I’ve felt one of the core abilities of a mesmer in GW1 and GW2 has been to punish a player for an action, i. e., a confusion mesmer. In GW1 players would remove the condition or wait for it to expire. It seems that the current meta in GW2 WvWvW players are bad and don’t know what conditions are affecting them. I have to wonder if this thread would exist if players watched their condition bar.
I’ve been playing Osicats Mist build but also trying Glamour and Condition builds resulting in this hyrid setup: http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/mesmer/?4.0|c.1g.h17.d.1g.h2|6.1c.h16|1b.7i.1b.7i.1b.7i.1b.7i.1b.7i.1b.7i|3v.d16.2w.0.3w.0.1b.0.1b.0.1b.0|0.k00.k00.0.u000|0.0|31.39.38.3d.0|e
I’m not sure what direction to go with the accessory slots coming up on a Laurel purchase and am seeking some advice from the forums.
I would say I’m a good player but seem to do better with this current setup than Osicats Mist build (more kills). Could it be just bad players just attack through confusion?
Areas I’m pretty firm on:
1. 0/20/20/0/30 seems to be the best setup for me
2. Weapons
Areas for input:
1. Runes of Lyssa seem to be a nice reset, but not sure about the precision
2. Amulet and accesssory slot
3. Armor
4. Sigils
5. Slot skills
6. Traits – Illusionary Persona (can’t seem to get away from it, I find it so useful to finish or get my elite to cast via distortion)
Thanks,
QP
If no clones are up and you shatter for distortion or diversion does the effect happen?
I really find this useful for finishing or interupting and spec 30 into Illusions for the Illusionary Persona trait, but limits the build options available as I run more DPS versus condition damage.
