Stop rewarding servers for winning. This is making the problem worse.

#1. PPT needs to scale down for winning teams the larger the lead (sound familiar diminishing returns?)
#2. Give loosing team larger chest, more gold, wvw boosts, whatever (MORE THAN XP and MF) to keep them motivated to stay in the fight. This will also scale with the match point difference and still keep small skirmishes fair. SCALE THE HELL OUT OF IT. If Blackgate wants to wipe a server to hell and back then the losing teams should still feel somewhat happy about losing (example: I lost but I am kinda rich now!)

Enacting these points will lure people to lower population servers which is something that does not exist right now.

The first point is not enough to balance the servers so I believe the second is necessary. Remember WvW is not a Team vs Team vs Team, it is a City vs City vs City.

No two cities are ever going to have the same amount of people so calling this a tournament or season is just silly. As if the smaller servers could just “muster up the courage and win” because there is a season at stake. This is just common sense. Get yourself together Anet. Respond to your people instead of just ignoring us. Its rude.

The only thing I found in this game that was a real grind was Legendary stuff which was OK with me because it was purely cosmetic. When they introduced Ascended weapons I really liked it but seeing how long and costly it was to produce just one I was majorly turned off. Now we have ascended armor!

The grind of the game has kicked in at full force. If you are a PvE’r then this is not really a big deal but if you play WvW there is a constant disadvantage. This game is starting to sour me. Anet please make this happen.

This could/will make the Superior Runes of Divinity drop in price (good thing). I have throw hundreds of major runes in the mystic toilet and only received one Sup Rune of Divinity.

I want to address the comments that HoD doesn’t belong in bronze.

The first point I want to make is that the very concept of “belonging” to a league is artificial. ANet divided the servers up into arbitrary groups of 6/9/9 based on rank. Somebody is going to be number one in each league but who that is doesn’t mean anything since if they had done 12/12, 9/9/6, 9/6/9, or 6/6/6/6 then things would be radically different.

The second point I want to make is that the bottom silver server is Northern Silver Peaks. The last time HoD faced NSP was in week 31 and HoD was roflstomped. In fact, for the most part every bronze server that went up against NSP has been roflstomped for some time. If HoD had somehow snuck past NSP into silver then the same complaints about a server not “belonging” in bronze would still be made, they would just be aimed at NSP.

My third point is that the during league week 5, Sorrows Furnace lost to HoD by only 50k points. If HoD doesn’t belong in bronze then neither does SF because we’re pretty closely matched. (In league week 6 SF got crushed by over 140k but that’s not representative of the strength of the two servers because SF decided to take it easy that week).

Finally, in non-league weeks 35 through 41 HoD was ranked 18 and that was after slowly clawing its way up from rank 21. In the week immediately prior to the season HoD went up in rank to 17. Given the way Glicko ranking works it’s unlikely HoD could have done anything to jump higher than that.

I know WvW has serious population and coverage imbalances. Outside of this league stuff every server that isn’t Blackgate or Vizunah experiences it. There’s nothing anybody can do about that. All you can do is have good fights and keep improving yourself, your guild, and your server.

Here’s a big “/salute” to every FC and GoM that comes out and does their best in this tough fight. I’ll see you on the field.

Games are fun when you have a chance… no chance here. Not sf’s fault I blame Anet. They need to come up with a way to make things more even across servers. Last week was loads of fun even though we only lost only by a few thousand points in the last hours.

HoD player here. Looked at mos.millenium score and envied your fight. Came to post about it.

meh its just gom and DH focusing us. something I wish servers would do more often but it sucks to be on the receiving end.

o.O Last night, we kept hopping back and forth between bay and hills because we had a zerg from each server on our map… in this close of a matchup, I’d say all three servers will feel focused.

I’m going to back that up with SCIENCE and squiggly lines. Every possible combination of a double-team has already happened with each server taking turns being the victim. FC seems to have gotten hit really bad on that last one, though.

This morning is Gom’s turn. Fun being in 1st place yea? 10 PPT ouch

lolque 100% of my experience on HoDBL is someone scouting your things then calling in FKB or VLK at any sign of a threat. Pretty sure that’s defending. If you changed how you run things let me know so I can get at dat wxp tonight.

HoD does have more #s but it’s not a huge gap over FC. besides reset night, since then it appears only to be about 10-20% more than us. Kaineng are the ones who are outnumbered – kudos to all the KN who stuck around keep up the fight!

Wow they queued all 4? Pretty sure FC has never had that happen. I’m fine with being the underdog and I am fine with being outnumbered. But pretending like your glorious and original commanding ideas like “spreading out” and “each guild defends a borderland” has got you there is a laugh. How quickly you forget your last weeks score young one. Where was this deep and insightful perspective last week for HoD?

No and NO…

Maybe during peak times our numbers are similar, but not during off peak times and that’s when HoD gets most of it’s score. During off peak times sometimes FC gains ground, but most of the time it’s HoD that gains ground which is why you’re in 1st.

We’ll see how HoD does when the pve crowd disappears. I can tell a lot are pve by the low ranks and by how soft they are.

I totally agree HoD has more numbers and that is the sole reason why they are winning. This whole blab about how they are better spread out is just funny. The only thing that ends up ruining our BL is those large 50+ zergs from HoD. If it helps you sleep better at night you can believe whatever you like to though.

I have both Guardian and Warrior but I prefer guard almost all the time in WvW.

Bursting tooltip is bugged, correct should be +6% Critical Damage.

Which means it’s just a really really bad version of force.

Sigil of Force (5%) is “Direct Damage”.
Sigil of Bursting (6%) is “Condition Damage”.

Condition damage is calculated on a per tick basis. Direct damage is calculated on contact. Two very different things. Do not listen to this comment.

They need to stop trying to manipulate the market and let it take its course. It was very evident that ecto was trending down and dust was trending up. So I sold ecto and farmed/forged dust. Now that work is wasted. Whats the point in trying to act smart in the game when all they do is screw it up.

Home is Ferguson Crossing and I have guested on BlackGate and Jade Quary and none have the lost and found items in Wayfare. WTF Anet!
