I actually do not know how to waste them, 25 charges does not last long enough in a small group fight. since some will be missed, and due to I put most my point into earth and water, I cannot kill all mobs. and the backup one always get took away.
actually it is not much problem lately, I am not 80 yet, and there is nobody in med-level zone anymore, I am always soloing, and nobody take my weapon anymore. also I feel there are much less DE now compare with right after launch. so are you guys all 80 now? everybody is in orr? how long take you guys hit level 80?
Just a small question, why do you guys think conjured weapon has charges?
I felt it is like the kit from engineer and their kits do not have limits on the number of time to use it. If I am not wrong, they also have a very short cold time and a F# skill to use.
And I do not feel that our conjured weapon are very powerful, so you need have a limits on it. Most of them are pretty bad.
Do you guys know if there is a reason behind it?
Also, I am not complaining, I just thought about this question a little bit ago, and felt very curious.
I think that just because ranger has very long range skill + bear, which make the bot not too easy to die and lease movement. So the bot is easier to make.
Sometimes I want to know how many level those bot are, are they all level 80? by killing same thing over and over again ?
Agree, cripple would be great.
Another thing that could help is if the Greatsword’s skill 3, Mind stab, had a bigger radius. It says affects up to 5 targets but at that radius they would need to stack on each other to all be hit!
I wouldn’t mind the small radius if it was more rewarding to hit with Mind Stab. Currently:
- Removes 1 boon
- Does about the same damage as GS auto
- Can’t move during animationSo I have to aim this tiny circle on an enemy who is likely moving, and the only thing i have to show for it is it removes exactly 1 boon. Mind Stab is on a long enough cooldown that the removal of 1 boon doesn’t seem to even help that much.
I’d be happy if they either made the damage worthwhile, or added some kind of cripple/immobilize or other condition effect to it, possibly along with a CD reduction.
I am actually not sure how does this work. You see the mesmer forum is actually not too bad in the sense of “complain” in compare with elementalist forum. There, people are crying for their issues and posting really really well formatted post with suggestion. Many of them have very long explaining and quite some of them are reasonable change in my opinion. And you see what happened, they (I want to say we here, cause I have elementalist as well) getting weaker and weaker in every patch. It is like the more you complain the weaker you gets (You see, warrior is same as the release right? I have not seem any warrior say that they are underpowered yet).
If we don’t complain then Anet won’t know how the playerbase feels about a change and whether to tweak the change or balance further. By saying “everything is fine”, then Anet gets no worthwhile feedback. You’re essentially taking yourself out of the equation because you’re not offering any critical commentary on the change and instead offering up nothing but acquiescence. This is not conducive to effective balancing and effective feedback from the community.
Yes, exactly. We are great. But look at the update on Oct 7 thread, so many people are really upset. So my point is, we are here because we like the class, so be positive.
Hi everybody, I know what is the new patch means to us. But I don’t think complain about it helps. I do not think Anet make changes base on what we say here. They may do a statistic or something else, and then make this kind of change.
I am not trying to suggest that the change is ok, I feel we are weak at PVE too, and I do think the change made it worse. But you know what, I still love this class. I believe the reason you guys talk about it is the same. So now, let’s be positive, go back to the game and try to enjoy.
In the end, if you still feel bad, just take look at elementalist and their change. You feel happy instantly (Unfortunately, I DO have a elementalist, now I decide to let her go, elementalist is just going to become weaker and weaker base on the experience of GW1, [7 Years, it took 7 years for Anet to fix elementalist in GW1]).
So, in conclusion. Be happy, if you not, look at elementalist and then be happy.

You video is really bad, they have no idea what they are doing, and you are not doing much better. It does not convence anyone in anyway, it just explained that there are people who do not know what to do and you can take advantage over them.
I think this thread and most other has forgot one thing, the game is built for fun and entertainment, does it really matter wether ele is powerful or not? If it gets people the fun gameplay, then it is ok to be suck ( which i believe it is also the reason why there is still ele around ). For me, I die a lot when I play ele, but i am ok with it. You may say i am not doing it right, but THIS IS A GAME, I HAD FUN, so I am ok with it.
I believe this same thing should apply to you, be a good ele does not rewards you anything for real, you do not need to prove anything, anyone had fun with ele should keep their ele, anyone not feel that way should re-roll or quite. WASTE YOUR TIME ON SOMETHING YOU DO NOT LIKE MAKE NO SENCE.
short version: If you like ele and have fun, keep it. Otherwise quite or Re-Roll, Anet most likely not going to fix it soon if at all.
Botters have incorperated waypoint respawn,return to location,waypoint circuit paths and last night I’m pretty certain I spotted automated resource gathering (without going to the length of stalking the bot).So a simple knockback feature just won’t do the job.
I actually kinda like the idea of auto gathering bot, if the bot keep does that, they need to sell the resource at tp right ? And that means the resource price is going to be lower, and we will no longer worry about the boring gathering thingy any more.
