With the new mastery, can the ground targeting circle go red when you have no line of sight/fail like a skill? Several times now I’ve wasted my last charge of the Oakheart’s Essence because I didn’t realise there was a piece of rock in the way and it latched onto that instead, so I ended up nowhere near where I wanted to be.
Love the new map. It’s beautiful and I don’t have a problem with navigation (I only had an issue with one PoI, but that happens all over Tyria…).
I’m reserving judgement on the story until the next episode comes out, as (hopefully) there will be more explanation of what happened. But the big reveal and the change in pace was great and well done (as a sylvari character… not so sure about what it would have been like for humans).
Finally, this new mastery is my favourite thing and now I miss it when I go into other maps! However, I do wish the ground targeting circle went red if you have no line of sight to where you’re going. Several times I’ve wasted my last charge because I didn’t realise there was a little piece of rock in the way and it latched onto that instead (it’s harder to see the trajectory when not in first-person mode).

NPCs aren’t always supposed to fight with you. It could make story missions too easy, especially if the player can just stand back and let the NPCs do all the hard work. I agree that this fight is practically impossible to solo (I tried it for the first time last night and my best attempt got it to ~70%) but I submitted a bug report and apparently NPCs often intentionally don’t help in story missions.
Time for me to make a friend!
I tried this episode yesterday and submitted a bug report, but from the response this may not actually be a bug. Apparently NPCs aren’t always supposed to fight with you or revive you (though they always have with me for big fights like these), so for this episode it might just be that the devs disabled them helping you – maybe it made the fight too easy?
