Hey everyone,
Just wanted to ask if there exists some kind of a list of changes/updates since September/October till now. I haven’t been able to play the game since then, so I would like to see what’s changed.
Thanks.
As long as players give them money why should they care?
If you went wow why do you care anyway?
This works for me: select player you wish to invite (left click), next do invite.
Yes, selecting a player is working, I figured that as well. However I still think it fits Bugs forum as the code error obviously shouldnt happen.
Yesterday I tried to just walk to the place I needed. I got lots of experience and about 20 silver. I think its there to motivate exploring and helping others with events. No other reason that I can see..
u mad about a game.
Do the cheaper, lower level ones have value for transmutation? You can just swap the look onto another piece of gear still, right?
If you’re going to transmute, no sense spending the extra tokens on the level 80 versions.
Im not sure, but I think you cant transmute different types. Say, if I want medium armor set looks, I cant make heavy stats out of it, and all the heavy ones for humans I really dont like, but I do like the looks of medium ones of 45 and 55. As he said above, there is no point in getting them, except for looks and maybe use on another characters.
what do you want? lvl 35 Gear that you would drop in the first chance.. or lvl 80 gear that you would use forever?
So, basically what I said is correct and there is no point in trying to get them (sets below 80)?
If, for example, I go into CM dungeon I get 60 tokens per run, which is about 30min-1 hour long, and a complete armor set for level 45 cost, what, about ~800-1000 tokens (correct if Im wrong)? So by the time I get enough tokens isnt the set already below my level (doesnt protect me properly)?
How does that work exactly?
If you think that PvE is too easy, make it level 40 and go to CM dungeon. You will be down many times, I promise
But doing the story line with recommended level is kinda easy, I agree.
Here’s a thought: If you are too casual to keep up with any particular game, why don’t you go find a more casual game and stop trying to make all of the hardcore games less hardcore?
Less people buy and play the game is a bad idea. And yes, the majority are not junkies playing 40 hours a week, sorry.
He wants what the hardcore player wants – to be a worthwhile.
Im not sure how casual players are defined, but I may be in that category. I guess I would define casual players who dont play that much and dont know every detail about a game. There was a post “I dont wanna be your hero” where someone basically said he wants to live in this game and be able to do a lot of different things. Imo thats what definitely casual is not..
Now, I think the key thing that makes casual players (like me) play a game is really design and how it looks and feels, not some mechanic details or leveling or any of that. I, for example, never really understood all the details about Diablo 2 leveling system, all skills and how they work, but I played the game a lot and loved it. The addictive part about it is design, visual style, and music style, not classes or skills or any of that. The same with Need for Speed most wanted or underground. After this game there were others like Shift, etc. But the new developers never understood what made the previous games so awesome. There wasnt this unique addictive design and this special look and feel about it. I think GW2 has a very good design (although I dont really like the music, no matter how precious outside the game it may seem, it just doesnt fit GW2 imo) and the game has lots of potential and room for improving for both hardcore and casual players.
If you ask me why I play this game.. well, its just a lot of fun. I dont have any goals to get some exact stats or something, although if you show me some nice armor I would probably go get it, but if I didnt, I wouldnt make a big deal out of it.

I dont think anyone can get banned if there is not enough evidence, else it will be resolved through support system. Or you really think Anet are some kind of monsters that want to ban legit players to hurt them or something? lol No need for emotions here.
It should never get to the point where it has to be resolved through support.
An innocent should never lose their access to the game they’ve paid for due to laziness on the part of developers.
No one says it should. But bad things happens, you know

Imo, your example is more command & conquer kinda music.
If I were to choose and it was possible, i would just replace the whole music in GW2 with Diablo 2 soundtrack.
I see many people complain about “i can outrun a centaur” thing. While these are not annoying to me, the music is really depressing. I had a strange feeling about the game and I really couldnt play more than 2-3 hours. Then I turned the music down, setup custom playlist in the background, and it really changed the whole thing!
I was wondering whether there are any plans for replacing the music, is Anet really satisfied with it? Or I can just forget about it and never try to turn it on?
I dont dislike these “i can outrun a centaur”, its kinda ok. But the music is really depressing.
I think playing the game would actually satisfy everyone, as opposed to wondering about it..
Hi there, I’m not sure what you mean by that, sorry. Can you explain?
What you said:
When a bunch of kids complain on these forums about pvp and OP builds, and state things like "this game is dead
That is true. Some of them say it like that, but its not necessarily implies the conclusions you made. The game got me not by commercial or nice stories and comments about it. I watched the gameplay, and I thought its a nice game. But the whole awesome part really came about when I actually played it. Now, while some players may feel bad about those comments on the forum, they have kind of solution to solve the whole “dying” part “problem” with their precious mmo (it really is precious for me too, btw ) by doing this “invite-3-friends” thing. So, in the end, you will actually see sales growing, not droping.
That being said, I really dont like when people are discussing and wondering about lies a bunch of kids state. This forum is about GW2 discussion, not a psychology nor marketing forum.

I felt the same way. I figured that actual problem was the music. I turned it down, found some long trance mixes, and the feeling went away.
You guys really need to make the in-game music a lot better. It just destroys the whole awesomeness of this game. I mean, its so huge, so beautiful, lots of variance, and there is just that one little thing..
I think its not really that bad that the game runs pretty decent (35-60 fps, 45-50 most of the time) even on a q6600 with a hd 6770 radeon card. If they would make the game more gpu intense I really doubt my desktop would be able to run it anymore.

Full means account registered on that server. It won’t guarantee that the map you currently are in will be full of people. most people are hangin in Orr, LA, dragon bosses and outside dungeons. Which I also think is sad because I would love to see more people doing the DEs elsewhere than Orr.
None of what you said is true.
code is: 10:1001:8008:651:101
happens when i click “invite” option in “party” UI.
It says that im unable to use party interface and thats its due to firewall, but i dont have any, and the windows standard firewall is off. No extra security sotfware. A clean windows install only for games. I have steam, and a couple of other games and nothing else.
System is windows 7.
Can anyone help?
You have to stop reacting on this absurd.
If you see a great game, you love playing it, you see that many servers full and high, and all of a sudden some guy on forum says that its dying.. I mean, then just dont react. Your reacting just produces more flame and makes more and more people wonder about state of the game, while its clear that its an awesome game, full with people, and its just getting started.
