I have problems logging in into the game, I usually get stuck in the loading screen (POI, VISTA, … load correctly).
When I do my character “crashes” (means that I see infinite lag, people running straight forever).
You already heard something like that, and many posts describe this problem that keeps coming back!!!!! for people with SWISSCOM provider like me.
Stop this please..
Me, like many other people have this issue:
Race: HUMAN
Armor: MEDIUM
Gender: FEMALE
When you equip your Head and Shoulders exotic pieces from CoF dungeon you won’t see the shoulders skin on top of the Breastplate.
Most of us really like the shoulders skin, but won’t buy them because of this bug
Chest: Shaman Reward Breastplate of Baelfire
Shoulders: same set, Cof exotic.
P.S. This happens also on “gear preview” mode.
I noticed this bug, that persists if you just try to preview and also if you actually buy the gear.
When you buy any exotic CHEST piece (example: Shaman Reward Breastplate of the Baelfire) , from the Citadel of Flame dungeon, and the SHOULDER piece from the same set you can’t visualize the shoulder piece correctly.
I also asked many players, all of them couldn’t see the shoulder piece on top of their chests.
This “bug” is quite annoying, because if you spend your time to get 180 CoF badges to buy a shoulder piece and you can’t even look at it you feel really sad

Hello, I am now reporting a bug that many gamers have already seeen.
The chest and shoulders (every one of it I guess) from the dungeon CoF (lvl80) COMBINED produce this effect:
the shoulders never appear and seems like you don’t have them equipped (even if you CHECKED the little blackbox in your Hero Panel).
Hope you can solve this

After three full days this error is still there and we can’t play GW2.
I’m also going to cry, and this is getting really annoying.
I thought that with this new “little patch” everything would be fine today, but that didn’t happen.

Same issue here, even after the “Guild Wars 2 Port Test”.
I tryed bot starting the game via the new shortcut “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” or the old one “GW2”, no positive results.

Works for me in Geneva… but I do not know how long it will last, but I’m in game
Restart your router and do a ipconfig /flushdns on the command line.
You are probably logged into an overflow server. Don’t go to your homeserver if the message pops and don’t change regions/enter instances.
My brother played the whole evening yesterday because he was in a crowded place he chose to never leave the overflow server…
i am not that lucky
edit: i noticed the launcher has also more problems to accept the login. i had 3 timeouts in a row just now…
Yes, right now I can’t even log-in with the launcher too…

Yeah it’s back like yesterday…can’t load the game after characters page and can’t see the POI, Waypoints, Hearths summary.

Just tried to transfer my account to an american server. I could log in on my main and already was “out-of-town”.
Went back to my home server (EU). Same error occured when I tried to log in.
Good, thank you. After seeing your comment I’m not going to try that “switch to US and come back” method anymore.
Just to add some more information:
I confirm that I live in Switzerland and am using Swisscom… BUT!
I can also confirm that I only have problems with characters that are in cities…
I have one character that is in Caledon Forest and approximately 85% of the times I can login with it easily, which makes this whole issue all the more sexy if you ask me…Nevertheless if anyone from ANet is reading this, then I hope the above information helps.
as additional info,
my character is stuck in the Mount Maelstorm Area, and I can’t even play with a new created one.

Control the City it gives in the autentication mail. Maybe try restart the router to change IP

I’m from the italian part of switzerland and I have a school-schweizerdeutsch
just transfer temporarily to an american server. Guilds aren’t server based, so it wont break (i am still in my guild just fine, no matter how many times i change server).
I just don’t like the idea, I already free-transfered, and I don’t know when the free-transfer thing ends….that may occur way before we solve our BIG problem!

Right now I only have this GW2 problem, my SwisscomTV and any other via-internet application works just fine.
I’m actually trying to switch some different DNSs and nothing is working out.
As a feedback I also have many friends who play from Italy regions, nobody has our problem guys!
Hope that with via TWITTER somebody is going to answer us, but I onestly don’t think it’s a problem they can fix, to me it sounds more like something the providers have to handle with

I’ve already had some issues with swisscom DNS. It’s just crap. I’ll give it a try.

Do you have the white Centrino Grande router? You need to log into it (user and pass will be in documentation somewhere) at (in a browser) 192.168.1.1, go into Settings and on the first page there there’s an option to change Primary and Secondary DNS. I don’t know what OpenDNS address is, but google is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Put it in and click save, and then go to the diagnostics page and reboot it. Or you can power cycle it on the router itself.

Back to error 5.11.3.157.101 after transferring back to Whiteside Ridge.
Oh, so that issue pops up to players from different servers…I’m on Seafarer’s Rest for example.

They mentioned it on twitter and “fixed” it twice, but neither time I noticed any improvement in the situation. For the last hour they haven’t seemed to acknowledge it at all.
Exactly, seems like nobody of the GW2 team noticed this error…neither on twitter or on these forums…
