The game is buy to play, they really don’t set out to keep player retention as high as subscription based games. I like the approach, GW2 is more of a game I can hop in and enjoy casually without feeling the pressure of a second job trying to keep up with the current tier of items with raids and such. Quite surprised to see just how often they do update the game though.
I wouldn’t say the game is failing, but if any game screams for a dungeon finder it’s GW2. The fact classes can cross roles and fill any niche the party needs means no group will be fail just because of it’s structure, but rather the players in it.
Well they appear to be on the ball did they not just release a patch today?’
Yeah, they did. However the Patch broke more than it fixed.
That list was pretty huge bet you can’t name more things “broken” than fixed and I’ll be impressed if you get past two.
I understand the point of the thread but to whine about it right after a patch is just wrong on so many levels. Show some decency.
I’m not one to wine, I enjoy the game and will keep playing. But the last patch messed up jumping in a way that makes it difficult to time yourself. I would’ve rather kept jumping functional and deal without the fixes until they could’ve done them without breaking jump.
I agree but to assume everything will be perfect is kind of whining. Not to mention they IMMEDIATELY addressed and acknowledged that issue so what else do you want?
I never assumed everything would be perfect. It’s just, you know, jumping is a big deal. Not saying I want it now – I can wait. But saying those that dislike the patch are whining is fooling yourself. Jumping being broke is a legitimate complaint.

I nearly lost my dinner looking at those photos. Heartless freaks.
I changed the title to reflect that it is a personal opinion.
It’s clearly not a personal opinion like the above says.
I really wish Arenanet would give the game a coat of TLC across all the existing content before moving on to new things – you can’t build on shaky ground and expect positive results.

This. I’m really finding it difficult to purchase any gems – not because I don’t want to spend the money, but there’s nothing worth getting. I’m a sucker for appearance options.
If a world is “Full” when trying to transfer, is it permanently locked out from having new characters, or does it fluctuate based on how many are logged in and I could maybe transfer over at a dead hour?
