I PvP and WvW roam most of the time when i play this game and i have come up with a pretty good build for me so i just want to share it with fellow Necros.

You don’t have to do everything exactly like the build it is just what i find my self looking at majority of the time i’m roaming. Things you can change are like the gear you can go to Dire which is really good in small groups and of course the utilities like the Signet of Spite, also i good thing to do is if your with another heavy condie applying friend is to use Epidemic.
This works for me so you should give it a try

Is condition necro viable for WvW roaming? I’ve been using this build (http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNArYWjMaV6ZaKb87JEJFXzzA9w90FQMSRxQMA-jgDBINgYNBCvJZ00CiUBJLDqIasFRRrKKs1XBRvATlKpKWCyeFCy+AKrSBAzaA-e) and i feel like im doing something wrong because its not being very effective as far as damage goes. Then again, i’ve been running into thiefs left and right so cond dmg doesnt even work.

But i wanted some feedback also because i feel like my condition damage is low. I max around 1400 condition damage with 100%+ duration Am i running the right stats for WvW roaming? Are my traits good or can i do better? What about runes and signets? I do have an extra scepter with a +10 condition damage on kill sigil i use to farm stacks. I appreciate any feedback given. OK, so I’m messing around with a new necro (Mad Skullz, feel free to say hi). I’m using soldier gear (cos like, it’s teh pimpingest) and I’m doing some work to try and understand which runes/build to use.

Toughness and power

Power and tough/vit

RotV are my favourite runeset, despite the requirement to strip and re-gear after each death to reset the 2, 4 and 6 rune bonus. That 3s mistform can often bridge the gap into another DS. Svanir serves a similar function, but is much, much stronger (5s is a lot better than 3s).

So – +240 power (for the power build), or +400 toughness for the toughness build? Though the power build also has Close to Death, 400 toughness does insane things in WvW. Also the Svanir runes… phew. A last ditch DS is amazing.

Hello everyone, I imagine most of you know me already. For those who don’t, I have hosted But of Corpse, a Necromancer podcast, for about 9 months, “lead” the all-necro guild (also called But of Corpse) and am an active poster around here. I wanted to update whoever still follows BoC, and inform any new people about what has been going on and some plans for the future.

First off, the Guild is still “alive” but doesn’t really do anything at the moment. Anyone is welcome to join (NA or EU), just PM me on the forums or in game and I can invite you. If you would like to organize all-Necro type things, I can give you privs to do that. As it is now I don’t generally have the time to organize fun things to do, although I would love to.

On to the podcast. We are currently on a short break, as I move houses to a new room to go to university. This is why we’ve missed the last two weeks, will miss this upcoming week, and may miss the next one. We aren’t gone, but I’ll be too busy to actually put the podcast together. That said, when we come back, I hope to get the community much more involved in what is going on with a weekly forum thread to get ideas and feedback.

As for a general idea, the schedule of the upcoming podcasts we do will (generally) be:
1) Patch
2) Minions (likely multi part)
3) An overview of weapons – like we did with traits
4) An overview of utilities – see above

When the next episode gets released, I’ll open a new thread where you can keep track of what’s going on week by week and give feedback, and also the weekly subject threads for the next podcast.
