I just started playing the event yesterday, and after a few games, I was suspicious of gear being a factor or that the scout was nerfed compared to last year. Last year I remember being able to take out anyone using a combo of the a full length snipe shot and a few attacks. This year however, I’ve seen a full length snipe hit for under 50% of someone’s health and have even had it hit for only 4000 damage (10k usually). Rapid fire also greatly annoys me, since it fully misses what seems like 90% of the time and if I get to close, it shoots right through my target as if they’re not there.

I didn’t fully test everything, but it seems like stats from traits, runes and sigils don’t have any effect. The amulet however does, but any stats that modify your damage doesn’t seem to apply. I’m guessing your armor rating matters, which explains why some people take less damage than others, even though they’re the same class (ie, heavy gunner). I’ve also heard that certain traits apply to some of the skills.

The other odd thing I’ve seen is I was doing a 1vs1 with a heavy gunner who suddenly started healing for like 5% every second once they got below 10% health. Considering there were no pickups or other players around, I’m guessing something else is also a factor.

Doing this as an elementalist, I only had 13k health.

IDK about hitpoints, but the point of the game is to bring present back to the base, and scout is both better present carrier and interceptor.

And a supporter is a far better interceptor and runner because icy ground forces the carrier to drop the present. Just run in and steal it. If anyone follows, drop the present and do it again, or place a wall, or heal yourself. All the scout can really do is stealth and pick it up, which can be good, but overall, it’s not.

ya heavy gunners regen health while in combat.and thats the reason why you sometimes feel like you hit him and he immediately heals

am i the only 1 who thinks that heavy gunner is op.I mean while i use heavy gunner i kill like 30 ppl with no problem but when i put on scout i die in 5 min.Tell me what you think
and also i wanna ask is spvp trait builds affecting in any way snowball mayhem cuz on my thief i got 18k hp and 26k on my warrior

im 100% for expansion.Anet needs to stop with this living world bullkitten and start making proper content.instead of stuff like adding new classes,zones skills,interesting stuff etc they just add some stupid events and skins.i dont know about you guys but im sick of this lack of content, im sick of having 5 skills as total(all other elite and etc skills suck,only signets have some use),im sick to daily grind some stupid achievments and im sick to play for getting new skins.even the coolest zones in the map are locket.even the classes lack of content i dont think its fair elementalists or engineers to have 2-3 weapons of choice.the quests are repetitive and boring its same thing.kill bears until the bar fills up,kill this kill that its like im playing monster hunting mmo.

Hello i got a few questions.1st:why sometimes with my thief i got chaos armor buff?Im not a mesmer.2nd is the total makeover kit also affecting all face details or only height and physique and 3rd how is the gem—>gold and gold—> gem system working.More people turning gold into gems -higher price or something?This is the 1st topic i create so pls help me.

I really want back cantha and elona and what is most important i want the skills to be like in gw1 there you had a HUGE choice from skills and builds and in gw2 you got only 5 skills per weapon.ANET and NCSOFT should stop with this living world events bullkitten and start to updating and adding real content not only some events that bores you after 2 days.We waited 1 year for lfg tool that isnt even working yet and we still wait for new weapon skills.Im sorry but i dont think this is fair.And im pretty sure that they already know that we all want cantha and elona back because this topic has 33 pages and its still going.

im gonna write again to show my support for cantha and elona this 2 continets were great.shing jae island was my favourite place in the whole guild wars 2 and the morbid story of nightfall was just brilliant.I also hope they will return old classes like dervish,ritualist,paragon.

to have cantha and elona back would be so awesome.And i hope if they bring them back to add classes like dervish or ritualist they were 1 of my favourite things in gw1.I just cant imagine how epic it will be.
