Guild Wars 2

Hi there,

I recently started playing again and am quite confused. I have learned that one can now craft precursors and then, further down the road the legendary weapon itsself.
But I crafted my trusted Kudzu sometime in 2013 and now there does not seem to be a way to unlock the collection and achievement points connected to it?

The only way I see is to craft the complete legendary again, which seems like a slap in the face, since I already put in the time and ingame money.

Am I missing a something here? Or is this intended?

So, I know Rangers have it and had it rough. And this patch is not at all what we all hoped for.
But(!) I do not know about you guys, but I do see bigger numbers in PvE and PvP. And maybe I am just a really bad player, but I like those big numbers. Sure, they are not Warrior-big, but I like it.
I have FUN playing my Ranger.
And to top it all: I finally got something I always wanted.

The game has had major bugs an imbalances from the start. Heck. There are clases that still(!) have bugs from the beta!
So why play it? Why play a Ranger if the class is so utterly broken (not my oppinion, but the masses tell it)?
Because it is still fun.
If it is not fun: Stop doing it. Don’t be so negative! Be happy!

PS: For any of you, who are using gw2lfg: I will start doing Ranger-only Dungeons soon on EU. Look out for it!

..wrong. Because to me it certainly sounds like he intents to Mind Wrack six clones.
But getting Vulnerability via Diversion (combined with the Dazzling-trait) and then instantly sending three new clones to shatter seems legit.

Anyhow. I am already using this build and it ’s fun!

Warhorn. Did I miss something? Or can we really carry a warhorn?
I would be really excited to know what its phantasm looks like.
Maybe we could summon it without an enemy present, and it would
give us permanent swiftness?

OT:
I don’t think that your 6-clone shatter-technique really still works, does it?
The way I observed it just ingame is that if you create x-number of Clones and
send them to shatter with a Cry of Frustration, these clones will shatter with
a Cry of Frustration, regardless of your next command to shatter with
Mind-Wracking damage!
Or is only the last shatter-command executed? Isn’t this what the shatter-nerv, a
few months back, was all about?

You Sir are an awesome mesmer.
Watched the vid and was amazed. I myself do have something like 1,4k+ hours on my mesmer, but still seem to have missed a LOT of things.

A little more OT: Although the obvious troll is obvious, I ‘d like to say: If there is still room for new things to find out, new builds, new niches to be explored, can one ever say the mesmer is useless?
We are around eight(?) months into this game? You really think we ’ve got it aaaaaall figured out?

Those are not my builds, as in: I invented them. I just use them.

Hello there!

First of all: Please excuse my poor english. It is not my first language!
Second: Allthough I am not really new to mesmer (1400+ hours), I do consider myself kind of noob-ish, at times. Why? Because I do not know how to theorycraft.
All I kind of do is: “Oh! 20% less recharge on my phantasm’s skills? Hm, sounds awesome, but those things die like ..flies?” or I go: “20% more damage on Mind Wrack, and 10% more critical-chance on Mind Wrack, well.. that seems to be working together, right?”
Don’t get me wrong. I am not asking those questions. They ’re rhetorical questions.

So. After that long introduction (its only purpose was to tell the interested reader what my mesmer-knowledge is about), I finally post my question:
• What do you guys think, is the best possible way to gear and trait for the highest amount of DPS in PvE?
And by gear I mean not only stats on the armor, but also runes!

Currently I am switching around between 30/30/0/0/10 (what I would call a hardcore glass-cannon: http://tinyurl.com/bqbsepc ) and the all and ever famous Shattercat 20/20/0/0/30 ( http://tinyurl.com/csxtbon ).
Allthough I like the ultimate or hardcore glass-cannon, the Shattercat build just gives me more of a mesmery feeling. Maybe because I like blowing up my illusions (I love that metaphor).
• Does the Shattercat really do the most damage? Because it feels like it, when four shatters hit a target for around 2500-4000 damage every 12 seconds.
• Or is standing ranged with the GS, spamming buttons 1,2 and 4 really be best?

I know this was kind of long, for those simple questions. But I am not sorry!
