So I was playing around with these traits and think I may have found a bug. Regular phantasms get 6 seconds of retaliation from Persisting Images, but the Defender created by Mental Defense only get 3 seconds. Is this an intended result or an error?

Tested it, I don’t see this bug. Any advice on recreation, or might you retest it yourself?

Yes, just tried it again with the same results. I am using the illusory riposte from sword off hand as my block to create the Defender and have been testing in on grub’s underneath the great tree in Verdant Brink.

Hi folks! I was curious if anyone had tested out the synergy between these two traits? Does the Phantasmal Defender with Retaliation reflect some of the damage it absorbs from you back to the source? I tried doing a search around, but couldn’t find an answer to this particular question. I’m currently at work so I’m unable to test this for myself. Thanks!

I completed exploring Verdant Brink last night and did not receive any rewards either. Is there a work around to this issue? Are people submitting tickets? I was really hoping to finish my specialization collection.

Completed Verdant Brink on my mesmer last night. I had 100% Tyria completion. I hope a fix comes soon as I would like to finish my ascended shield.

I’ve currently been running a shatter/condi build in HoT and have been loving it. It looks a little something like this

I’d welcome feedback on it if anyone has any, especially on runes/sigils. I’ve been pumping out nice damage and really enjoying the play style. Mostly use the scepter/shield, but swap to staff for defensive/more aoe needs.

The portal out of Fractals of the Mist from Dessa’s Lab still says, “Gateway to Lion’s Arch” instead of, “Gateway to Gendarran Fields”. Of course, since we’re in the mists, Dessa could always think her portal always goes to Lion’s Arche. xD

Great fights so far in the match everyone! KN, you guys have some amazing response time in your borderlands. Every time we’d push/portal into your Garrison you were always there within minutes. Lots of epic fights around the NW camp and tower tonight as well. Very enjoyable. =) Thanks!

Thanks for the fun fights in your Bay tonight, BP. I know I personally had a lot of fun telling folks to leave the waypoint open while we ran around destroying all the outer walls and gates. Your BURN and WAR groups really gave it your all combatting us. It was nice. Props to both guilds. And apologies for any I didn’t mention. I just recall those two off the top of my head.

PS: We never intended on taking Bay. Just wanted to break down as many walls/gates as we could

I REALLY wish you could do that. I’ve had that thought for quite a while. Tonight I was lucky enough to receive two ascended rings from my two dailies. Unfortunately, I have no use for either of them. I’d give them to my alts, but my alts already have ascended rings waiting. I’ve been very lucky with rings. One thing I don’t ever seem to get enough of, however, are the mist essences to infuse them. The RNG has been unkind to me in that regard. Since there are alternative means to getting the ascended jewelry now it would be nice if there was an alternative means to get some mist essences as well for the upgrades.

Thoughts? Opinions? I think letting us get rare materials would be too much, but just a chance at some type of condensed mist essence, even the basic vial, seems like it’d be worth more than 4 silver to a vendor.

As others have mentioned the squad functionality is currently too low for it to ever be a viable solution for commander chat suppression. I would love to see an actual solution presented for this issue.

I must say I’ve had a wonderful time so far this week. Thanks to all the Yak’s Bend and Crystal Desert folks for putting up a great fight! As a new commander in WvW it’s been great to actually test my skills against other skilled opponents. Here’s to more fun over the next few days of this match up!

The only thing I take issue with about this change is the fact that with the vein no longer being rich, there’s no reason to have a champion guarding it. A veteran, sure. A champion, what purpose does he serve now? The risk no longer justifies the means.

Personally I’ve always thought this guy had some ties to Grenth due to all the horned skulls on his chains and what not. Also, with Wintersday coming up it reminded me that the holiday is associated with Grenth and winter in Tyria is called the “season of the colossus”. Thoughts on some kind of connection there?

Whoever said rainbow’s weren’t masculine should take a look at my mesmer! ;-)
