forgot to mention that my max gpu load was 32%, so my gpu doesn’t get used to it’s capacity. Looks like it’s deffo cpu related, which is bottlenecking.

I never expected to run anything at max, but having less than 9fps in WvW is something i would not expect, esp when everything is set to low/off. Shame that they advertised with certain minimum specifications, when in reality, having better than the minimum, the game is pretty much unplayable (wvw).

Since i bought the game just for that, and i’m not able to play that, it’s just a waste of money and unacceptable.

wvw is pretty much unplayable for me, so i’m forced to stop playing the game. I’m aware that i don’t have a top notch pc, the processor is the bottleneck. But having 9 fps on low settings and everything turned off is pretty crap.

Amd athlon x4 @ 3.2ghz (biggest bottleneck, amd crap for mmo’s in general and even gaming), 8gig ddr3, ati hd 6870.

No, you don't get to play "however you want."

lastly, you can’t make a game and then put arbitrary limitations on the players because you want them to “play with all of it”, if someone only wants to play one aspect of the game, and you are forcing them to play parts they don’t enjoy just because you think it’s better than something is wrong with that designer. you don’t punish people for playing the content they enjoy. what a good game designer would do is add INCENTIVE to diversify game-play, give people a reason to try multiple aspects of the game WITHOUT punishing them for only playing one, it’s all well and good to get people to try new things, but it’s a whole new cake when you force them to play parts that they don’t enjoy when there are perfectly good parts they do (and it’s not as easy as “go play something else” sure that’s a solution for the player, but it doesn’t help the game get better, and I think ANet will agree with me that it’s always good to make your game better).

Do you also complain if a game like lets say tetris doesn’t have any crafting and you can’t play the game like you want? I know, stupid example right? However, it’s not that different from this game nor any game for that matter.

Have you considered that the Op might be spending his time inside the game playing and not sitting on the forums spreading negativity?
I assure you that this is made to be much more urgent on the forums- I have not seen anybody complaining about it in the game ever.
Your entire post is hostile, the OP was not however.

Don’t bother argueing with him. He’s a person who thinks his views are right and others are wrong. Only his views can “save” the game aka do as i tell or…

He didn’t even get the point the OP was making. One look at these forums and you can see him and 3 others repeating the same stuff over and over again in numerous threads.

I think beta players owe the rest of us an apology...

If anyone owes anyone an apology, I think all the people raining down negativity owe the rest of the GW2 community an apology. It’s one thing to complain, but when every forum thread is repeated negativity or every good thread is hijacked, it makes coming to the forums a real pain to deal with.

You cannot even start a thread about enjoying the game without someone trying to turn it around on you. It’s getting quite tiresome.

I completely agree. I keep hoping for the day I can look at the Guild Wrs 2 Discussion forum and see most people chatting about good times and positive things. I would never expect all “negative posts” to go away and I wouldn’t encourage it even. It is that occasional criticism that will keep everyone thinking about the next great thing.

Unfortunately this is quite common these days. I never understood, and i never will, what motivates these kind of people. It just has to revolve solely around their own needs when it comes to design, if not, then just bakitten day in day out.

One look at this forum and you can see 3 or 4 people stating the exact same thing over and over again in numerous threads.

It doesn’t mean that i think the game is perfect or has no bugs, but continueing the same rants over and over again, by the same few people, is getting quite pathetic imo. You don’t have to like certain aspects of the game, but just move on. We get it now, you don’t like certain things, no need to repeat it over and over again in numerous threads.

Ofcourse, when you don’t agree with their views, you’re a fanboy/whiteknight or whatever.

Ever stop to think that pretty well half the population in the game is a kittening bot?

Ah the good old whiners exaggerations, never gets old.

OK,let's both be realistic for a second:

No if’s or but’s, I will NOT play until I can play how I want. Simple.

You are playing a game made by their philosophy and game design, don’t like it, then indeed don’t play. It amazes me to see alot of these self-entitled mmo gamers who feel the need to dictate game designers to change a game that revolves solely around their own needs.

Their philosophy is different, the game design might not be for you, move on perhabs? Just as with many things in life, things are not always what you want them to be. But just stop with the “i want” nonsense, the world doesn’t spin around you.
