Careful, changing os willy nilly can delete all of your files. That’s why you create a new partition.

Hey are you running 32 bit windows? That was my problem i just fixed it by starting a new partition on my hd. Look up windows media creation tool and switching to 64 bit from 32 bit. Your client leaks memory until it crashes probably 1 or 2 hours after you start.

Hey, I might be late to this but I just figured it out. Download Microsofts Media creation tool and create a dvd or USB boot to it and create a new partition on your hd. Install windows 64 bit and you are done. Now you can keep your old files and old 32 bit windows and have 64 bit for gw2. It’s time to change to 64 bit anyway.

I know there is going to be a general disgust for any type of change.
However, the “world linking” with a 40 man wvw community from ET to the T1 heavy que’d BG is not conducive to a productive experience. ET is used to getting away with un-optimized groups playing small battles with zero ques. If we wanted to play on more elite servers many of us would have transferred off. In fact, many of the primary competitive guilds left ET about 2 years ago for a “more-interesting” experience.

With that said, BG doesn’t want ET here because we will use their precious ques for un-optimized zero experience’d for large combat groups. What benefit does ET get from guesting on BG? we don’t get the ranking, we lose because we are a small server on a large server. Our representation preceeds us. We are small, and causal, but we own that, we thrive on that representation. We never asked to be grouped with a competitive world like Black Gate (BG)

I propose an alternative, let the T1 worlds duke it out as they always have. There they can be as elite as they feel. The causal servers like ET AR and IOJ can be grouped up with other T1 or perhaps T2. On second thought perhaps the guild leaders of the worlds can be consulted or maybe vote on whom they would like to be linked to.

One has to wonder why it was necessary in the first place for world linking, who wanted it?

Balance is a critical feature of Guild Wars. This T1+T8 group is so far removed from that concept its befuddling to try to understand the point behind the linking.
