So let me get to the point where I found this out.
What the skill does is, it stuns you and then bursts you down with 9 quick slashes. Now if your specs and armor is into precision and power those 9 slashes dmg will do alot of dmg, to the extend of getting us 3 with like using it 2 or 3 times since the Thief does not have cooldown.

I read this and I got my little ol’ thief to do a tiny bit of testing.

1. You cannot move while in the midst of Pistol Whip, so TWO out of the THREE of you had the opportunity to get out of the way and unload on him/her after s/he put a 0.5 second stun on you.

Why exactly are you going out into WvWvW (Isn’t this PvP?) in this type of gear? Wouldn’t you want a bit more vit/tough to help boost your ability to sustain life?

3. Thieves don’t have “colddowns” as you say, but we do have an energy type function that limits how much we can do and how often we can do it. So no, I couldn’t pop off 3 Pistol Whips and still be able to do anything else in that time. Besides, as stated in #1, I wouldn’t be able to move while Pistol Whipping.

Like the other posters said, you need to have better awareness of your opponents in a PvP environment.
