I’m assuming it must have been something wrong with the visual studio debug. Your code should (and does) work.

Here’s a JS fiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/eq8wb3t0/2/

Max zoom of the WvW map is now 6 (instead of 7). It’s best not hardcoding this (like in the example) but use the values returned from https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/continents/2.

Thanks for this!

I started having an issue with incorrect coord locations for the tile service for the WvW Continent (id: 2) about 2 days ago for a website I’m in the works of making. I figured that it was a self-created bug since I had done a bit of work on it the day before.

Upon further investigation, it appears to happen to the JS fiddle example on the wiki as well:

http://jsfiddle.net/CRRGC/1092/

Notice that the points of interest are positioned correctly, but it looks like the map its self has zoomed in.

The issue appears to have come and gone over the past 2 days, with it being fixed for a few hours then incorrect again a few hours later. It also appears to be different at varying zoom-levels.

Has something changed?

Thanks,

try Tarnished Coast

I was thinking about going to TC, but I heard that a majority of people from SoR went to TC and I’m a bit afraid of the same WvW implosion that happened here will happen there too and I’ll have to get another server transfer.

I play mostly WvW, and I currently reside in SoR. You can probably see the problem here. I haven’t played since september of last year, and I joined in august, and recently came back due to friends joining the game, so I’m still relatively new to the game so I’d like a server that is:

- WvW focused
- Friendly to pugs/new players

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Yes, I have a motherboard picked out. If you want to see my entire build at it’s current state, it’s here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/potatofarms/saved/2fPQ

Note on the memory: I only am buying 4gb of DDR3-1333 because I have another stick of 4gb already that I can use to run 8GB in dual channel.

As for upgrades, I already plan on upgrading my monitor within the next year. I’m hoping that the video card and processor will last 2 years before I have to upgrade, and by then I’ll probably have the same budget that I have now or maybe even a little bit higher. I’m a poor college student. :P

Thanks for the input! Do you think it will go over 1gb if I get a 1600×900 or 1920×1080 monitor?

Hello, I am going to be building a new gaming computer. The main game I’m going to be playing on it will be Guild Wars 2, however I also have plans for maybe playing Skyrim and Far Cry 3.

My Budget is $550-600 dollars.

My biggest dilemma right now would be between 1gb of vram and 2gb of vram, right now I’m going to be playing on a 1280×1024 monitor which 1gb of vram should be plenty for, however I have plans to buy a 1600×900 or 1080p monitor in the future which is where I am a bit worried if the 1gb of vram will be sufficient.

I’ve come up with 3 options:

  • Option 1:
    CPU: Intel Core i5-3350p
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850 1gb GDDR5

This option I take the i5 because I’ve read that GW2 is a pretty CPU heavy game. So I sacrificed a step down from the 7870 and 1gb of vram to afford the step up on the processor.

  • Option 2:
    CPU: Intel Core i3-3220
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 2gb GDDR5

This option I took the i3 to be able to take the 7870 with 2gb of vram. However I am worried that this CPU might bottleneck my GPU or GW2 since GW2 is CPU heavy.

  • Option 3:
    CPU: AMD FX-6300
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 2gb GDDR5

I am still unsure about the FX-6300 vs the i3-3220 so I included this option just in case. I’ve heard that intel processors are better (and especially for GW2).

So, my main question is: Which one of these options would give me the best performance for gaming (mainly GW2 and WvW performance).

Thanks!

Alright, cool! That’s helpful to know. I just bought the game and have had some pretty bad experiences with being new to other MMOs.

Do you know anything about the community of Sanctum of Rall?

Thanks for the help, by the way

I just bought this game and am a complete newbie. I plan on doing mostly PvE and some World vs World, so I was wondering before I select my permanent server: Which server is better for World vs World and PvE, Fort Aspenwood or Sanctum of Rall?

Thanks!
