Well….I have to pay in USD even though I live in Canada, so the extreme pack cost me $135 CAD. But you know what? I sucked it up and didn’t b**** and complain about it. And I work hard for my money. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. And if you want it, pay the price they are offering and deal with it. Easy as that.
I think patching shadow step is fine. I play thief, and I don’t need to ss to the top of buildings that are off limits to the other classes. At the same time, to everyone complaining about thieves having op stealth….ranger 2 can burst you to down state while you are invisible, guardians, mesmers, and necros can force you out of shadow refuge early to make you visible and unable to to stealth again for a few seconds. On top of that, every single class can spam damage on you while in shadow refuge. So invisibility isn’t something to complain about when it comes to thieves, especially when Mesmers have just as much invisibility. Thieves have the hardest time surviving in the game out of all classes, so if you complain about them having some invisibility, you just like to whine like a little kid because you can’t kill a thief in two seconds. warriors can literally 3 shot a thief to death, guardians can 5shot a thief to death, necros can get 5 condis on a thief which will kill them in a matter of seconds without getting close to the thief etc. I’m not saying to buff thief, but thieves aren’t nearly as op as you people are making them out to be just because they have some invisibility(which as I mentioned before is glitched, and doesn’t make them untouchable like you are making it out to be).
I would like to join a thieves guild. I’m a level 80 thief who likes to roam in WvW when I’m not making gold with my ranger in PvE. The guild doesn’t have to be massive, but I would like to play with other skilled players so I can better myself and maybe learn a thing or two. Feel free to send me an invite. If you want to play where you don’t want to rely on stealth…..choosing thief doesn’t make much sense. There is the S/D build which is an evasive boon stripping build, but that’s it. Personally, I wouldn’t want to pick a class if I could only limit it to one meta build.
The way I play back-stab thief is use basilisk venom, steal then run behind them and use #1. I set my traits to give me stealth when stealing. So my steal gives me invisibility, turns the enemy to stone, deals damage and heals me (with mug trait) then I back-stab them. On light armor classes I end up dealing 7-11k damage right when the fight starts. Make sure to get a full rotation of your #1 in to apply poison, because if they panic heal they will heal for less.
If you don’t want to set up your traits where stealing gives you invisibility, all you have to do is use basilisk venom so you turn them into stone when you steal, use #5 immediately, then use #1 right away. If done properly, you can do this before the venom wears off.
I would also like to see a video of you playing thief. Go against a warrior, guardian, engineer, necromancer with a terromancer build, and an elementalist. If they aren’t complete garbage they will burst you easily.
Not saying thief isn’t good, but it isn’t always easy to kill everything you see or escape from losing fights if the people you are fighting are decent. I think thief is pretty good where it’s at for level of difficulty and skill needed to play the class.
Ya, it almost seems as though Anet forgot to put him in? I have been looking fot 1/2hr now, and havent seen the person. Nobody on Map chat knows where he is, and I have seen 20 other ppl looking for him. Anet, plz give a response. Did u leave this person out by accident?
