My temperary solution is using window mode or window fullscreen mode.

Here is SEA area, also huge delay. Suddenly Lagging.

Normal about 250, now is 300-500 and suddenly jump to 1k – 2k or more.

Please don’t answer somethings you don’t know.

We playing from different location of the world.

The problem is clearly not about ISP, because “other MMO not effected, only GW2”.

And also some player share their test result to support it, just you cannot understand that what those result mean.

We know that what is normal ping in our area, (SEA about 200-300), and now it is NOT normal.

And the game is unplayable a in such situation, so we come here to point out the issue, I believe here got some IT expert player and same to Guildwar2 team.

I know you mean no harm, but please stop, don’t mess up with unnecessary argument beside the real issue. Thank you.

I from SEA area same thing happen , but it is strange for other games in N.A is not effect.

*other game : try to play Paladin and purposely choose the NA server

Verbal abuse, though if you consider it normal talk, just forget it then. There’s no real point in reporting someone just because they said they reported you. An ArenaNet member will look at the chat logs and determine the outcome.

Still block him if you wish, so you don’t have such a heated debate with him in the future. If you truly didn’t do anything wrong yourself, then don’t worry. Even if 100 people reported you, ArenaNet will see you did nothing wrong, and you’ll face no action.

It just seems like one of those heated conversations both parties are better off forgetting to be honest.

If you feel abused by another’s chat, block and report under Verbal Abuse. If not, then ignore it.

I didn’t see any abuse from either party in the chat logs you uploaded. /shrug

Yes.

I didn’t screen capture before this guy pm to me and said that he reported me.

To protect myself I have to start screen capture, and find out the reason for beind reported, even I was in another rank match, because this issue, our team have to 4 vs 5 in most of the time in that rank match.

That guy said he was in live support and said they(could it mean GM?) will deal this to me.

Right click and report in-game and block if you think it counts. ArenaNet will be the judge and you can move on.

You’ll need to remove the player’s name from the images though, as naming and shaming (even if you’re right) is against the rules on these forums.

Verbal Abuse?
Scamming?

To me , it just normal talk, I can’t understand why he make report.

So, I just come here for asking any rule I did against?

When in the PVP game, I facing lag problem, then I explain the lagging issue.

And one of the player said that show him the video, or he don’t accept.

After awhile, he said he reported me for Abuse.

I didn’t scold anyone in match, and I believe that some other players also facing the lagging issue recently.

So, do we can only play silence in game?
Otherwise it cause abuse?

Did I do something wrong in it? Or I against any rule in GW2?

The original type as I remember , the lightning is come out from hand and hit on enemy body.

Now it is reversed.

lightning out from body, and hit on the enemy’s hand.

And I suspect sometime it cause no damage

Update 10-May-2016:

I found that normal ping (about 2XX, more stable) came back today when login to the game.

Hope that other players in SEA area also solve the lagging issue.

For what it’s worth, GW2 was completely unplayable due to lag for the longest time – essentially forcing me to quit the game. Took me FOREVER to find out what the cause was (it wasn’t Anet or my ISP)..

In the end, (and this is dumb), but I found the cause to be having Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher open in my system’s background. As soon as I closed it ended the background processes associated with it… lag gone

Thought it worth mentioning as it caused me to stop playing the game for over a year before I managed to figure out the cause, so I guess look at any common programs you guys could have in the background that could conflict with GW2

It is great to hear you solve your lagging inssue.

I believe we also doing our own checking for connection.

This is first time I hear about Blizard battle.net cause lagging, since I am not using it.

But when this delay issue appear, the first things for me to do is close any other softwares which might using internet, try to make the lagging issue better.

no download software, garena, steam, etc will close untill no other software using internet beside guildwar , only open teamspeak when group event, only left browser.

Thank for all of the reply and provide checking clue, although sometime we might have different view or disagree.

It’s likely level 3 in Texas having issues. There were issues with this last month too. It’s not Anet. Run ping plotter to find out. Read my link posted above.

Have a look Sniper.4501’s post, it clearly have to ask Anet checking.

As he/she said it is not all US game lagging, but only Guildwar2.

It don’t look like our ISP problem, can Anet do some server side checking?

As I know that is many reason cause lagging and need to check.

I believe as a player, we had do our part.
inform ISP, check our connction , inform game company

Please remenber, players are not IT technical.

In fact, a [company to ISP contact] is much more effective than
[one internet user call ISP hotline complain about game lagging]

I think it is common sense which I should not need to explain.

What could player provide to their ISP?

Game server ip?
Game map ip?
Server registry date?
Server registry name?
Who is the person in charge for the server?
Connection port setting?
Client side and server side connection protocol?
etc……

Who got all of this kind of document?
Of course not the normal game player, ever GM may not have the right to know all of this information depend on the company rules.

Normally, only the IT department or server provider got the information, and for security reason, they should not show to outsider.

If you asking player to solve an big area connection issue happen to one OMM company server issue with their ISP themself, please provide full information about server setting and other information needed, and an autherithen letter/email , to allow 3 party for using document/info , and proof that all such documents is not stolen from company, all legal to use.

So,m which is easier?

1. Asking server provider/ IT team to check and adjust their connection setting,
They might make few contact(call or email) with ISP if necessary

Or

2.Collect and provide all of the document above which should under security policy to a person who you don’t even know the truth name, and ask the person to solve game server connection problem?

We both hoping the problem be solved.

I believe we already show the problem is not on client side, this should be SEA area problem, it is not personal issue.

SEA area got lagging issue, few days now

It started from few days agos.

I afraid it was temperary issue but I seen not.

As the ping normally is 200-250 in my area.

Now the ping is unstable from about 350-800, (the delay killed the fun), it effect the map chat, guild chat, and delay in game. I cannot be sure to jump over the TEQ wave as normal.

I asking to some other SEA player in game, they are facing the same problem.

Please do the checking for your server connection, I am a player in Blackgate, live in SEA area.

Hope this issue can be solve as soon as possible, it really not a good feeling espacially when people planning to join the WvW.

Please help, thank you.

PS, here provide some inforfmation here may help.
this few days:
1. I didn’t move to other country,
2.I didn’t change new modem/router
3.I didn’t change setting.
4. I didn’t change internet service

I’m apologize because I just sent a Technical Support email before I get here.

I don’t know which is the correct place to bring out this issue, so I decide to do both.

I joined Guildwar2 for months (from about the end of 2015) , at the begining it is normally as other internet gaming.

But recently the high ping issues keep happen, if not wrongly I believe it is began from last week.

I provide my internet data checked from whatismyip.com. SEA zone.

IP Address Is:
1.32.13.149
City: Batu Pahat
State: Johor
Country: MY
ISP: Telekom Malaysia Berhad

and provide two video which is normal game in FOTM

PS:I am not download anything when playing game.

I have to mention that, sometime ISP might blocking IP wrongly, just because too many users connect to it.

It is impossible to us(or other players) to due with ISP company , because as the normal players , we do not have the right to do so for Guildwar2.

And, we don’t really got the information, ex: server ip, server location, server registry company, ports.. or…etc.

My personal view that it could be wrong banned or limited by ISP.(might be wrong also)

About 2005 year, another game company facing the similiar issue, and they didn’t due with ISP or not do fast enough. At the end, the problem stay for more than half year, they losing a lot of customer from their server CHT version, and players moving to ENG version, same game handle by another company.

Player have to restart everything from level 1, but we got not choice since the seriosly lagging, disconnect issues, some player cannot even login to the game, force players give up.

Hopefully this won’t happen to Guildwar2.
