Initial Raid Thoughts

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I must say raids are very interesting feature implemented in this beta. Champions and their mechanics are done nicely, and except bugs with UI, squad and its chat that made raids unplayable at the beginning, it was very fun to play them in the last day of the beta, and feel that raids are what an endgame should be. Looking forward to play raids when expansion will be live. See you on the release.

I must say this beta was very interesting if talking about lore aspect. Finally we got some insight how Mordremoth is creating his troops – from corpses of the fallen Pact soldiers. Since I completed Blighted Tree event in Verdant Brink, I get very interested in what we’ll see deeper in Maguuma, and what abominations will we face when we get close to Mordremoth.

BETA: What we are enjoying

I’ve most enjoyed Verdant Brink. This map feels so alive, full of details on every biomes, and my favourite from all was Itzel village, with it’s unique ambient and interesting event chain with Zintl acolytes. Overall map is challenging, especially in night, when on every corner you can be hunted either by Mordrem, dinosaurs or big beetles (I would never quess) what is a great idea in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

Solution: Give Legends more Skills

in Revenant

I really started to like Mallyx legends because of unique mechanics concentrated around condition managment in “Now we’re both in big trouble – I’ve got number of conditions and you got number of conditions – let’s see who will survive this” style, and I would be very happy if they add more skills to make gameplay more interesting .

In my opinion Revenant looks promising.

Flame and Frost: New Focus on the North

In my opinion, Flame & Frost gonna have something to do with Jormag and Primordus for sure. Look at this guy on the picture, he looks tired and cold.
I think these people escaping from something – look at these bags on the dolyaks. Behind them we see frosty mist on the left, and something what looks like volcano on the right.

I think destroyers finally arrived to the Far Shiverpeaks, but lucky, or unlucky, they landed on lands under Jormag’s influences.

Two Elder Dragons fight each other? It should be very interesting event.

Death vs Death - Necromancers and Zhaitan

in Lore

Thanks for quick answer, much appreciated. So necromancers and Zhaitan’s death magic works diffrent, as you said. Zhaitan’s army is blind force of death, when necromancers use it when is needed. Now I understand. But tell me, why necromancy is tolerate and even highly respected in Tyria? I even heard dialogue between some kid and his father near to Divnity’s Reach cementery. Father of that kid wanted his son to became necromancer, but kid seems not. Later his father was angry at him, and then I thought “Father want his son to became necromancer? So weird”.

Death vs Death - Necromancers and Zhaitan

in Lore

Hello peps.

I’m playing in GW2 since premiere, but never played in first game so my aknowledge about lore is just poor. I trying to learn more, and I’m very curious about one thing. As we all know, necromancers are masters of death magic and biological manipulation, and they priority, like others, is fight with ED corruption. But Zhaitan, being one of ED, is master of death magic too and leads his undead army toward others, even necromancers. In that case, why necromancers fight with Zhaitan, when they’re both masters of death magic, and propably have similar beliefs about how world should work? It’s because necromancers uses their powers only for personal goals and they don’t want to serve any one, they want to use dark powers for good, or they secretly want to be the only masters of death in Tyria? I want to know your opinions about that.

BTW. I always wonder why Tyrian races allow practise necromancy. It’s kind of weird IMO.

Account: mOssinPL

Character: Faurena/12lvl/Human Warrior

Server: Aurora Glade

Bug: Since 3 days (or even longer) Rancher Mepi, who begins event Defend Mepi from bandits, has stuck and event can’t start because of that. Interaction is possible with him. Me and my friend reported that bug 2 days ago to you, but no one answers. We’re playing on Aurora Glade server, and don’t know if it’s bugged on others.

Please, do something with that.
Thanks.
