GTX 750 and cards alike aside. I’ve played on a GTX650 that runs perfectly fine in Guild Wars 2 on 1080p with an i5 setup(Medium/High Graphics). A GTX 750 can’t really compare to a 570 though. GTX 550/650/750 are all meant to be mid level/low end video cards. While 570/670/770 are supposed to be right under the performance of a GTX 480/580/680/780. So you won’t have the same GPU performance as he does.
However, graphics cards most likely aren’t the issue here.
So here is a question.
Were you having perfectly fine FPS before the Feature pack patch? If so, you most likely fall into the problem that a lot of us are having right now. The latest patch is, which was supposed to fix and improve game performance and optimization, actually did quite the oposite for a lot of players.
Here is a reddit thread where a lot of us have been discussing the issues.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2g9cpt/performance_issues_since_patch/
A lot of us who used to get 100+ fps (60 constant if vsynced) now get 40-50fps and stuttering issues. Check out the thread, see if it matches any issues you’ve been having.

Submitted a ticket today. I explained what was going on and I also linked a reddit thread (here)
This is absurd how they haven’t acknowledged that there is an issue with the games performance for many players. Its been almost a week since the feature patch and there hasn’t been anything from a dev. I’m not going to be surprised if there’s a patch that comes out soon that fixes the issue, but won’t be mentioned. Its as if they don’t want us to know they made mistakes. Tell us whats wrong, give us a time frame and we will be fine.
Ever since the feature pack, I’ve seen countless players complaining about how the game is either now unplayable due to stuttering/fps drops and even game freezing.
Here is the thread that was created on reddit.

So when is anet going to address this quickly? You have percentage of the player base dealing with this issue and it currently doesn’t seem to be of concern. (Do we need to pay 800 gems to fix this? sarcasm)
This should be #1 priority at the moment along with some of the other major bugs the patch has brought in.
I would like to see a red post on this thread, but let me get 800 gems ready.
Same issues for me. Fios here and in California.
Asking anet to fix this is almost like asking them to fix the problems with fractals. Getting uninfused rings in lvl 40+ runs. Getting dredge after colossus when almost half a year ago, we were told that shouldn’t happen (plot twist: it still happens very often) My most recent favorite is how anet ninja patched the ability to hop over to the aetherblade boss after beating mai-trin. Yet, we haven’t seen a fix to the fractals drop rate (Its god awful now since a couple patches ago where they said they increased it), fix dredge/colossus overlapping issue.
Here is my take on megaserver. It has some good and a ton of bad.
The good:
- You now see players more frequently on your middle tier maps (30-60).
- You get to socialize a lot more with people who are from different servers.
- Who knows, it could be saving anet money by switching to megaservers (This isn’t true though)
The bad:
Megaserver has been screwing up a lot of guild/organized events since it has been out. I will admit, it has made some of them a lot easier (Tequatl is actually somewhat doable now). I’ll talk about guild missions right now.
Guild Missions:
This is probably the worst i’ve ever seen. The way it used to be was a lot easier. Home servers had a very low percentage of guilds actually conflicting with one another. I think in my time since doing guild missions. We’ve only ran into other guilds maybe 5/100 times. After reset, we would start and we’d get to the bounty and wait for everyone to gather. 5 minutes later we would kill it and move onto the next thing. Challenge was even easier. Everyone got to the map and finished the event. Move onto puzzle, no issue at all. Move onto the rush, start it, escort everyone through. Boom done.
Megaserver guild missions was very different. Start bounty, guild was in 3 different overflows and took at least 10 minutes to get everyone into the correct megaflow. We barely had enough time to kill the person we were looking for. Move onto guild challenge. This was probably the worst I’ve ever seen. We had guild members spread across possibly 4 different megaflows. Finally got it down to 2 megaflows and then on one of the other instances, another guild starts the challenge. ONE PERSON. From our guild, who most likely was new, finished the event with the other guild and accepted the rewards. When we finished on the main, we didn’t get commendations at all. About 50 guild members got screwed over. About half of the guild moved onto rush, which in itself, was just like challenge. Had members participate in rush and accepted reward, main megaserver players got screwed over and never got rewards from our own activated event.
Megaserver screws every guild mission. Of course you can change the times your guild does missions, but then you lose about 75% of your guild population due to time restraints and time zones.
Lets move onto world events, specifically tequatl and tri-wurm. Tequatl has mixed results. I’ve seen it succeed with pug commanders and just flat out fail terribly. So it is a 50/50 with teq. Wurm however, if you ever want to finish the event and actually beat it. You need organization, you’ll never get that with people who are not in teamspeak, not paying attention to map/say chat, and under leveled. I have yet to beat the wurm and I’ve been trying to do it with TTS for a while now. My times very so I can’t really say they haven’t beat it (I know they have) however, with megaserver, getting us all on the same instance is ugly. You now run into megaservers who have a ton of people who are trying to map complete and take up the spots for players needed to actually complete the event. You never end up in the correct megaserver. The public spawn time can stay the way it is, but when it is started by a guild, they need to be given their own instance if they want it. Groups such as TTS that need pure organization would love this. Personally making your own instance for it would be perfect. Limit them to just the area where they are going to be and have the system kick them out if they leave the area (Just like personal story stuff).
At least give the person who started the event the ability to start a new megaserver so that they can start fresh, no mapping players, nothing. Fresh start. I’ve read that people think that anet did the megaservers because it would save them money. Looking at it from an IT stand point. Yes it would save them a lot of money, but the other reason it was done was entirely different. You have maps that have never been touched unless its people doing mapping or meta events. Once they are over the map is completely empty again with maybe 3 players on it trying to gather materials or finish a heart. They did this because their mid level content maps are dead. You have tons of players complaining about how they cant finish certain events or they never see other players on the maps they were on in their home server. Thus megaserver was born. I see the reasoning behind megaserver, it is a great reason and it has been ok in certain areas, but like almost all things anet has done. It seems like a lot of thinking went into certain aspects, but not all.

Could you do one of both these two characters together? I’ll pay the cost for it. (60g i think?) Make them look couplely if you could

Exactly. Ive been trying to finish off my legendary. Which when you had karma each path, was really easy. It made running the dungeons worth something along with the dungeon tokens. Now, it is almost pointless for me to do dungeons.
Just did a Path of SE for the first time today (After reset). Had 4,099 at the start, had 4,099 at the end after rewards. Did they just entirely take karma out? This is completely stupid.
Was it a recent nerf? Like from the TA patch? or 2 weeks ago? Because wiki should be updated with that.
I just noticed this today. I haven’t been getting the amount of karma i should be getting for when I run dungeons. Just about 2 hours ago before I ran 2 dungeons (3 paths each) I was at about ~1,100 karma. After running Both CoF and CoE (All paths) 6 paths in total. I’m only at 3,709. Each path should give 1,880. Is this a bug? If so. I’ve been probably missing out on tons of karma for the past week or two and just now noticed.
It isn’t once per dungeon for all paths. Wiki says “1,880 Karma (first time each day per path)” That is how it has been always, until recently.
I approve this message. I hate getting PvP’d in WvW when i’m trying to do PvE stuff. It is awful. Ban them all……

For someone who is an expert economist, maybe you can figure out what happens to price on a good when it goes from a few dozen items generated per day to hundreds (thousands?) in a few hours.
Or to put it more simply – if it takes 24g to make an exotic mini, as others have pointed out, you aren’t going to maintain a much higher price for long.
Price drops of course, due to an increase of supply. Simple supply and demand. Did i know how they were getting increase supply right off the bat when i saw it? I had ideas. Someone was forging one of the minis. It was easy as that.
The prices for the exotics didn’t tank for long. They are basically back up to their original or at least close to it. The price will level out again once people buy them up and make a profit.
This hurts my heart seeing how many of you thought Exotic mini’s were going to tank forever and how you guys didn’t understand it.
Do they teach economics correctly anymore? You also have the people who undercut to blame for the drop in price. Its like they learned economics in Russia or something. “Lets undercut and lose out on all the profit!”
(edited by mehyaM.3042)
Of course the picks would effect the price of ori. Its actually probably going to effect all ore. Orichalcum will be the one that gets the bigger hit. You have more supply coming into the market now. Now that everyone has at least one character with an unlimited pickm supply is currently slightly higher than demand, even though demand for orichalcum is up there. That is why your orichalcum prices are going down. It isn’t that hard to figure out.
I like the part where everyone seems to be missing the increase in supply which results into a lower price. Good times.
This isn’t a bug. The “Swapping Characters” doesn’t work anymore. DR for dungeons is account bound now. So the way it works is even though you got 60 on another character, when you run the SAME path again with a different character, DR still kicks in but it will take it out of the “Daily Token Reward” you are supposed to get.
I’ve done the runs plenty of times to know this isn’t a bug. To get around it, run the dungeon on the one character til you hit 5 tokens, wait about an hour. Use another character. You will not get the DR on your second character (Should get full 60 tokens), Rinse and Repeat. This is correct, you just aren’t paying attention.
I’ve been getting extreme lag/delay. Feels like major lag, problem is. GW2 is the only game that has this problem. Ever since the new patch on March 1st. I’ve been lagging non stop. Other games will not have this problem. It isn’t my internet. I’m not losing packets. It is the game.
Balthazar is open on Fort Aspenwood

And while the risen temple of Grenth is a fine example of very hard event
Good joke. Grenth isn’t that hard.
I have a guildy who has completed the 500/500 fractal runs and has only gotten one ring ever.
Don’t nerf her. Shes perfect just the way she is
. Arah is still a pub stomp dungeon. I love it.
There is a very simple way to beat dwayna :>
The “Drop you from the sky” aoe, hits you 3 times while dropping you. Anywhere from 3-4k. In the video you see me either renew focus or put on a block skill to block the 3 shots. IF you block all 3 shots or evade them, you won’t be tossed up.
Bugged as well for me. Restarted twice. The helicopter stops halfway when the cutscene starts. Cutscene is causing it to bug.
Grenth can be easily done with a large group as it can be done with a small group. The only difference is that with a small group of less than 5 players, it only takes 1 person to carry the team. The more people you have, the more that are needed to know how to step in the shade pools.
In my eyes a larger group = a higher fail rate. Unless of course that entire zerg knows what they are doing, but chances of that are high or low depending on the players. I’m not saying it can’t be done without a big group, most of the temple events ive done have all been huge groups, but people think you can’t do it with less. Of course in the video we had our close calls, but we’ve two manned grenth before. You just get a tanky person on grenth while any dps people take care of shades.
Currently while in cursed shore right now, ive seen grenth fail twice so far while ive been walking around get orichalcum. Everytime I see it fail.. “We need more people!” All I’m saying is this video is for people who have this mindset where they think grenth can’t be done if you don’t have a big group. Which I have had multiple arguments about that in my server.
(edited by mehyaM.3042)
The problem I have with a lot of people is that they never respawn. It was VERY risky to be reviving someone during that fight. Unless a bunch of you are on one person. The chances of you to die are up there.
I have a problem with people who just sit there dead for a huge amount of the fight and cause the event to scale even higher.
I’ve just had a lot of people try to talk down on me due to the “You don’t know what you are talking about” “Grenth can’t be done with less than 8 people”.
Could be that people that I talk to really have no idea what they are talking about.
This video is mainly for people who say “Grenth can’t be done without 20 people”…. This was basically a 4 manning of grenth, but the 2 other players died. So for a decent majority of the fight it was a 2 man.
You just need smart players.
Follow their twitter. They usually will post when the patch is incoming or around what time to expect it.
So you are saying that Anet is in control of you spending your money? What the heck. Since when can they grab my wallet and make me spend money.
oh wait they don’t. That is all on you.
Anything that is worth a lot of money on the TP that comes out of the black lion chests. You have an extremely low chance at getting.
Perma contracts = high sell rate = low chance.
That is all you need to know. I think they are lower than the halloween skins.
Dev gave some great tips. Although with an experienced group, you can get to difficulty 4 quite fast. I think the swamp was my favorite and also my streams favorite. As I was taking the whisps backittenpt encountering “Moss Man” and would scream “Ahhh mossman!”
@ mehyaM.3042
Consortium Chest do not require any keys to open.
My bad, still not worth purchasing, seeing that the cost of the items are so low on TP. you could just save up a couple gold and buy everything.
Also for those who are complaining about not getting the skins…
A quick definition of “rare” for you.
1. not widely known; not frequently used or experienced; uncommon or unusual a rare word
2. occurring seldom a rare appearance
3. not widely distributed; not generally occurring
(edited by mehyaM.3042)
That was your fault for dropping 17g on chests. You should know better. Watch the market first. I didn’t buy one halloween chest. Got all 3 skins, held onto them and made a 60g profit. Learn to play the market my dear friend. It will do you wonders.
Do not blame ANet for your mistakes.
On the other side. Wouldn’t it make more sense to put a discount on keys and actually raise the drop rate during the event weekend? I think that raising the key drop rate would have fixed the whole fiasco from the halloween event.
Use running skills, grab the furthest orbs, ignore the fights… etc etc. I’ve had groups finish it in 30 seconds with like 1:10 remaining on the timer.
I’ve lost about 1.5g in total. It seems to be a bug, I had pruchased 90 bone chips for around 29 silver. It took my money but never delivered the bone (yes they were available). I had also bought a rare weapon for around 5 silver, never got that either.
When I went to go get 30 silver I had gained in selling from the Trading Post, It actually never gave it to me when I clicked “take all”. It just ate it…
Another thing I noticed was that during my completion of Sparkfly Fen, I had a drop from a monster that was a gold and a green. I went to go grab it and it instantly disappeared. I’m wondering if these two are connected in anyway.
