why isnt condi damage being balanced
all i see is nothing but full teams of condi builds
condi eles condi necros condi warriors condi mesmers condi engineers
this new meta is broken beyond comparison due to the nature of conditions not being weakened by armor and before someone says well why dont you run some cleanse noobunlike cleanse conditions can be reaplied way quickly and all it takes is to focus one player with your group and move to the next target once said target has over 8 conditions with tons of stacks
it was a horrible mistake to implement the new condition system on pvp in the first place as it was designed to be used against world bosses
Im sorry but i care to little to actully read every post so dont know IF anyone ssid this earlier. But did you just say “all it takes is to focus one player with your group”? IF you did say that i think you’re very stupid since that works with any kind of build.
They could make a mm like wows dungeons? You can chose between three or maybe four specs? Tank , support, dps or mobillity class and queue a match and so there will not be 2 or Møre of the same spec in the same team
I play engineer and theif mostly. While i think burning is strong i dont think they should nerf it. And IF they do i hope its not that much, because of 1 engi and guards are not immune to burning…they have to deal with it as much as everyone else. 2 i find burn guards extremly easy to kill. You just clense that one kondition they have. 3 any decent necro or confusion theif or mesmer can kill a condi engi without trouble. I dont understand how people can use metabuilds and cry for nerfs at the same time. Look at engi condi meta build…. Firearms…inventions….explosives. Well IF you spec squishy you will die often stop crying.
Good thing I’ve got the tankiest effective Thief build possible.
Tankiest as in armor, HP or condition clense? Since all conditions ignore armor, Raw HP and condi clense is your only option
Healing, armor, evades, team support and non stealth condition removal. Raw HP only helps burst builds survive other burst builds.
I can say right away that face tanking conditions is not a good idea…not a good idea for any class exept maybe ele or necros haha. Im sorry that you can take a burst class and make him a tank.

Is there any reason why to chose “Tools – inventions – Firearms” for engineer instead of “Alchemy – inventions – firearms” I saw that in one of Wolfineer build’s he used Tools and then later on he had alchemy instead..and alchemy seems superior actully. Just asking what you guys think (running p/p condi engineer spvp mostly since wvw is just boring)

Yeh timber is nice. I medan strictly for pvp now and not pve. And condi is super strong in pvp for my engi. Everything exept necro with plague signet melts in 2 seconds
Is it just me or is “Adaptive armor” a pure rip off of dota 2’s timbersaws abillity “Reactive armor”? It does exactly the same and even have almost the same name..(when the hero " timbersaw)" get struck he gains x amount of stacking armor per attack. And also do you guys think the old condi and cele builds will still be viable in HoT in pvp compared to other specs/classes?
i think i have 50-65% win ratio in solo queue, both ranked and unranked.
the two ONLY things did i have very little no no chance in killing in both wvw, and spvp is necromancer with plague signet, and a mesmer with confusion build, since i always have to swap kits etc, and necro’s because they send back 7 stacks of confusion and 6 stacks of burning, poison, bleeds, and vulnerability (which i cant cleanse effectivly). Everything else just melts in about 5 seconds. Any theif will almost always get one hit if you get a crit with any skill. I play 3 kit condi engineer.

How do you even manage to take 50 attacks from only burning, and one other condition? Learn how to play anything but zerk and you’ll be fine mate, or dodge more

How would it be different? Rangers trade condi removal for damage..same as every other class in the game right now and condi is doing great..
And no you really dont need 97% crit chance…thats waste of skill point i would say. With 47% base and you throw one nade and one of those WILL crit no matter what, just such a waste
Invention’s, Alchemy, and firearms, P/P all the way, only class you cant instant kitten is necromancer with plague signet (instant 6 stacks of burning and 7 confusion on any target)
Yeh thanks for all your answers guys, you have been awesome. I tried out the rocket boots. i’ve only played with elixir gun since the start of my engineer. Have to say i got mind kittened and couldnt use it proparly, even failed to just run to one place to another by trying to activate egun for haste haha
I want to add, that i mostly use elixir gun for the stun break, and the extra posion duration and leap
Hi all. Yeh like the topics name. Which one would you prefare over the other? Mostly in wvw/spvp. Zerg or Roam dosnt matter. And why? (lower cd etc)

That will end up depending how the condition change ends up. We have a bunch of abilities that apply short conditions but over several ticks. Something like Poison-Dart Volley alone can already hit the 5x Cap.
Meaning any other poison applications by you or your allies will not go untill the first application falls off.It will probably be a lot harder to tag targets in zerg on zerg, small scale fighting it shouldnt be a huge deal. But without proper visual feedback you can very well end up wasting a long-cooldown condition ability (or several if its something you had to setup) when the target was already saturated.
All in all i find it a dumb change, that will have a negative impact on conditions specs in general. But it will probably hurt a lot more in PvE, where conditions are already getting capped pretty hard without this change making it worst.
ah because im leveling a engineer right now. Im sorry but i cant find the urge to play him anymore since i was going to play condi engineer. Im more into roaming in wvw tho maybe it wont be affected that much? Or maybe i should just reroll or get another build, that is the question for me right now
