is there a point where the community shrinks too small to be salvageable?
in your guys’ opinion – is guild wars already at this tipping point?
that is very very true, population in games comes from the ‘casuals’ games must cater to them and make them feel not intimidated for attempting to play the game before hardcore gets its way.
ELO/custom servers would be good first steps
this is a legitimate concern of mine. i see the same teams over and over every day in tournaments. this leads me to believe that
a. the same people play during the same play hours as me
or
b. the community is very, very small
is there some website that tracks concurrent active unique players? at the moment i feel like no matter what patches bring, the community is hamstrung by how small it is.
i know the stock response is to ‘wait for custom servers’ and see, but do you think that will really make that dramatic of a difference?
love downed state. wish thieves had just the blink and not a 2nd stealth, perhaps a caltrop throw for their #3
paid tournies, can you change your comp mid-tournament still?
for instance, be dps/burst/roam heavy in maps 1 and 2, then switch to 5 bunkers in map 3?

5man team disconnect bug on foefire while other team stays connected… is this a hack? or a bug? it’s happened twice now to us
just to bump this and add an update..
the same bug happened again, we were up by many points, all 5 teammates dc’d and enemy team stayed in game.
this happened both times on foefire.
Myself and teammates were struck by the endless loading screen last night, no screen caps for evidence (because … honestly it’s just not useful).
Also another issue, for the first time ever this happened:
Up 300-10~ish in a game, all 5 teammates get DC’d – but login servers are still up, our pvp instance is still up. all 5 enemy team players are still active & connected and have 3-capped us to pull the game to 300-300~ish. We still win, but they remain utterly silent when we ask them what happened. I’ve seen someone post on this before on the forums asking if this is a hack or not. Any info on this?
why not something like customizable team color templates.. like a team uniform in the NFL
steelers: black/yellow
49ers: red/gold
cowboys: blue/silver(white)
^ match the teams/cap zones to those colors to allow for at least a little bit of customization
Your brain recognizes the contrasting colors way faster then it notices the red text above them. Not even going into the headache infusing color combos that are possible and the additional “distraction” your brain has to deal with during tight combat situations. It is mostly done on a subconscious level afaik, but enforcing color discipline for team play aids situational awareness and prevents any issues coming from “distracting” color combinations.

played many mmo’s, never noticed a body color before a name color
in addition to our original issues, we could develop more iconic “looks” with custom colors.
if developing esports and efame is important to the devs, consider that certain color patterns could be like “jerseys” for popular teams.
I can’t tell if this is a personal preference of mine or the community as a whole dislikes this feature:
I’ve seen a thread here or there with complaints on the red vs blue team colors. It seems like our hard earned dyes and unique color patterns go entirely forgotten thanks to this.
I would prefer that team colors are left out, and instead we could be given an option of team tabards/capes/markers, or simply have color coordinated names. Never do I associate enemy players by their color, I simply look at their name and name plate.
I understand that the colors add legibility for spectators in the match, which you could leave in tact if you so chose to, but why not have this as a toggle-able option for players?
This frustrates me because its such a simple change and its so aesthetically displeasing.

We’re a US West coast based PVP guild, though we casually play other facets of the game, we are primarily focused on tournament based 5v5 play. We have an rich and extensive history of competitive gaming ranging from FPS’s to RTS, to MOBA and MMO. We have found success in every gaming venture we have approached and would be happy to share with you our qualifications and competitive backgrounds in person.
We are currently searching for a player that is flexible with professions but our primary desire would be an exceptionally skilled staff elementalist, necromancer

Play hours: very active, we scrimmage/tourney 6-7 days a week, from the hours of 6pm onward
Age range: 20+ preferred. we are all finishing school or young professionals – we prefer maturity and education in our teammates
Establishment: our core group has gamed together for 10+ years, stability will never be an issue
Desired Qualities:*
Our team is looking for qualities in you that would suggest you would be a good fit long term as a teammate. We would like educated individuals with an eye for critical thinking; people who enjoy practicing, designing and employing new strategies.
