new skills/weps needing elite specialization
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Am I the only one who’s annoyed with the fact that you don’t get access to a profession’s new skills and weapons unless you equip the right specialization? Is there any real reason for this? All specialization 1st minor traits give you an ability AND give you access to the weapons + skills, so why make using new stuff contingent on equipping the new trait?
Is it possible to uninstall the client in such a way that when I reinstall it, it wont take forever to redownload all the background stuff?
This seems like it should be simple, and I don’t know if it has been implemented already and I’m just dumb :P It would be nice if there was a “compact” button for the bank. Even better would be a way to manually sort the bank by type of item, name, or rarity. Based on the trading post, we know that the sort by type and rarity can be done. We know that compacting can be done, as it was done in the inventory screen. And based on the new Wallet feature, you guys know how imperitive it is to have a well sorted inventory while playing (especially for those of us with no “main” character)
I love this game, and I think the story lines are interesting and and engaging, but for those of us who are not interested in playing against others (sPvP and WvW) or being forced to wait for a group of people to accomplish a task (Dungeons), the game gets stagnant after the personal story ends. A solution to this would be to open up the story lines that a player did not choose during the game. This would not have to include quests that you didn’t have the option for (ie: order or race specific quests that you would not have access to) but should include alternate story lines like assisting the Grawl instead of the Quaggans or choosing to use the Mortus Virge instead of using the Vigil’s plan to rescue children from the Risen. These options could be made available after defeating Zhaitan, perhaps by an NPC in Caer Aval. The quests would be unlocked in quest line order, so you would need to do “Where Credit is Due” to unlock “Salt in the Wound.” The NPC might also allow be used to allow people to play quests they chose again.
Please consider this, and thank you for an amazing game experience,
Sincerely,
Tirael Righteous
First off, I love this game, so thank you for your hard work. Second, to add to the list of other bugs with Arah, the pact has been strategizing at Caer Brier on the Eradon Terrace server for at least a week. Without the gates I can’t get the final story quest. Can you lovely people at anet either fix the story line or move the entry point for the quest to outside the gates until it’s fixed?
Thanks awesome people
