You also contradicted yourself.
Let me rephrase that. People believe they can spam skills when there is no energy cost for weapon skills, but Anet will increase the cooldowns to compensate that so you won’t be spamming much. Or they will be just made weaker. I really fail to see why this is better.
A bad idea that many people suggest without much thought.
When energy costs are removed they can spam weapon skills all the time, and can use utilities lot more – but what does that exactly solve? These skills will be nerfed or have even longer cooldowns for PVP/WVW. In PVE you’ll be still turning on upkeeps and autoattack. You still swap stances or just wait when you run out of energy.
If anything, what rev needs is more ways of managing energies, and removing energy cost is not the solution.
1. After first wipe to skull bomb tell them what to do in this scenario
2. Do the bouncing ball by yourself – one is enough to do it
3. If players don’t dodge the AoE and die over and over again, stop rezzing them and finish with 4 or less players. 100 is very easy doable, you don’t need 5 players alive.
I’ve always asked if they knew what to do yet always someone managed to fail somewhere so far. Hell I’ve seen someone starting the fight when I was still explaining, twice. Bouncing ball phase is another problem since despite explanations sometimes everyone flock to the ball and kill others with social awkwardness or just fail to kill adds.
People may find it easy when you run with good players (everything is), but so far I haven’t met any group like that. You might say that I’ve been just unlucky, or in reality I am just a bad player and blaming others, however, what I can say is that it’s very different from my other fractal experiences, and not in a good way.
I’ve yet to clear 100 despite multiple attempts.
From the thread it seems like everyone will tell me just ‘u sux git gud’ but the problem I see here is that one guy making a bad move can wipe the entire party, especially at the second boss. I’ve always had someone who didn’t jump into the dome when he had a skull, or who said he’ll bounce the ball but didn’t, or didn’t dodge the huge AOE, not using special action so on and after that it is basically impossible to make a comeback. And the fights are really long, which really wears people out and make them just give up after few wipes.
I’d call that a really bad design for a pug fractal, and I hope Anet never do thing like that again.
Sadly Arenanet stopped caring about Revenants. Not only that the new elite spec is poorly made and unusable underwater, many Revenant skills used to be very buggy on uneven terrain. Some of them got fixed, and the worst one just got fixed two weeks ago after two years of complaining. And guess what, Renegade has new fancy skills that also buggy in the same way.

Hanlon’s razor. Never attribute to malice what can be well explained by incompetence. They just have no idea what to do with the class.
Overall very negative.
Liked animation, graphics, music and atmosphere.
Did not like repeatable hearts to grind, that said repeatable heart is a part of story, and we need to do that to ID items. Also not sold on adventures.
Gameplay felt boring due to lack of interesting enemies, interesting events, and interesting places. Bounties didn’t felt enjoyable due to poor balancing and scaling.
Not sure about mounts: they could be fun, but map design so far is a flat surface with some jumping ramps. This could change with new mounts and maps. Constant dismounting when doing anything is annoying. And please fix revenant facet issue. They get turned off when we go underwater or pick up a bundle which is already very annoying, and now even mounts do that.
I didn’t like this demo. The map looks pretty and the raptor is interesting, but that’s about all good things I can say about it.
The mount felt sluggish and unresponsive, and didn’t feel as agile as it could be as many people have mentioned, with constant annoyance of summoning it again and again whenever I wanted to do some gathering, talking to NPC, or anything. As a Revenant my facet always gets turned off as a bonus.
Furthermore, I didn’t find bounties interesting, as they are just another boss mobs on timer. You get enough people and you just spam 1. Fighting regular enemies didn’t feel interesting either. I’ve seen nothing like pocket raptors, modrem snipers or smokescales of HoT which all provided interesting challenge and twist to combat.
Also, while the map was pretty, it felt empty with nothing interesting could be going on. There is another set of repeatable hearts for more grinding just like in LW3, and more chests to run around to open a la Silverwastes. Even the first parts of the story had this boring section of filling a heart, and I am already weary of all those daily quests for grinding them.
Anet said this expansion is focused on contents…and the problem here is that this demo simply fails to show any glimpse of interesting contents. We even don’t get to play with new elites. I really hope this isn’t the case when the xpac gets released properly, but so far this simply doesn’t leave a good impression on me.

Just had the same experience with a human toon. Was doing a map completion.
Always be specific when you are asking for help. What build and gear do you use? Which story mission is hard to beat? What mob is killing you? If you have problems with condi and survival, did you try to do solve that in any way? Without such information you’re probably not gonna get some good advices.
All classes except thief got direct damage boosts to skills with the biggest change at revenant, which got a skill boosted by freaking 100%
You sure are absolutely clueless. Look up on the wiki about how much that 100 percent increase means.
Did the run with my rev and died like 3 times. Found constant aoe spams, a very short window for special action and small roomwith terrible fight camera controls very annoying but it wasn’t that bad.
You can get condi cleanse and stun break with stance swap (every 10 seconds), and perma-protection and infuse light helps a lot. Thought doing it with something like elementalist would be very difficult tho.

So far I like action camera mode, but one thing that bugs me is that I really don’t have an option to continue autoattacking in it. I’ve been told that I can press 1, but as soon as I turn camera look around, it gets canceled. There is no way to keep attacking the target while looking at something else, and I find this quite annoying.
Can we get this autoattack option to ‘stick’? We already have LMB for hitting what is in the crosshair.
