There’s an in-game admin command /gameend that should force the match to end and the arena to restart?

There is a whitelisting feature in the CAs… You can whitelist your guild and only your friends will be able to join.

Also, it’s 20$ only for creating the arena, its 10$/mo for every next month as you buy the Time Tokens.

As for promotion, get your CA a nice name, organize an event on it, promote it in the PVP Events section of this forum and on Guru and you’ll get people playing on it. Of course in-game promotion features would be nice, but for now, that’s what I advise.

I was hoping for 1000~1200 gems for the Starter Kit, but seeing as this is a one-time purchase, 1600 is not that bad. Every next month costs 780gems so around ~10$/10euro which is in-line with other server hosting services. I’d like to see the price of the starter kit go down in the future though. I don’t see why we should pay twice the price of an 1mo extension for creating a new arena.

Also, I belive ArenaNet said that the CAs would not be removed instantly after the time runs out, but rather they’d go into an “inactive” state for some time and would be reactivated once you add more time.

The arena time tokens are used to prolong the existence of the arena they’ve been used in. That is, you don’t need to be the owner of an arena to use tokens to prolong its existence. I haven’t used them myself, but as I understood it, you simply join any CA and use the token.

I agree with you though, arenas really should be between 0 and $5 a month.

I don’t think that’s realistic. There’s a lot of games out there with dedicated servers (kind of what CA are) and the pricing for them is usually between 10-20$/mo for 20 slot servers, with more leaning towards the 20$ mark.

I feel that’s the pricing range that’d be fair when comparing to what other companies hosting dedicated space charge.

For those wondering, I googled the pricing for hosting a dedicated server for games like COD, BF, L4D, Minecraft and a couple of random games.

I would love to get a bank NPC in Heart of the Mists. Most of the PvP consumables are Account Bound, but can’t be sent through mail, thus requiring the use of banks to move them among characters. This makes me have to go through the hassle of going back to PVE to find the NPC. As someone who finds himself constantly playing different characters while playing PvP, I’d really appreciate this feature

Alternatively you could just add a “consumables” tab in the PvP locker
