I can confirm this as it happens to me too. It didn’t happen in the past as I lvled multiple characters in the area and haven’t seen any fps drops before.

Lots of talk about pvp which I loathe, don’t participate in and consider it the thing that ruins the game experience the most. I want my time wasted watching this back.

I agree with Krip and others. Same situation here, I don’t care about your flawed security measures in the least. Since I start playing I only managed to buy gems ONCE through paypal, all other attempts (10 or so) went to support.

Your replies are nothing but PR talk without any solution. How come people who run this company (not the developers, people who run it – people who are not gamers and only care for money) do not fire someone over this? Your innefective and non-working fraud “prevention” measures do only one thing, prevent playerbase from stuffing money into your company.

Fine, Turbine or PerfectWorld don’t have any trouble taking them from me with the same paypal details i’m trying to use for GW2, I’ll let them have it then, and you can pay your staff in in-game gold, bacause thats what I’m (and looking around forums to dozens with same problem (and hundreds who don’t bother to post about it i’m sure)) using to buy gems from now on.

I think you should rework your system, I have tried to use paypal to buy gems on 5 separate occasions with always being redirected to support page with an unspecified error.

I don’t care about your support in the least, I don’t need support, I need you to take my money. I wish not to contact support each time I decide to use the gem store.

You see, regardless of what you consider proper procedure, I as a consumer am looking only for speed and comfort. Your paypal payments broken? Well then lets convert pixel gold to gems then (takes 10sec), or open a ticket and wait for an answer up to few days. Surely even you can see which of those I am gonna pick and how much revenue will that generate for your company.

Tried to support your company and buy gems today for the char slot sale, it failed 4 times with unspecified error taking me to the useless support page – pathetic.

Just thought I’d let you know, if you don’t want my money I’ll buy the char slots with pixel gold.

The link you see in the window popup is blocked by an chrome extension ScriptSafe, which lists and blocks (amongst others) all known malware domains from MVPS HOSTS, hpHOSTS (ad / tracking servers), Peter Lowe’s HOSTS Project, MalwareDomainList.com, and DNS-BH – Malware Domain Blocklist

Without addon you are not seeing this link at all but the call to the malware site gets processed nonetheless. These are invisible html elements used to track whatever the tracking server has resources to, from simple ip address logging to (in case of malware infected sites) keyboard logging and personal information stealing.

My PC is not infected 100% as this has been tested on 3 machines, 1 of them fresh install of Win7 with just chrome, other one VM and the last my day-to-day PC.

All 3 scanned with ESET, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes Antimalware and Webroot – 100% clean results.

I’m not saying ArenaNet is spying on us, but ArenaNet is employing services of some other server which might have been compromised thus compromising everyone accessing it.

GW2 main page (not forum) contains a call to page at address d.xp1.ru4.com. This address redirects to xplusone.com

This is a known address silently distributing malware according to Google, OpenDNS, WoT.

Are the people from ArenaNet responding sporadically to this thread joking? “Oh noes we don’t have lfg tool and we will not tell you if we will make one, but go use some shifty 3rd party site” Are you for real? This is behaviour that I would find unacceptable in f2p game, not to say in a game I paid for, and continue to support via gem shop.

I’ve always had great trust in Anet but the attitude stemming from the dev responses in this thread feels like a blow under belt for me.

I have been running dungeons most of the last 2 days, and gotten 100 cogs off the winter dungeon in both grove and divinity’s reach. If you exploit dungeons and skip mobs so much that you hit dungeon DR you fully deserve it.

Stop crying your 15min rush zergs noone enjoys now take 20min. Don’t like the game – don’t play – plenty more space for the thousands that do enjoy the game so much they aint got the time to whine on forums.

overlay never worked in gw2 “out of the box”

1. Go to Settings→Plugins in TS3.
2 .Select Overlay and then Settings
3. Select GW2.exe in the Profile dropdown.
4. Uncheck all the Direct3D options, except for Direct3D 9 (which is what GW2 uses).
5. Switch to Input tab
6. Check “Enable Mouse Poll” and “Use in-game cursor”
7. Switch to extended, and check “Used ID3DDevice:present hook…” (This is what fixes the animations not showing in GW2)

First thing you should do is a LFG tool. Your fixes, while appreciated, will be useless if i’m forced to sit in LA or dungeon zone trying to find group, instead of being listed in lfg tool and doing whatever I wish.

I like exploring and I like dungeons too but sitting one hour in LA trying to coerce someone into story mode takes all the fun out of the game.

Bottom line -

If I don’t feel like dungeoneering, this game is stunningly awesome and brings me much joy.

If I want to do dungeon the game becomes a chore and unpleasant test of waiting for nothing.

Thank you for your continuous fixes. Please don’t let the oligophrenic minority attacking you on forums dishearten you.

There is nothing wrong with FoTM or dungeon grinding. some like it (i do), some not. with audience so broad anet will never please everyone.

The problem lies in the unacceptable and unexplainable absence of any kind of LFG tool. Without LFG tool, when you want to do any dungeon, not just fotm, you have to sit in the zone spam map chat getting nigh to zero responses as everyone sits in LA / sit in lions arch posting your line between the spam of lfm fotm lvl x messages.

Give us proper LFG cross-server cross-character queqeing tool so I can go explore, do dynamic events, hunt vistas on any char any place in world, then when my group is ready alert us and let us go any dungeon we want and queqed for.

You wanted to break the MMO stereotypes, do a unrestricted lfg that is actually effective to use then, why force people who want to do dungeons to the confinements of LA or the dungeon zone.

Yes I know I could join a guild and do the same dungeons with same people, I prefer the pug aspect which works greatly in gw2 – i.e. no mob/node/quest item stealing etc. I should not be forced into guild if I want to enjoy the game as a nameless hero joining other brave adventurers in the world to cleanse its evils, not a memeber of a adventurers organisation.
