Rod of Death: True and sad story. more or less happend on my server too.
allthough i have to say season one (in my opinion) united our server to one cause (winning) and all tried to work together, defend stuff, scout and siege, upgrade, make coordinated attacks with 2-3 groups against one enemy and so on.
BUT: 2-4 hour queues, monster skill-lags, a lot of random people doing i dont know what…
the highlight about this topic was today in early morning hours (about 1am GMT+1) when we were outmanned on own borderland and called for help and people coming to help us said they cannot react because we have a queue… what? oO

this bug hit me too yesterday, so well… i guess we have to live with it.
hope such bugs get fixed before they move those tasks to the dailies (maybe they should test their daily achivements?).
this is a long known bug and which had after sending in many videos, screenshots, descriptions and stuff not been able to be reproduced by the developers until it happened to an arenanet-employee. after that they said they can reproduce it and are working on it to get fixed.
this was (as far as i can remember) about 2 months ago…
so… its getting fixed.. when its fixed.

if so they should do this every night. i dont mind 10 minutes downtime for lagfree play.
no. yesterday evening for me was the first time sincwe around a month to play in primetime with no skill lag at all.

i am on piken. and since three weeks we had heavy skill lags in the prime time.
and after the patch it got like real crazy.
today: first time with no lag at prime time!

Home borderland spawn point.
i guess he/she means if you have 20 ranks on one char and 30 on another you should have 50 (on your account) and can distribute 50 on each character at your pleasure (each character can spend 50 points in the traits he want).
Great fights so far on SFR BL. Both Elona and Piken had groups inside our Garrison but after a very long fight we managed to keep it, big props to SPRT and FG (very impressive as always), to CoN who cancelled their GvG to come help, to OSC and to all the pugs who helped! Shame about the skill lag tho :P

Also 20 minutes before the takeover of your hills was a big thing. never seen two trebs on hills outer wall firing at inner wall (but im not that much into running with big groups so maybe thats normal when two groups of about 50-60 people clash against each other)
I too had this experience.
I set a cata blueprint near the south wall at the ne tower to sneakily take it back.
My group started building said catapult. The guy finishing the cata got a message like “you cannot place siege weapons here” and poof the finished cata was gone.
3 minutes our commander came buy, built two rams and the tower was ours.
I think if something cant be built somewhere it should be checked BEFORE putting supplies in and waste blueprints like it is/was always.
Also I don’t understand how ANet (as DevonCarver stated) handles players with buff trying to build a siege weapon. Why is a correctly placed siege weapon/blueprint despawned if a not allowed player tries to assist in building it? he just shouldn’t be able to do anything…
If someone has said buff on (bug or not) he shouldn’t be allowed to interact (and activly causing a despawn) with unbuilt siege.
+1 for daily dolyak escort (as there is daily supply-dolyak slayer already it is only fair).
AND +1 for giving guild influence when finishing dolyak escort as it currently ONLY gives wvw-xp and that only IF the dolyak gets attacked and you defend it.
Edit: And the idea about repairs only to be done by workers is a valid thing to ponder about.

As a big consumer of siege and a long distance runner for the supply to build it, I’d love for there to be some sort of visible sign that a siege will despawn.
I would appriciate a visible sign for when a siege weapon will be despawned too.
maybe a buff for the placeable sieges or a extension to the nameplate like “Superior Arrow Cart (13m)”.
It would make the “Refresh”-runs a bit faster and also would help to see if unwanted sieges (like rams on the roof of a tower supply camp… oO) are being refreshed activly by “bad” people.

I enjoyed the (felt like) 45 minute battle for cragtop tower at piken square borderlands at around 10:30 i guess.
We were not so many people there and our commander struggled with us
you did great in testing out various locations to place sieges and had like 5 runs from different directions with different sieges (the last one a treb north of cragtop g).
we never managed to wipe you and were constantly trying to have enough supplies and sneak through your lines to build decent siege inside the tower.
luckily for us a ps-guildraid coming through ended it.

And in general: Please! Stop this constant verbal attacks. It is boring.
When a keep comes under attack and someone immediately buys the merchant upgrade, thus instantly draining the keep of a lot of supply that could have been used for defenses/repairs, that’s a “dumb upgrade”.
Who would do such a thing? oO
If you do this you knowingly hurt the server… oh my god. Has this really happend?
And yes, some upgrades (concerning only “nscs” because there is no logic in supplies) should only cost money but also take time to finish – so you cant rush them through.

WvW currently rewards aggressive playstyle with xp, loot, karma and money.
Caretaking playstyle – which is in my opinion also important to have a healthy “kingdom” is more or less a money- and time-consumer with minimal rewards.
Building upgrades can only be achived by spending money, which you normally dont get back inside wvw (playing the “defensive/protective” style).
also securing dolyaks and running from camp to keep/tower to camp to keep/tower to repair a succesfully defended objective (the mentioned job left behind by offensive playing commander/zerg) also should be rewarded somehow (beyond the fact, that you bring the doly to its target or don’t instantly lose the keep because you didnt repair it).
So: Repairing, dolyak-securing and especially ordering (and if it must be waiting for it to finish until it gets rewarded) upgrades needs to have a bit more incentive for players.
