have an idea regarding this bard specialization idea and how that would interact with the clones mechanism; to keep it simple:
- Bard has access to powerfull songs called hymns
- 1 hymn is organized in 3 verse ( all 3 verse must be sung to complete the hymn)
- each clone can sing 1 different verse
- once you have 3 clones up ( if they stay alive long enough) the hymn can be complete and activated.
– those hymns should have a large area effect, shattter skills could be used to activate the effect of the hymn.

Have you done Dragon Stand meta event yet? Cause what you say isn’t exactly correct but there is a problem with the story in that it doesn’t tie into the map meta events from auric onwards very well, if at all.

I just finished HOT yesterday, which left me a bittersweet taste in the mouth…

I don’t really like the way our main character is turning into that all powerfull all wise being thay can almost single handle everything: even an elder dragon!
it feels way over the top.
Some people complained previously about their “spotlight” being stolen, craving to be the one and only center of attention… well there you have it, you are now Beyonce! you run the world!

In that regard i actually prefered Zhaitan fight: it made sense, that to defeat such a huge force of nature like an elder dragon, the coordonated effort of an army ( weakening the dragon, war weapons, tons of soldiers joining the final fight….) was necessary. I felt part of a team with people just as strong as me that i can look up to.

Then now , Mordremoth which is supposedly stronger than Zhaitan, is defeated almost exclusively by the main character…an elder dragon that wiped out ancient powerfull races: it all seem too much. Anet i think went overboard when it comes to boosting the ego of certain players and i have trouble taking the story seriously.

Now i know that the hero is being accompanied by others like Canach , Marjory and co but they dont seem to do much aside from following me around like pets: i am so much stronger than them and way above them , that i can’t really take them seriously anymore. Tone it down.

Now Traeharne death: no surprise everybody saw it coming , it made sense story wise for himto die at this point given his position ( firstborn, Pale Tree favorite, killer of Zhaitan….) and the fact that he is a sylvari. But as my favorite character, i was pretty sad: i have been with him the longest ( he was alredy fighting alongside us during the emotional Claw island battle, and even before if you played sylvari), and he was an endearing character he seemed real.
However, the way he died was very cruel: him being thrown around like a rag doll, his body turned into some monstruosity, and having his head exploded in an atrocious way. On top of that after his death all characters are like “Kumbaya My Lord” not even affected or aknowledging poor Traeharne’s death: what an humiliation, he didn’t deserve that

Now the good stuff because i don’t want to be all negative:
- the music: very beautiful and full of emotion, i often found myself stopping just to listen to it in awe.
- Tarir didn’t disappoint probably one of the most beautiful location in Tyria.
- Canach: i like how he talks back to other characters, he is very slick with his mouth and without him the group often seemed like a bunch of carebears.

I am done ! and that was way too long.

Like a traumatized and abused victim, i am waiting, in the corner of an empty room, rolled down on the floor , sweating and biting my fingers with anxiety, staring at the door with consuming fear expecting at any moment , my persecutor to bring the next brutal nerf on me.

what have you done to me ?!

Oh my unfortunately our fears were right…Condition mesmers have been teased and then put back in their place in a slap! Why can’t the devs be more open about what they are doing, those stealthy nerfs are difficult to diggest. Do you think that other classes will receive the same treatment?

I hope that if they really do apply those 2 big last minutes changes, that it will be confirmed openly and officially by the devs…..i don’t know , or maybe just a red post or something.

So basically we know that:
- conditions on clone death are being removed

and it seems that :
- MtD is being nerfed
- confusing combattant is being removed

I am concerned for my condition mesmer now; we might have a lot of troubles keeping up with the other classes. I also don’t understand why some of the devs seem like they don’t communicate with each other: how is it that 1 dev take a decision, and then another dev comes behind and after giving a simple look undo/modify that change just like that.

No, but it might be a hint at a new Mastery. Something that, if you have it, allows you more options when talking to some NPCs, because you can tell when they’re not telling you the truth or hiding something.

Oh yeah , i didn’t think about masteries, it does seem like it would fit the mastery system more.

I never understood and will never understand all the hate that Trahearne is receiving. He is one of the few characters i grew attached to, i find his story and personality very interesting and original, having the burden of carrying such a difficult task as cleansing Orr, feeling that it is too much for his shoulders, but still unable to run away from it. Once he realizes that he is not alone in this , and that he has friends along the way by his side helping him, he starts to open up…..He seems like a pretty “real” character for me story wise.
I would be very disappointed if he were to be killed off just to appease the complains . It would mean that as long as there complains the story can be stretched and modified constantly.

People are starting to take this Cantha thing way too seriously and personally; remember this is not Earth , this is a fantasy world, this is a game.

Because to be honest my character seem really in pain 0__0 i wonder how she can endure such an ordeal!

Here’s my main character. Was attempting a little bit more mature set to her features than most of the faces allow, as well as tried to tie in some Luxon heritage.

i want to give you a 9/10 because your character looks rather confident and fierce, and i like it.

Here is my main character, she is a mesmer, when i made her i didn’t have any look in mind that i wanted to achieve , i just played around with the options and tried to make her look good, and she ended up like that

the personal story is what hooked me up with the game! actually when i first bought the game until i reached lvl 80, gw2 was pretty much like an RPG for me as all i was doing was personal story and leveling up in order to reach the next phase of the personal story.

I really dived into the story and grew attached to some of the characters that you meet during the journey, actually it was only when i completed the personal story that i started using GW2 as an MMO lo.

Now i can’t wait for the personal story to be extended.

I find Traharne quite attractive! How could i hate hate him?

I don’t understand as well people who complain about him “stealing their spotlight”: i think that those people are too self centered and want absolutely to be the center of attention no matter what.
Seems like they only enjoy something if they get all the glory.

With Trahearne i really felt like i was part of a team, and that my best friend was fighting by my side. The threat given by the dragon is so gigantic, did you really expect that your main character was going to take care of it all by himself like a boss? that’s would be not believable at all.
The main story shows that to achieve great things we need to be united and make everybody work together, and we are just a part of that big movement among others.

but…. but…. I thought that.. any incoming expansion would be free for those who already bought the game…

SBI, you already outnumber us by a lot, i don’t think that it is necessary to camp our spawn zone in our borderland, even putting a ballista right at our door -_-

hi, we are having a lot fun fighting right now in SBi,
we waited so long for you guys to confront us at this tower, however something weird happened.

A guildie and i was fighting this guy from the guild named [Fox], we manage to put him into down state, then my guildie finishes him but nothing happens (he is still in down state still alive) then i finish him 3 times in a row ( the full animation shows up, i am not interrupted) but nothing happens as well (he is still alive), then his teammates come and rezz him. Later on we fight him again, but as soon as his health reach about 5% ( as seen on the screenshot) all attacks started to miss and then he just pop out. I hope that you guys will be doing something about it.

i want a focus mainhand !
and yeah fans or harps (i am not talking about the legendary focus: probably the worst legendary available).

I am running full soldier gear, with rune of the Dolyaks: needless to say that i almost only play in wvwvw, where i am mostly needed for my utilities and for the fact that my clones bewilder my team’s opponents: so i have to stay alive.

i have been hiding SMC for more than 1 hour omg it was really boring.

today the big zerg and their army of golem was out 0_0.

well compared to what kaineng had to face back in September when we was constantly every week the last of all servers (remember the eternal match up : Devona Rest/Ferguson Crossing/Kaineng), the current situation is not that dramatic.

But it is not because we are losing that i will give up, that’s too easy to show up only when the winds are in your favor; when people are part of a real team they lose and they win together.

By the way who was that TC ele, next to south-west gate of KNBL garrison?

Also, sometimes, while using blink i end up being warped at the same place(my position remains the same); and this happens to me while using blink on flat ground without any obstacles.

because i have full exotic rabid gear(with run of the undead), weapons and accessories and i just reach about 1600 base condition damage. My build is 0/20/20/0/30.
Is there something i am doing wrong?

I am not sure about RISE, but WM and CO left Kaineng.

To the human thing… My guess is that it might be for something later, like if there is a Return/Rescue/Search of the Gods expansion at one point if they extend the personal stories, Humans may be sent to rescue the gods they chose.

That would be great! when i made my character, being a mesmer, i have naturally decided to be a follower of Lyssa; however once in game, i was so disappointed to realize that it didn’t have any kind of incidence;
So yeah i hope that Anet hides such surprises in its bag for us

i wouldn’t mind if we actually end up going back in T8 or T7, we was losing a lot back then, but there was a good mood and spirit in the server, and i remember, i was having a lot of fun.

well i really like him, he seems so nice and devoted, i also like how he seems to get closer and closer with our character;

if it is actually true , i am kinda sad at WM leaving Kaineng i liked some of their commanders who go on TS and are very helpful and often give good advice (schizo lizi, Jang, Sarabi…..).
To be honest, it is a bit difficult for me to understand, how you can leave a server with whom you have been working and sharing for so long, but well i guess it’s because i have been in Kaineng ever since i joined the game back in september, it made me kinda faithful to it. Also, back then, Kaineng used to be constantly the last of the last of every server, so i don’t really care about losing, i liked the “never give up” spirit.

Today just now, apparently, a spy infiltrated Kaineng server and has killed 3 of us in the EB jumping puzzle by activating the fire traps.

Well as for me, one thing is sure : i will never leave Kaineng, this is my home.
I just can’t imagine going to another server.

So here is my mesmer; I will begin to look for some nice looking skins for my armor as soon as i manage to get my exotic gear (which my take some time as the temples in Orr are always contested -__-, setting up a party in a low populated server is pretty tough).

i went through the 6 pages, and it was interesting to see everybody adding their own personal touch on their mesmers, i like the fact that people from the same class can look so different.
I want to post my mesmer too, but i don,t really know how to post a screen shot or even how to remove the skills icon, character’name… from the screenshot

Well, at one point i had the same problem as you: dealing very little damages, dying very fast, constantly running around…..
So i decided to do some researchs on the net, i read advices from other fellow mesmers, and then i have choosen the path that fit my taste: reset my traits, updated my gear accordingly… and now i dont have much problem anymore in PVE, because i know how i am supposed to play.
you need to ask yourself what kind of playstyle you prefer: burst? condition damage?…..
and what kind of weapon you like the most :sword? staff?…. and then choose the best option for you.
