.
-Server: Darkhaven
Quest Status: Brought the mirror to Trahearne without getting aid from the Asura. Party consists of two characters, both Sylvari.
When we try to enter the quest, (in the area with the Pale Tree) Carys can be heard talking by the mirror, but the conversation with Trahearne does not trigger, making it impossible to progress.
When the quest is entered alone, the conversation triggers, but if a party member is invited, nothing will happen. We really want to participate in the quest together, rather than taking the option of the quest-holder doing it alone.
Has anyone else run into this bug, or found a way around it?
This bug is still present, I’ve been trying to join my friend on this quest for the last few minutes to no avail. The conversation triggers if they enter alone, but if others are invited nothing happens when we approach Trahearne.
