It does not fix the issue. You could just be lucky and able to create a character regardless of what drive the game was installed to. I had that once during the day. Out of multiple attempts I was able to actually create character and log it into game world once…. shame it had a random combination of letters for a name, should I have known I’d use a proper name and enjoy my ranger by now.

I’ve submitted a ticket earlier and their response was that ‘the Guild Wars 2 Development Team is aware of this issue and team members currently are working on addressing it’ and that we should ‘keep an eye on the official forums for any future updates and announcements’ bla bla. So hopefully a fix soon.

Nope, moving game to a different drive did not fix it for me.
