I don’t think that this is possible at the moment, but I would love to see it implemented.
If anything, I would enjoy being able to swap my skill placement. You would still be restricted to the weapon(s) and skills chosen, but you could change their placements on your action bars. For example, someone is using a shortbow and a rifle; both have an immobilize skill, but they are in different slots. By allowing us to change placement, we could set it so that hitting a particular key, regardless of which weapon is equipped, will use a immobilizing skill.
Thanks for all the info you posted! If anyone else has any advice/experiences to share, I would love to hear it.
…without severely kittening your damage? Being new to the Guild Wars universe, I am unsure as to which professions can play decently with no melee weapons.
I just started playing a thief and liked the idea of playing a dual pistol (single target) / shortbow (aoe) build. I have no idea if this play style would be viable, but it sounds like a lot of fun to me. I tried the elementalist at first, but found myself just a bit overwhelmed with element swapping and weapon/skill selection. I also thought about trying a ranger out, but read on the forums that their pets die a good bit and can also grab unintended agro.
All advice is greatly appreciated!
Greetings. My warrior is currently in his early 20’s and using the multiple signet/GS high crit build. My gear is mostly aimed towards power, but has a touch of precision as well. Out in the open world I can kill things pretty quickly with just Hundred Blades, but if I find myself surrounded I can go down swiftly. I am greatly looking forward to running 5-mans when I get to the appropriate levels, but I know that my current setup and general play style will have me dying a lot.
I understand that this is a lot to ask in a game that has many different ways to play, but what would you suggest as far as gearing and weapon selection goes for surviving/contributing to 5 mans and still having adequate killing power and longevity when solo?
Thanks in advance everyone. It is greatly appreciated from someone who is new to the Guild Wars universe.
