Well shooting Zhaitan with cannon, good introduction to the fight, not the fight, that’s not awesome ><
Well i don’t know, i think that fixing the ending(i don’t really know anyone that really was pleased with how Zhaitan died) and well, i think this should be the lore or something like this making the final death of Zhaitan truly epic.
What ya mean no the best place for this?

Also i posted this in Lore, but i believe it applies equally to here. A large part of the problem with the story is lack of personal connection with the story. This i believe helps fix that.

Ok, first off, storyline. I am in Teamspeak talking to guildies and we all agree. One thing would have made the final mission absolutely the best mission ever. I’m going to re-write this as a fanfiction because the characters enterplay has so much potential here.
After Zhaitan fell, you descended through the clouds through mists and into the gaping hole Zhaitan fell into. Inside here, the true final expected fight happens. Destinies Edge stands over a gaping chasm along side the group of companions that progressed through the dungeon. It is now Destiny’s Edge and the players versus the wounded Zhaitan. Because of his wounds, he is now weakened and vulnerable to be killed.
The final arena to fight Zhaitan commences when he rises back through the crater he created in his descent. Zhaitan clings to the walls and stays to the center of the chamber while the combatants must move along the ledges and cracks in the walls to fight him. Tunnels in the walls also create avenues to reach alternative ledges or routes. Different vertical levels are a must. Zhaitan has multiple heads, multiple everything. He can attach high and low, far and wide. Positioning vertically is just as important this fight as horizontally.
Through the damage dealt, body parts begin to fall off. Zhaitan in his panic, claws away at the walls frantically at his aggressors. After focusing one spot, he launches his claws into a wall but gets stuck. While stuck the party begins wailing on him while avoiding his breath attacks. After enough punishment, Zhaitan’s main head blasts into the rock infront of him and breaks loose. But it is here that Zojja’s golem lifts Logan into the air and throws him at Zhaitan. Eir lets loose arrows at Zhaitan’s eyes to blind him and Logan slams his hammer as hard as possible into Zhaitan. Zhaitan fumbles through the hole he just created into a new underground chamber.
This chamber is a secret underground cemetery for Arah’s nobles so that in the death of a noble, his body will remain separated from the unclean commoners above. The chamber is massive and the corpses are littered across the ground from the wall. Mausoleums scatter the cavern and many graves stick out from the walls. This is the last stand for Zhaitan.
Here is where Destiny’s Edge and the heroes face off against Zhaitan, in a graveyard full of some of the most powerful humans that lived in Arah and near countless supply for Zhaitan. Zhaitan, severely weakened at this point begins to utilize the corpses. He has been reduced from all of his smaller heads to just one head. His wings are clipped except for one torn boney limb reaching from his right shoulder and he’s reduced to only two tails. He is dripping glowing, bubbling green blood from multiple gashes and wounds.
Through the underground graveyard full of tombstones and mausoleums, the players fight and fight. Zhaitan though, too weakened, cannot stand up to their might. It is here that he is crushed down in front of the mausoleum of the first king of Arah. Rytlock had positioned himself upon the structure and stood overlooking the vulnerable chest of Zhaitan. Caithe saw this and thrusts her hands into the ground not far from where Zhaitan lay. Roots burst forth all around Zhaitan and rooted his shaking and bleeding arms to the ground. Strength fading from Zhaitan, he watches as Rytlock leaps with his sword high. The grip in both of his hands and blade pointed directly towards Zhaitan’s exposed, bleeding, aching and beating heart, he descends with the air around him bursting into a bright white and orange fkittenohothin roars with flaming power. The cavern shakes and the air wails along with Zhaitan as the dragon of death finally feels the taste of sweet death embracing him as his body becomes alight with fire, spreading through his veins as Rytlock pours fourth his energy through his sword into the heart of Zhaitan.
It is here that the now corpse of Zhaitan burns into ashes that spreads to rest along ground around the cemetery. The entire area is coated in the ash of the elder dragon. Destiny’s Edge and the party struggle to see until it settles. They are all coated in the ashes, but they all are content. The battle has now finally been one against Zhaitan. The elder dragon is dead.
This i think would make for an ending that would require fans to need a change of pants. It also still allows for Zhaitan to be slain by a notable permanent character from Guild Wars2 to avoid the “killed by unnamed champion of Tyria”.
Also, how they discover it. Eir believes they should investigate the corpse. Everyone protests that she’s dead, but she convinces Destiny’s Edge to check out the remains, the heroes accompany. Trahern does not have any involvement in this fight.

Well how I feel about it, I’d rather lose a 3vs5 than know someone on the other team got a loss simply because some doughbag left. I mean it sucks for our team, but their team was winning.
I mean seriously, just wanted to say kudos, was really epic missions and really absorbing into the story. And the thing about Caithe, was a bit surprising, haha, there’s gonna be a lot of fanart and fanfiction about that… but no spoilers ha
Yeah they need to fix team balancing, because lately about every one out of ten games, I lose simply because, I get switched over to the losing team in the last few minutes
It doesn’t matter, a lot of people boosted to get pvp ranks up, so it doesn’t even matter now
Destroy their trebuchet immediately, and don’t let them have it
How is it fair to take someone, who’s fought all much and helped a team win, to get switched over and lose because some douchbags quit? I mean shouldn’t they get penalized, not someone else? Because its not fun, its not fair, nothing about it is a good idea. Yes its unfair that one team has more people, but its less fair to make someone fight all game, winning, then give them a loss
Well honestly I really want it fixed because I want to make a beast master build for pvp, but until it is, its impossible
I posted something too because, with me being Ranger only just about, its frustrating me sometimes that my pet does not do what I tell it to do and it ends up making me die.
I have tried to go beastmaster routes with traits and skills, but as it is, it always fails due to the bugs with pets.
The F2 ability doesn’t work half the time. I mean I have to hold it, mash it, hit it with a hammer, hit it a million times, and then it won’t work, and sometimes it’ll just go on cool down, and then sometimes it works. Because of F2 not working appropriately, you cannot make a viable Ranger build in pvp incorperating pets, and even in pve it is very difficult. Please fix this soon. It was my understanding that hitting F2 was supposed to que up the pet’s next action to be his F2 ability.
The targeting is sometimes bugged, especially with flying pets, but I will hit F1(normally in a fight) and he will not go to attack a target or he will just keep attacking the target he’s on.
This isn’t a bug, a lot more of an annoyance, but can players prioritize other players when rezzing, or remove the quick F command to rez pets and have to click them and target them to rez them? There have been many times I meant to quickly rez a teammate up, but couldn’t cause pet was in the way, and we both ended up dying because of the time it took to deal with my stupid pet in the way while I could have saved him and we were both fighting and surviving.
If these three things could get fixed, then Ranger Beastmaster build would be viable and I think seen in competitive play.
Yes I’d agree, being able to remove it is something you should have, and surprising if its not there, its just another simple option to help customers stay safe, I personally don’t choose to keep information on any site after use.
Criddifer thank you for helping but I foudn it, and my point is, its so random from where the location is and there’s no hint or any inkling of coherent thought that will make you go there to get into the cave. It has been the first truly terrible moment of game design I’ve encountered, now that is saying it took 50% of the map to get ot that, it was still the first time I wasn’t having a great time at this game.
Healerith, yes and that’s the problem, I think, besides the bug, people should not have to rely on the internet to get to an area that’s a part of map completion. Now, if it was a secret area not on the map, then yes! it deserves to be that lucky oh wtf is this! this is awesome!
So, there is a problem here. The main problem isn’t the bug, there is one, but whoever made the Dissun Mines and put the entrance so remote from it and where the onyl way you’d find is to stumble upon it and you can’t find it yourself because the only entrance has no freaking correlation to where it is, you have to search EVERYWHERE along the walls lining the southwest of the Dredgehaunt Cliffs. The entrance makes no sense and does not follow any line of reason and is not challenging, it just rewards either asking for help or pure luck. I had to ask for help. No one can find this without either of those options.
So in my long trek to finding it, I climbed the mountain and eventually got ontop. You can get ontop of the Dissun Mines. I spent half an hour trying to get into the mines by getting up here, and exploring the, well, not quite done, roof. I was able to explore and see the mines through invisible ceilings, and there were many places you could fall, but you couldn’t get out of. I had to use a good bit of change to just get back onto the map each time. But if players aren’t supposed to be up there, shouldn’t we not be able to get up there?
But seriously, I have enjoyed this game 100% all the time, and this has been my first truly upset moment, and the bug made me upset, but more so the fact that if the entrance wasn’t placed in an incredibly thoughtless manner, then no one would have had to try and follow the path that’s there up the cliff to explore the top of the mine that we’re not supposed to be on top of.
i just, i know why they ended the final dungeon how they did… and i can’t blame them for not doing more, but still there has to be more ><
