I’ve seen this complaint about Arah, the Vigil, and the Priory, but it’s happening with the Order and Pact storylines as well… NPCs just won’t speak. The dialogue is written but there is no audio. My characters always talk, but Tybalt, Apatia, Reil, Trahearne, and sooooo many others have been silent intermittently. Though it’s not as kittenome of the other issues being reported, it’s quite obnoxious.
Thanks, guys. I -am- inexperienced with dungeons; my old guild literally only ran AC. I can do P3 with my eyes closed!
I very much appreciate your offer, oxtred, but I’m NA.
Zui, thanks for the link. It looks promising.
Okay, so I’ve never run Arah (story or explorable), but I really want to. I’ve heard that one should have high AR for explorable, but I’m curious as to whether that’s the case with story mode as well. Neither the forums nor Google have been any help. If so, should I spend the gold to max out the AR or can I be a penny-pincher and go with just 50 or so? I presently have 25k HP but haven’t equipped any Ascended gear yet to up my Vitality, if my HP makes any difference.
This is probably a really dumb question. Apologies, and thanks in advance!
So today I went into my home instance to farm my candy corn node and open my bandit chest. What I found (and didn’t find) confused me. The orphans from the Wintersday story were there and my bandit chest was missing. This has happened once before; I solved my orphan issue by destroying their letter. They had been gone since the 13th. My bandit chest, which I got on the 13th, shows up on the map but is nowhere to be found. I went to another city to see if the problem persisted. The same thing happened. It’s pretty obvious that the kids stole my stuff, but still…
The children/peppermint icon are just an annoyance, but I would like my bandit chest. I’d appreciate any ideas or a solution from someone who had the same problem.
Thanks in advance!
And it leaves me very little to play the game doing what I initially started to do. To give you an example: I am working on ascended armor, that means I need silk or gold to buy it. That means farming silverwastes or Orr, or doing dungeons, NOT hopping around in Dredgehaunt Cliffs or Gendarran Fields.
A few things here:
~I am in absolute agreement and am also working on an Ascended, so I need to farm.
~Also, I, like the OP, have a neurological problem and a palsy. The northern part of Dredgehaunt Cliffs has this weird snow effect that gives me seizure auras. I can’t go into that zone at all (unless I want to lose my driver’s license, and I really don’t want that to happen again ) . That also means I can’t get world completion, but I don’t mind that because I never planned on making a Legendary.
~I detest PvP and WvW. PvE and Living Story are why I got the game.
It feels sometimes like getting three dailies is like getting monthlies. Sure, I don’t have to kill 40 champs, but I have to pop all over the map. Sometimes the dailies are on maps that my character doesn’t have yet.
As for APs, maybe one AP could be given for the first two dailies, then ten if we get three. I think that would be a nice compromise.
OP and others, get well soon <3
I think this might play out like the bonus missions from gw1, where you play as one of the iconic npc characters; this could be achieved through a magical spell, assuran science, or a mixture of both, but effectivly, we will see a flashback of caithe’s past, by playing it ourselfs. I have mixed feelings about this, it was cool to play as togo and the rest, but I hated having their builds and armor forced upon me. Still, if anet did go this rout, it would be cool.
My thoughts exactly.
Possibly more Pale Tree magic, if she isn’t still sick. She can give visions of the future, and dead sylvari have their memories ‘uploaded’ (?) to the Dream, so I think it’s within the realm of possibility that she could send us visions of the past.
I don’t think Purple Hair will be the PC, or at least I hope she isn’t the one we have to control if Otaku’s theory is correct. I’m terrible at playing anyone in light armor. I do kinda hope this theory is what will happen. I never played GW1 ~sadface~ so I’d welcome the new type of experience ^.^
Hullo!
This is a rather irritating problem that started about three days ago. Every so often my game will minimize to the desktop. I can click right back on immediately; it isn’t a crash. Sometimes it happens every two minutes, sometimes it will be hours between minimizations. No lag precedes it.
My rig more than exceeds the minimum specs. I set all my graphics options back to default and I ran virus & malware scans. I don’t really know what else to try. I’m kind of computer illiterate.
I run Win 8 with NVIDIA, if that’s necessary info.
Thank you in advance ^.^
