3rd event and no progression and no functional stat increasing items. 100k taffy currency for vanity.
I love that you are changing the environments and such but this barbie dress up and pokemon is a really boring design.

when if ever will we see progression dungeon content or more skills or more items that actually offer functionality?

I am writing this on behalf of a friend of mine who was recently banned due to a violation of the end user agreement. His case number is: 130605 – 001824.
The purpose of my post is to ask that the case be reviewed further as I believe as does he that the ban was in error. I have known this person for some time and do not believe he would be involved in anything that would get him permanently banned. I also am writing because my friend did spend a good amount of time investing in his characters and now they have been stripped from him. Please review the case number as stated above further so this issue can be resolved and my friend can return to the game soon.

both systems dont work. if classes had a wider range of skills and we had actual traditional heals and such the numbers would not matter. however as it is he who has most on the field is victorious. because of this the number one calculation should be numbers on field.
numbers when win, numbers each interval of time, numbers on open of competition. if numbers are not brought heavily into the equation or if an abundance of new cc heals and weapon skills are not brought into wvw it will be 1 side victor by large margin and wvw will be very boring.

I have watched WvW for a few months now and the rankings. I am from Stormbluff Isle.
Before the new match up system we were matched with SoS in rank yet SoS consistently won far more than SBI anytime I played WvW. So to me the calculations were incorrect by a lot back before the change. Now enter the new rng change and we go up against DB. 37k(DB) 7k (SBI). DB was just handed ez mode month.

ANets matchup system before rng and at present is just fail. Before the calculations were incorrect and now they are simply fail.

The matchup system should not just calculate end result numbers. It should take into account activity of players and numbers on the field at varying times. If there are 100 players on x side and 42 players on z side and z just so happens to hold down forts at the end of a timer players x are still have likely earned far and beyond more kills and achievements. ANet you need a much more robust algorithm here for matching WvW. In addition being stuck with a total fail matchup for 1 month is like declaring the WvW closed for the lowest server. Sure we can try and rally more people into WvW and try harder but trying to move people is fail unless they want to go. Your game is all rng as it is now to gamble for wvw… meh!

Bottom line since you are very slow creating progression end game content that is replayable WvW and PvP is where I guess your aiming to attract people to. End number calculation and this new rng matchup simply will make it 1 ez mode team each month and be a greater discouragement to the losing servers who go up against 2x or more their numbers.

Go back to the drawing board ANet. Come up with a more robust algorithm. Get rid of WvW gamble code.

Fix the Harpy Fractal

As it is now the Harpy Fractal ranging from 10 and above has 2 parts that are fail mechanic. Both involve leaping from platform to platform while having balls hurled at you. In theory this mechanic in the Fractal is a good design. In practice it is not. The reason for this is it impossible to see the AOE circles when the electric balls are hurled at anyone. And when 3 Harpys are firing Electric balls no manner of Reflective CD will counteract their abilities. Because of this the mechanic is absolutely broken for the platforms and almost always involves falling a lot and wasting time on something that can not be skilled by (Excluding massive OP dps or back to back invis bypass.)
If you are determined to use this fail mechanic at least increase ascended material chance on Harpies to balance the amount of time wasted. (which can be more than all the other Fractals combined)
The real solution is either add something that counters the balls like the Dwayna Tears for the fan part or remove the electric balls being thrown. Spending a massive amount of time trying to get to the top of the platforms when there is no real surefire strategy to accomplish the task is just fail and disrespectful to us players.

The UI as is still needs many more customization options.

*All UI elements should be draggable and lockable.
*Items on the top of screen should be able to be moved to the bottom.
*Persistent messages like Living Story or Personal *Story as well as meta or heart events should be able to be moved or outright disabled from view.
*Inventory should be scalable and separate bags should have the option of being open independently.
*Move confirmation pop ups like the one in fractals to the side of the screen or to the bottom corners and make it smaller. (Having my chest blocked with a forced overlay at the end of every fractal is obstructive)
*Add 1 or 2 hot keys for items (Leaving my bags open to use items is cumbersome)

Overall the UI is absent customization options and does not match the standard of today’s games with it’s lack of functionality and control. If you are not interested in opening it up to MODs then add some base level control over placement locking and scaling.

Boost passion flower drop rate

I appreciate that the back item dropped from Southsun is an actual functional item. Especially for fractals. However the grind to acquire passion flowers to upgrade it is way too arduous. Considering the back piece is a forced set of stats and also has no innate AR like fractal backs and most take a hit to use it for the fractal infusion slot or for looks the days required to get 100 passion flowers to upgrade it (excluding the outright buy from tp approach) is out of balance. Karkas are easy enough to get and the passion flowers should be more in line with them. With only 2 or 3 guaranteed spots for passion flowers that is farming every day until the end of the event with some lucky rng on normal passiflora to fill in the 10 to 15 extra.

Make a conversion system for passion flower from karka or globs in the forge.
Reduce the amount needed for upgrade.
Increase the spawn of blooming and decrease the timer for rest of nodes.

any of the above would make it more enticing to actually try for an upgrade. I got the back item because I thought it would have innate AR when upgraded and would be a feasible approach to gain more AR for fractals as I got my fractal back. I quickly learned that with the forced stats and no innate AR and the amount of time it will take to upgrade it without gold it was not worth it and went back to fractals.

More mechanics. More end game content.

Currently we have explorable dungeons and fractals for pve end game. More than half of these are zerged and the actually mechanics are ignored. Fractals much less so than explore mode dungeons. We also have no content larger than 5 man. What we do have is an abundance of created content that is pure vanity.

My suggestion is to add content that requires mechanics and requires more than 5 people and is tested so it actually has to be done with mechanics.
Most every fractal thus far I have played is unique in the way different things need to be activated or used in order to overcome the obstacle. I just want more of that and less mini naked puppets and an abundance of skins that have zero functionality.

Overall there is some really innovative approaches to mechanics in dungeons and the class system in general but there are far too many ways to exploit and bypass them and there is not enough of it at this phase of the game.

Been playing for about 2 months now.
I am fairly versed in all the Dungeons excluding Arah and all the Fractals (only up to 10 now)
End game to me in an MMO is running dungeons to perfect skill and precision.
I am in a casual guild that I will represent from time to time but I am looking for another guild I can reliably run with and support their Dungeons and Fractal runs.
I am on Stormbluff Isle server.

Jumped 2 Servers and this sthing is bugged on 3 servers. Disable the trigger. 7 Months of a bug means you will be unlikely to find the bug or have the resources to do so.
You could also remove the vista or auto activate it or move it to the ground.
7 Months is a very long time to have the exact same problem!

Been scouring the internets in search of either drop information or unlock information for the masterwork food for cooking.
I am specifically referring to the tray of x or bowls of x.
How do I unlock these recipes?
If these are drops where is there a list of drop locations?

Anyone know what was pushed today? I like to actually know what is being pushed onto my machine and for what purpose.

Please add UI customization.
A robust UI should at the very least include toggles for the different elements. (toggle Mini Map, Toggle Objectives, Toggle Option Icons, toggle toggle toggle..)
In addition the main elements on screen should be at the very least movable and if possible sizable as well.

The only way currently to experience this game without annoying and unnecessary clutter is at max resolution on a large monitor. A UI that has no customization forces people to be limited in their experience of the game world itself by pop ups overlays and larger than needed buttons.

I do not understand why the main avenue for experiencing the game which is the UI can only be altered in a few minimal ways.

Please add UI customization. An option friendly UI is a must for both a games longevity and the user bases comfortability and navigational ease of use with it.

I started Guild Wars 2 recently and as I do I immediately went into the options to find ways to move UI elements and outright disable others. What I found is absolutely no customization for the UI besides 3 options for size.

It seems like a trend and that is new MMOs are moving far away from offering any form off UI customizations. I can not seem to understand the reasoning behind this trend unless its purely financial and they don’t want to pay more money to the UI engineer to create options. UI options are not a forced thing and they do nothing to actual in game balancing.

The issue I usually have as with most games is that I am looking at too much information and would like to disable some of it. Maybe I want to just explore a map without a mini map. I cant do that because I can’t turn off mini maps. Maybe I do not want to see a list of objectives on the screen. Maybe I do not want to see option icons taking up screen space when I use keys for all of them.

Simple options to me such is enable/disable are well were a standard in UIs for games. But like I said now the trend is seemingly the opposite even at times to the point where us lefties cant remap keys for gameplay in some games.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to allow modding of the UI or to create more user friendly options for it?
