Skills are only split for spvp. Everything else falls under one category.
This is not true. Some examples:
Epidemic won’t effect targets with resistance in WvW only.
Retaliation uses spvp numbers on dmg, not pve.
There is some more i have no 100% proof of, but afaik True shot and Gunflame got nerfed in wvw only by 20% some time ago.
On necro: It would be problematic if a “full dmg built” nec would deal alot of condition dmg, but it’s full tanks building trailblazer and still having that much burst dmg.
This is meant to be just a reminder, to whats clear und obvious to anyone playing WvW.
As to quote the February 22nd patch:
“Deathly Chill: Increased bleed stacks to 3 for 5 seconds in PvE only.”
Well it changed the trait for WvW too.
One necro applying 20-40 bleed in incredibly short amounts of time when running the right build (which is only accessible in WvW/Pve) is way too much power for someone there to corrupt boons and apply soft cc/weakness. Ofc this multiplies with more necros in the enemy team, making condi nec about every third class i see in small scale AND zerg gameplay.
If you dont believe me, look for yt vids about the case (there is this guy which keeps on uploading vids titled: “reminder that deathly chill is broken” with him bursting grps of enemies without any effor), ask in WvW team chat whats the strongest Grandmaster trait in the game, or ask any dedicated WvW player, and they’ll all tell you the same:
Deathly chill breaks WvW.
(for any l2p suggestions, the condi nec issue forces any build i create to spec for maximum condition cleanse, just in case im fighting another condi nec, this is neither fun nor balanced, and is way too much effect on the entire game mode, applied by one spec/class)
So again the reminder: Pls fix the deathly chill trait in WvW, and make it apply to Pve only as stated.

The zeal trait Wrathful Spirit does not apply retaliation to allies anymore. It used to work prior to the last Update. Just applies retaliation to self, not to allies anymore. Retaliation is applied when aegis is ending AND when being popped. None to allies in any way or game mode.
As it used to do so, is not broken when doing so, and the change is not documented, i suppose it is a bug.

Spiteful Spirit should apply 3s of retaliation for every target hit but instead applies none.
Unholy Feast got buffed a few patches ago so it converts 2 boons into conditions.
Spiteful Spirit casts Unholy Feast but is still using the old Unholy Feast Version where it only corrupts 1 Boon.
