Yeah I’m calling BS on the OP also. In order to successfully do the event with an alt, you had to join a party that was apart of it. Then you had to go back and forth to LA in hopes that you would get on the same server as the group, with the event taking place. Finally, you had to actually run to the area with the chest, which is no small feet.

I had thought it was great, especially the second time.

I was able to complete the event, but I would actually support them running it again, repeating within a 24 hour window. They could just put a permanent cooldown on the chest for a one time looting, so you couldn’t farm it.

Why should people do lower lvl fractals? I didnt feel any difficulty difference between 1 and 7 (did all the way with the same group). So its just a waste of time to start with lower lvls until it becomes noticeable harder.

I think if those that qualify for higher levels of fractals, take the time to do it with people who aren’t as high, it will make things better for them in the long run. Mixing in a few lower level runs, here and there, will ensure that more people will be available to do higher level runs later on.

The problem I see currently is that many people who are on higher level fractals don’t want to bother helping others or do lower levels at all. On the flip side you have many more people who are just starting out with fractals, and they have a bad experience because they have no idea how to do it. Then after failing they chalk it up as a horrible experience and stop running.

Ultimately everyone needs to be more patient and helpful to each other.

Is this able to be passed by entirely? Some of us don’t have perfect reflexes anymore, and after almost an hour, I’m done with it. Not all of us are 17 anymore here, this is just ridiculous. Glad if you liked it, but me, it’s borderline game breaking. I’m seriously regretting my purchase right now.

You regret buying this game over a jumping puzzle that has no effect on this event or the overall game? I’m in my thirties and did the puzzle..

I finally got some sweet redemption from not finishing the clock tower. The skipping stones were epic, and every time I thought I made it to the end, there was plenty more to go lol.

If you have no need for Karma right now, then I would forget you have until there is something you want (ie: future holiday event, game expansion, etc.)

I was saving mine for the legendary, but then I discovered the Armageddon Gear and blew it all on that lol (252,000 karma)

I absolutely sucked at the tower and gave up.. but with that said, I think its awesome. I’m really impressed with the variety of things they gave us to do for this holiday event!

Thank you for the event Arenanet! There were some issues here and there, but overall it was great! It makes me excited for other holiday events!

Coincidentally, another guy i ran with tonight got Arachnophobia and salvaged, I KID YOU NOT! He said he was trying to get ecto’s (it gave him none!) and I told him he just lost about 30gold. He kept telling me it was probably only worth 2 gold lol. Poor kitten.

I was lucky for a change. As soon as the initial event started, I ran it with a pug, but none of us knew about the chest at the end. On the second time I did it, I was able to get Arachnophobia!
